[IMG] Guardian: I bid you welcome, pilgrim.

    [IMG] Bro: Stand aside.

[IMG] Guardian: I cannot. It is my duty to protect the Urn.

[IMG] Bro: Wow, that sounds terribly dull.

[IMG] Guardian: There is joy to be found in my duty.

[IMG] Bro: Let's not waste time. How do I get to the Urn?

[IMG] Guardian: You have come to honor Andraste, and you shall, if you prove yourself worthy.

[IMG] Bro: So I have to fight you?

[IMG] Guardian: It is not my place to decide your worthiness. The Gauntlet does that.

[IMG] Guardian: If you are found worthy, you will see the Urn and be allowed to take a small pinch of the Ashes for yourself. If not...-

[IMG] Bro: I demand that you take me to the Urn.

[IMG] Guardian: There is only one way to the Ashes, and that is through the Gauntlet.

[IMG] Bro: Very well. I will enter the Gauntlet.

[IMG] Guardian: Before you go, there is something I must ask. I see that the path that led you here was not easy.

[IMG] Guardian: There is suffering in your past -- your suffering, and the suffering of others.

[IMG] Guardian: You allowed yourself to be manipulated by Bhelen, and you murdered your elder brother, Trian.

[IMG] Guardian: Do you think you failed Trian?

[IMG] Bro: No. I only wish I had killed Bhelen too.

[IMG] Guardian: Then you do not dwell on past mistakes -- neither yours, nor someone else's.

[IMG] Morrigan: One wonders what this Guardian's purpose is. Be wary of his traps.

[IMG] Leliana: What's past is past. Why bring it up and open old wounds?

[IMG] Sten: Parshaara. Leave the past where it falls.

[IMG] Morrigan: Is there any religion that does not thrive upon the guilt like a glutton at his lunch? No? I thought not.

[IMG] Leliana: You could not have known what would happen. You did what you thought was best.

[IMG] Guardian: And what of those that follow you?

[IMG] Guardian: And you... why do you say the Maker speaks to you, when all know that the Maker has left? He spoke only to Andraste. Do you believe yourself Her equal?

[IMG] Leliana: I never said that! I--

[IMG] Guardian: In Orlais, you were someone. In Lothering, you feared you would lose yourself, become a drab sister, and disappear.

[IMG] Guardian: When your brothers and sisters of the cloister criticized you for what you professed, you were hurt, but you also reveled in it.

[IMG] Guardian: It made you special. You enjoyed the attention, even if it was negative.

[IMG] Leliana: You're saying I made it up, for... for the attention? I did not! I know what I believe!

[IMG] Sten: Demand whatever answers you want, spirit.

[IMG] Guardian: You came to this land as an observer, but you killed a family in a blind rage. Have you failed your people, by allowing a qunari to be seen in that light?

[IMG] Sten: I have never denied that I failed.

[IMG] Guardian: And you, Morrigan, Flemeth's daughter... what--

[IMG] Morrigan: Begone, spirit. I will not play your games.

[IMG] Guardian: I will respect your wishes.

[IMG] Guardian: The way is open. Good luck, and may you find what you seek.

    Sten approves +2

A room full of spirits. You'll have to crack difficult, difficult riddles.

[IMG] Ealisay: The smallest lark could carry it, while a strong man might not.

[IMG] Ealisay: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: A tune.

[IMG] Ealisay: Yes. I was Andraste's dearest friend in childhood, and always we would sing. She celebrated the beauty of life, and all who heard Her would be filled with joy.

[IMG] Ealisay: They say the Maker Himself was moved by Andaste's song, and then She sang no more of simple things.

[IMG] Lady Vasilia: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,

[IMG] Lady Vasilia: The debt of blood must be paid in full.

[IMG] Lady Vasilia: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: Vengeance.

[IMG] Lady Vasilia: Yes. My husband, Hessarian, would have chosen a quick death for Andraste. I made him swear that She would die publicly, with Her warleaders, that all would know the Imperium's strength.

