Now I remember. In my playthrough I first went a similar route (Stratos/Persephone/Persephone/Stratos). Since I was lacking ranged units I had hoped to get Charnel's Deadeyes but I obviously couldn't work for him anymore. I chose James and also had some serious trouble with this mission, so I loaded an earlier save and did the 4th mission again for Charnel (unfortunately sacrificing the awesome Storm Giants for his shitty Netherfiends, though the Animate Dead spell was really awesome actually). I got the Deadeyes (plus an another ranged unit afterwards) and an opportunity to do missions for an another god, for whom I had already worked (hopefully didn't spoil too much).

I think the best choice in your situation would be to stay with James. You'll get the Boulderdash - an another awesome (if somewhat expensive) sniper unit. Pyro's units are a bit uninteresting, except the very last one of course.

Don't be so smug about this, dawg.
AFAIR Arnie did not kill the guy in the picture (Dynamo).
I assumed that you voted "destroy dynamo" (stay).

We'd better hurry!

:rage:

It's like this thing I was talking about before...

We teleport close to the Dynamo

And attack it

Most of Ed's units die, but the Dynamo is destroyed:

Let's hope they don't have the resources to build another one.

Each