[IMG] Lady Vasilia: I am justice. I am vengeance. Blood can only be repaid in blood.

Creativity fail. Quoting passages from Bible quickly gets old.

[IMG] Disciple Havard: The bones of the world stretch towards the sky's embrace.

[IMG] Disciple Havard: Veiled in white, like a bride greeting her groom.

[IMG] Disciple Havard: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: The mountains.

[IMG] Disciple Havard: Yes. I carried Andraste's Ashes out of Tevinter into the mountains to the east where She could gaze ever into Her Maker's sky...

[IMG] Disciple Havard: No more fitting a tomb than this could we find.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: No man has seen it but all men know it.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: Lighter than air, sharper than any sword.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: Comes from nothing, but will fell the strongest armies.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: Hunger.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: Yes, hunger was the weapon used against the wicked men of the Tevinter Imperium.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: The Maker kindled the sun's flame, scorching the land. Their crops failed, and their armies could not march. Then He opened the heavens and bade the waters flow, and washed away their filth.

[IMG] Disciple Cathaire: I am Cathaire, disciple of Andraste and commander of Her armies. I saw these things done, and knew the Maker smiled on us.

The right row is done. Now the left one.

[IMG] Brona: Echoes from a shadow realm, whispers of things yet to come.

[IMG] Brona: Thought's strange sister dwells in night, is swept away by dawning light.

[IMG] Brona: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: Dreams.

[IMG] Brona: A dream came upon me, as my daughter slumbered beneath my heart. It told of her life, and of her betrayal and death.

[IMG] Brona: I am sorrow and regret. I am a mother weeping bitter tears for a daughter she could not save.

[IMG] Thane Shartan: I'd neither a guest nor a trespasser be; in this place I belong, that belongs also to me.

[IMG] Thane Shartan: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: Home.

[IMG] Thane Shartan: It was my dream for the people to have a home of their own, where we would have no masters but ourselves.

[IMG] Thane Shartan: The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and thus we followed Andraste, against the Imperium.

[IMG] Thane Shartan: But She was betrayed, and so were we.

    [IMG] General Maferath: A poison of the soul, passion's cruel counterpart;

[IMG] General Maferath: From love she grows, till love lies slain.

[IMG] General Maferath: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: Jealousy.

[IMG] General Maferath: Yes, jealousy drove me to betrayal. I was the greatest general of the Alamarri, but beside Her I was nothing. Hundreds fell before Her on bended knee. They loved Her, as did the Maker.

[IMG] General Maferath: I loved Her too, but what man can compare with a god?

[IMG] Archon Hessarian: She wields the broken sword, and separates true king from tyrants.

[IMG] Archon Hessarian: Of what do I speak?

    [IMG] Bro: Mercy.

[IMG] Archon Hessarian: Yes. I could not bear the sight of Andraste's suffering, and mercy bade me end Her life.

[IMG] Archon Hessarian: I am the penitent sinner, who shows compassion as he hopes compassion will be shown to him.

A door is opened at last. Whoa, what a surprise!

[IMG] Prince Trian: Greetings, my exiled brother.

[IMG] Prince Trian: I would lament your fate, but why should I? You have been cast out to walk the surface, whereas I... hmph...

[IMG] Prince Trian: You allowed Bhelen to make you his lackey. Are you proud of what you've done?

[IMG] Bro: Are you trying to make me regret my actions, spirit?

[IMG] Prince Trian: Nay, you have made your feelings clear on the matter.

[IMG] Prince Trian: But the betrayals of Orzammar do not weigh down your steps. You have not faltered, and I am proud of you.

[IMG] Prince Trian: Take this, and use it well. I give you this... and my blessing.

    [IMG] Prince Trian: Remember me.

He gives an amulet which grants bonus to constitution.

    Heh, our spirit "clones".

Why can't I do this with a real one? :(

Hurr hurr, a worthy replacement for the Tower of Hanoi.

    Step-by-step solution.

Altar: (This altar is little more than a dusty stone slab. You can make out an inscription carved into its face.)

Altar: ("Cast off the trappings of worldly life and cloak yourself in the goodness of spirit. King and slave, lord and beggar; be born anew in the Maker's sight.")

    Bro: (Remove equipment.)

Graphics fail. Blood stains all over the body even without equipment.

[IMG] Guardian: You have been through the trials of the gauntlet; you have walked the path of Andraste, and like Her, you have been cleansed. You have proven yourself worthy, pilgrim.

[IMG] Guardian: Approach the Sacred Ashes.

[IMG] Leliana: I have never dreamed I would ever lay my eyes on the Urn of Sacred Ashes... I... I have no words to express--

[IMG] Morrigan: I stand in awe. Really.

[IMG] Sten: Congratulations. You found a waste-bin.

Urn of Sacred Ashes: (These are the earthly remains of Andraste, Prophet and Bride of the Maker.)

[IMG] Bro: (Pour the dragon's blood into the Urn.)

Urn of Sacred Ashes: (Before destroying the Ashes, you gather up some of it and place it in a small leather pouch.)

Urn of Sacred Ashes: (You uncork the vial of dragon blood, and empty it into the Urn.)

    [IMG] Leliana: No!

    [IMG] Guardian: The Ashes!

    [IMG] Leliana: You.. fiend!

[IMG] Bro: (Intimidate) Before you do anything stupid, remember who I am.

[IMG] Leliana: I thought you were a person I was proud to stand beside. I was wrong and I will not let you get away with this.

[IMG] Guardian: This most grievous of sins cannot go unpunished. Andraste must be avenged.

    Kthxbye.

    And you too.

    Time to reap the rewards.

[IMG] Kolgrim: Already the weight of the past seems to have lifted off the mountain.

[IMG] Kolgrim: You are Andraste's knight-champion. What you have done here will change the world forever.

[IMG] Bro: You spoke of a reward?

[IMG] Kolgrim: Yes. It would be a grave sin to deny you your just reward.

[IMG] Kolgrim: You will share in the power of the dragon. You will become one of the children of the risen Andraste.

[IMG] Kolgrim: Behold... the blood of the dragon, drawn from the beating heart of a wyvern. Drink in the strength of a thousand generations.

[IMG] Bro: Yes. I will do this.

[IMG] Morrigan: Hmm... the blood of a dragon is not attained cheaply. Appreciate this gift.

    Bro passed out.

[IMG] Kolgrim: Do you feel any... differently?

[IMG] Bro: I remember things. Strange things.

[IMG] Kolgrim: The memories of the blood... a gift from Andraste. The knowledge of our fathers and grandfathers is slowly being passed to you.

[IMG] Kolgrim: Even if you leave, you will take us with you. You will forever be one of us.

    Reaver specialization is unlocked.

I don't need you anymore, lizard fanboys.

[IMG] Kolgrim: Ah, our champion has returned. Is there anything I can do for you?

[IMG] Bro: I have decided all of you are too dangerous to let live.

[IMG] Kolgrim: You would turn on us? After we've bestowed upon you the power granted by the Prophet?

[IMG] Kolgrim: If you seek death, then I will gladly give it to you.

The dude has nice two-handed axe on his body and a horn that summons the dragon.

Drake fights along with remaining cultists. His scales can be used for creation of an armor suit, albeit unremarkable one.

The passage leads to the exit.

Suddenly the obstacles are gone and you can loot the fallen knight's body. He has good armor of diligence.

He's still walking around here? That should be fixed ASAP.

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: Welcome back! You were gone for quite some time. Well? Did you find it?

    [IMG] Bro: The Urn? Yes.

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: What... what was it like? Coming to the Urn, I mean?

[IMG] Bro: It's just a stone flask with a burnt woman inside.

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: It may be that to you, but means so much more to thousands of people.

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: Perhaps my research will not seem so much like blasphemy to the Chantry now.

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: We must organize an expedition. There is so much history here. It must be studied. And... and pilgrims should be allowed to come to the Urn.

[IMG] Bro: Why? We should keep this secret to ourselves.

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: But the Urn belongs to all the faithful. How can you deny this to them? No... we must share it.

[IMG] Sten: Deny them a corpse? Unthinkable indeed.

[IMG] Morrigan: Yes. Share it. Spread the word and more will come under the Chantry's power. Is this not what you want?

[IMG] Brother Genetivi: I will spread this good news, or die trying.

[IMG] Bro: Then you will die. (Kill Genetivi.)

    It's over.

Is the main character the one that throws the dagger, or it's just an EXTREME animation (in other words you don't need to have knives in your inventory). Also, Leliana got killed and no-one of the party complained. :D :)

Can you prevent her of attacking you if you have enough influence?

And which things does that specialization include? Special abilities, or just a buff to your attributes?

Shame the story and characters are so badly written. The ability to kill and fight them is a fair bit of incline. Although the plot is like WTF.

That scene is indeed WTF due how over-the-top is, in fact, the guy should had died instantly, the only way for him to be able to stand and turn around before passing away was if he was (sort of) brainless, which is quite possible. :P

Wait, so it's not even possible to not take a pinch of ashes?

The whole thing there is kind of a missed opportunity, being able to choose between saving the Arl and getting his help or helping the cult and getting their help (or heck, getting both) woulda been good , but a bit difficult plot-wise.

Not really, unless I'm missing something.

Player: "We couldn't find the ashes"
Morrigan: "This was a fool's errand from the start"
    Arl's Wife: "Oh noes!"
    Arl: :dies:
Player: [Persuasion] You'll still help us, right? Your husband would have wanted you to.
Player: [Intimidate] You will help me avenge your husband's death! Loghain must pay!
    Arl's Wife: :helps:
    Alistair: :disapproves:

She doesn't need to know about the cultists, they're secretive and stuff. Knowing that they got together because of wasting all the ashes on whatever it was that it was supposed to accomplish would require some serious meta-gaming at that point.

Edit: Unless you refer to "You're the prince, you should do the right thing" business. First, Alastair knows it, and death of someone close to him might have pissed him off enough to do something for a change (although he would possibly blame the PC as well), and as for declaring him as a candidate for the throne at Landsmeet, well, I don't think the Arl would just walk in and say "Hay, this guy here is son of Marick, how about he's new king! No proof required cause I say so!" and get away with it. There must be some records or notes or whatever that could be shown to Landsmeet anyway.

I'm not sure I can go with you in thinking the wife has enough sway to convince the Landsmeet? Hell, it's pretty clear throughout that the Arl's personal reputation is what the entire plan hinges on.

Good try, no kiddin', but this is a classic case of BioWare having written themselves in a corner, where you need the Arl for the Landsmeet. And barring contrived deus ex machinas, I don't see any outs either.

    AFAIK, yes.

    http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Reaver

2 Angthoron. She is Orlesian - worst possible supporter ever.

Second expedition to the temple to kill remaining stuff.

    More scales for the armor

Big room with cultist overseer. May be challenging if you'll try to rush.

Drakes will spawn out of nowhere if you get close to the overseer. LOL @ encounter design.

The overseer has nice Arcane Warrior-exclusive sword.

    And the last batch.

Now we'll bring the cure to Eamon.

    Cutscene.

    Denerim

[IMG] Rendon Howe: Sire? I have more news.

[IMG] Rendon Howe: Err.. yes. Well, it seems that the fighting had gone exactly as you--

    [IMG] Queen Anora: Enough.

[IMG] Queen Anora: I would like to know what you intend to accomplish, Father. Should we not be fighting the darkspawn instead of each other?

[IMG] Loghain: The nobility shall be brought in line, and then the darkspawn defeated. This is no true Blight, Anora. Only Cailan's vanity demanded it be so.

[IMG] Rendon Howe: Beg pardon, sire, but Blight or no, we may not have the manpower to face the darkspawn soon.

[IMG] Queen Anora: Cailan approached the Orlesians for support, did he not?

[IMG] Loghain: Never! Maric and I drove those bastards out! We will not roll out the welcome for them now!

[IMG] Queen Anora: We need help, Father! We cannot deal with this crisis alone!

[IMG] Loghain: Ferelden will stand on its own! I will lead it through this, Anora! You must have faith in me!

[IMG] Queen Anora: Did you kill Cailan?

[IMG] Loghain: Cailan's death was his own doing.

And the random encounter. Dwarven merchant again.

    The castle

[IMG] Bann Teagan: You return. Might you have news?

[IMG] Bro: I found the Urn.

[IMG] Bann Teagan: You have? Wonderful! Let us go at once to Eamon's side and see if the Urn's healing powers live up to their reputation!

    Cut

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Wh-where am I?

[IMG] Bann Teagan: Be calm, Brother. You have been deathly ill for a very long time. Do you remember nothing?

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Teagan? What are you doing here? Where is Isolde?

[IMG] Isolde: I am here, my husband.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: And Connor? Where is my boy? Where is our son?

[IMG] Isolde: He... he is dead. Connor is dead.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Dead? Then... it was not a dream?

[IMG] Bann Teagan: Much has happened since you fell ill, Brother. Some of it will not be... easy for you to hear.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Then tell me. I wish to hear all of it.

    Cut

[IMG] Arl Eamon: This is most troubling.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: There is much to be done, that is true. But I should first be thankful to those who have done so much.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Grey Warden, I know you did what you had to. I grieve for my son, but I believe that had you not acted as you did, it might have been far worse.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: I am in your debt. Will you permit me to offer you a reward for your service?

[IMG] Bro: I need no reward from any human lord.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Err... are you certain? I simply mean to honor your efforts, nothing more.

[IMG] Bro: As you wish, then.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Then allow me to declare you and those traveling with you champions of Redcliffe. You will always be a welcome guest within these halls.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: And for you, Warden, a shield of the same make as those that have been given to our finest knights.

[IMG] Bro: I suppose this will do.

[IMG] Bann Teagan: We should speak of Loghain, Brother. There is no telling what he will do once he learns of your recovery.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Loghain instigates a civil war even though the darkspawn are on our very doorstep. Long I have known him. He is a sensible man; one who never desired power.

[IMG] Bann Teagan: I was there when he announced he was taking control of the throne, Eamon. He is mad with ambition, I tell you.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Mad indeed. Mad enough to kill Cailan, to attempt to kill myself and destroy my lands.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Whatever happened to him, Loghain must be stopped. What's more, we can scarce afford to fight this war to its bitter end.

[IMG] Bro: What are you proposing, then?

[IMG] Arl Eamon: We have no time to wage a campaign against him. Someone must surrender if Ferelden is to have any chance at fighting the darkspawn.

[IMG] Bro: Loghain must capitulate, then.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: I agree. Loghain will pay for heinous crimes. But our armies must be reserved for the darkspawn, not for each other.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: I will spread word of Loghain's treachery, both here and against the king. But it will be but a claim made without proof.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Those claims will give Loghain's allies pause, but we must combine it will a challenge Loghain cannot ignore. We need someone with a stronger claim to the throne than Loghain's daughter, the queen.

[IMG] Bann Teagan: Are you referring to Alistair, Brother? Are you certain?

[IMG] Arl Eamon: I would not propose such a thing if we had an altenative. But the unthinkable has occured.

[IMG] Bro: Alistair would be a terrible king!

[IMG] Alistair: Hey! I'm right here!

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Teagan and I have a claim through marriage, but we would seem opportunists, no better than Loghain. Alistair's claim is by blood.

[IMG] Alistair: And what about me? Does anyone care what I want?

[IMG] Arl Eamon: You have a responsibility, Alistair. Without you, Loghain wins. I would have to support him, for the sake of Ferelden. Is that what you want?

[IMG] Alistair: I... but I... no, my lord.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: I see only one way to proceed. I will call for a Landsmeet, a gathering of all Ferelden's nobility in the city of Denerim. There, Ferelden can decide who shall rule, one way or another.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: The the business of fighting our true foe can begin. What say you to that, my friend? I do not wish to proceed without your blessing.

[IMG] Bro: I say we proceed with your plan.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: Very well, I will send out the word.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: It will take some time to recall my forces and organize our allies. I would prefer to wait until that is doen before calling the Landsmeet.

[IMG] Arl Eamon: In the meantime, I suggest you pursue the remainder of the Grey Warden treaties. We will need all the allies we can get if we are to defeat the darkspawn horde.

The "reward" unlocks champion specialization + one talent point.

    1) Circle of Magi
    2) Brecilian Forest
    3) Borezammar

    or

    4) Warden's Keep.

    So, which one?

Circle of Magi --- it's just up the street and around the corner. Also, potential lulz factor is much higher.

Reaver, IMO, is not worth all the drama you have to go through to get it. I gave it to Sten, and it was practically useless. Berzerker or Champion are mo better.

What, you didn't use the horn and summon the dragon? He's an easy kill, and the scales come in handy later.

Well, that's true. And Twinkle's point on her being Orlesian. Then again, I still think it could be possible. First, to her being Orlesian - she is that, yes - but the Arl with spotless reputation had her as his wife, had a child with her, trusted her for years, and now he's dead, and his widow, infuriated, hurt, mad with hatred, appears before Landsmeet to deliver a bomb of a statement. Think about it, really. A woman, an orlesian to boot, comes to shame the local Arls for not having done a damn to save their own country, allowing an usurper, a traitor, a king-killer to start a civil war and kill them off one by one, no matter who they are, no matter their name or achievements or reputation.

Done well, with some good writing, acting and directing, this could have an enormous potential, and even if it failed (why not? there could be that option too - only some Arls support the Wardens in the end, and the Wardens end up having to kill Loghain so he doesn't interfere), it would still make the game have more memorable moments than awkward sex and "Enchantment" dwarf.

Problem is, we know we couldn't expect good writing even if it was full of cheese, nor a turn of events that would even pretend to stray from the normal path. Pipe vision, if you will.

Sorry bros, I'm doing mages :fakeC&C:

    Teh tower

The deserter. Doesn't even try to hide.

[IMG] Sammael the Deserter: You have some kind of problem?

[IMG] Bro: I'm here on behalf of the Blackstone Irregulars.

[IMG] Sammael the Deserter: Oh? What is this about?

[IMG] Bro: I'm here to bring you in for desertion.

[IMG] Sammael the Deserter: Oh, I see. Taoran must have sent you.

[IMG] Sammael the Deserter: I refuse to answer to a pawn of Taoran! Come, men! To arms!

We collect stolen supplies from his body.

Old dude and mages' collective representative stand nearby. It's fun to see zero reaction from NPCs when people get chopped and burned right in their faces.

[IMG] Kester: Why, bless my soul, what's a distinguished personage like yourself doing here?

[IMG] Bro: I was looking to get across the lake to the tower.

[IMG] Kester: Ha! Don't hold your breath. No one's been allowed across the lake for days.

[IMG] Kester: I'm the ferryman, leastwise I used to be. Poor old Kester, out of a job.

[IMG] Bro: So I can't get across?

[IMG] Kester: Greagoir just came down, and said, "Don't you worry, Kester. We got it all under control, we do." Didn't say nothing else.

[IMG] Kester: And then he puts Carroll in charge of my boat, Lissie! Named for my grandmum, she was.

[IMG] Bro: I should get going.

[IMG] Kester: You go on ahead then. It were nice talking to you.

    More quests from magic bag.

I've collected 10 mushrooms long time ago. Now, the reward.

[IMG] Mages' Collective Liaison: A little something extra. For friendship.

Hurr, the liaisons look the same everywhere. Clones?
    The tavern.

That's the whole tavern for you.

    [IMG] Larana: Yes?

[IMG] Bro: Would someone like to handle this for me?

[IMG] Alistair: I'm sorry but your husband has fallen in battle. You have my condolences.

[IMG] Larana: What?! This is terrible! My beloved!

    She runs away

[IMG] Innkeeper: Good day, and welcome to the Spoiled Princess! Is there something I can get for you?

[IMG] Bro: I'd like a drink.

[IMG] Innkeeper: Of course. What would you like?

    Oddly, he sells mostly potions.

Time to gain access to the giant penis tower.

[IMG] Carroll: You! You're not looking to get across to the tower, are you? Because I have strict orders not to let anyone pass!

[IMG] Bro: I am a Grey Warden and I seek the assistance of the mages.

[IMG] Carroll: Oh, you're a Grey Warden, are you? Prove it.

[IMG] Bro: I don't have to prove anything to you.

[IMG] Carroll: So I'm not good enough for you? Fine. See if you get into the tower on your own.

[IMG] Bro: (Intimidate) I warn you, my patience is wearing thin.

[IMG] Carroll: Uhhh... is that bad? Look, I'm uh, just trying to do my job.

[IMG] Carroll: I'll take you right now... just like you wanted.

    [IMG] Bro: Yes, please do.

[IMG] Carroll: Come along, I suppose.

    My god, ITZ big!

The tower is in dissaray. Something EVIL(tm) has happened.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: ...and I want two men stationed within sight of the doors at all times. Do not open the doors without my express consent. Is that clear?

    [IMG] Templar: Yes, ser.

[IMG] Alistair: The doors are barred. Are they keeping people out? Or in?

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: Now we wait, and pray.

[IMG] Bro: So you're in charge?

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: Who are you? I explicitly told Carroll not to bring anyone across the lake.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: We are dealing with a very delicate situation. You must leave, for your own safety.

[IMG] Bro: Not without a promise for assistance in the coming war.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: We cannot help, no matter which side of the civil war you represent. The Circle's fate hangs in the balance, and the templars that serve it must remain.

[IMG] Bro: No, I need mages to battle the Blight.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: I am weary of the Grey Wardens' ceaseless need for men to fight the darkspawn, but it is their right.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: You'll find no allies here. The templars can spare no men, and the mages are... indisposed. I shall speak plainly: The tower is no longer under our control.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: Abominations and demons stalk the tower's halls.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: The Circle is lost. The tower has fallen.

[IMG] Bro: Sounds like the templars haven't been doing their job.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: My men did what they could, but it wasn't enough.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: They took us down by surprise. We were prepared for one or two abominations -- not the horde that fell upon us.

[IMG] Bro: Why don't you rally your men and kill them all?

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: I would destroy the tower, raze it to the ground, but I cannot risk more of my men. The doors remain shut and they will protect us for now.

[IMG] Bro: That's no solution. Doors can be broken.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: We do not mean for the doors to stay closed forever. Everything in the tower must be eliminated.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: I have sent word to Denerim, calling for reinforcements and the Right of Annulment.

[IMG] Bro: What does that mean?

[IMG] Alistair: The mages are probably already dead. Any abominations remaining in there must be dealt with no matter what.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: This situation is dire. There is no alternative -- everything in the tower must be destroyed so it can be made safe again.

[IMG] Bro: Why wait? I could go clean the tower out now.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: I assure you, an abomination is a force to be reckoned with, and you will face more than one.

[IMG] Bro: Abominations cannot stand against me.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: If you succeed, I would owe you much, enough that I would pledge my templars to your cause.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: Without word from Denerim, I must determine our course. Surely destroying darkspawn is a worthy goal.

[IMG] Bro: We have an ageement, then.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: A word of caution... once you cross that threshold, there is no turning back. The great doors must remain barred. I will open them for no one until I have proof that it is safe.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: I will only believe it is over if the first enchanter stands before me and tells me it is so. If Irving has fallen... then the Circle is lost, and must be destroyed.

[IMG] Knight-Commander Greagoir: May Andaste lend you her courage, whatever you decide.

The last chance to buy something.

[IMG] Quartermaster: I wish this were over. We're running low on supplies and I don't know how much longer we'll last.

[IMG] Bro: You have supplies for sale?

[IMG] Quartermaster: Yes, would you like to trade?

[IMG] Bro: All right, let's trade.

Are generic plan B jokes relevant in pseudo-medieval setting?

BAM and the doors are closed.

First of all we dig through apprentice rooms in search of something valuable. Of course we'll find nothing.

Still some party members are in a mood for talk.

[IMG] Morrigan: Think of it, Zevran. you may have stumbled into a most delightful possibility for your future.

[IMG] Zevran: Oh? Are you dispensing professional advice now?

[IMG] Morrigan: It simply occurs to me that if, say, Alistair were to become king of Ferelden he may have need of someone of your... talents.

[IMG] Zevran: From what I know of the fellow it seems there would be a fair difference between what he needed and what he cared to make use of.

[IMG] Morrigan: If Alistair becomes king, it would certainly not be through any brilliance on his part. Whoever puts him there... now there's the one who will need you.

[IMG] Zevran: Hmmm. Now that's an interesting thought. You've such a devious mind, my dear. Why have we not made love as of yet?

[IMG] Morrigan: For what purpose? I would sooner stab you in the face than let you touch me, elf.

[IMG] Zevran: And somehow that makes the idea even more intriguing...

What awaits us behind this creepy door?

    Correct answer: extreme GILFs.

[IMG] Wynne: Stop right there! Take another step, and I swear I will strike you down where you stand!

[IMG] Bro: Who are you to threaten me?

[IMG] Wynne: I am Wynne, mage of the Circle, and these children are under my protection.

[IMG] Wynne: Who are you, and what is your purpose here? Have the templars opened the door? Speak quickly -- I'll have no games.

[IMG] Bro: Watch your tone with me, mage.

[IMG] Wynne: Or what? I've dealt with every demon that has dared to threaten me and my own. You are a lesser menace than they.

[IMG] Wynne: Knowing you must have been sent by the templars does not endear you to me. Now, I ask again: who are you, and why are you here?

[IMG] Bro: I am here to deal with this pesky Circle once and for all.

[IMG] Wynne: I see. And did they tell you that you had to kill apprentices? Children?

[IMG] Bro: I will do what must be done.

[IMG] Wynne: You're mad if you think I'll let you lay a finger on these children. I will fight you if you won't listen to reason.

[IMG] Alistair: We should gain a better understanding of the situation before rushing in, pointy-end of sword first.

[IMG] Bro: This Circle must be destroyed, for all our sakes.

[IMG] Wynne: If you insist on making war upon the Circle, we have nothing more to discuss. It comes to blows, then.

[IMG] Alistair: No, stop! You can't just attack her! She's protected the children; she's not the one we should be wary of!

[IMG] Alistair: I think she's a good person. There's a lot she could help us with.

[IMG] Bro: Shut your mouth and fall in line.

[IMG] Wynne: I will stop you, or die trying.

    Alistair disapproves -5

Well, you were asking for it, granny. And about kids - they just disappear. :decline:

    We meet the first abomination.

Summoning font. Useless until you cleanse the tower.

    More abominations

One of the places of powah from a side-quest.

    And an exit

Twinkle is full of fake choices and consequences - decline!

Also, the apprentice rooms contain a bunch of clue notes, after getting all of them you can find a secret cache of potions and stuff. And I was able to use the Summoning Font bizznizz before clearing the tower, just when I came across it. It did feel a bit out of context, but meh, still got everything summoned and slaughtered like pigs.

lol @Knight-Commander's moaning of Grey Wardens constantly taking people away to battle the Blight, yeah, a Blight invasion happens every tenday, damn those Wardens for needing people to protect the world! Nicely written line right there.

Yeah, the summoning quest description tells you to wait, but you can just go ahead and do it the moment you get it.

Watchguard of the Reaching and the apprentice sidequest are both worth doing. I liked the tower, despite it being more or less another dungeon to trudge through.
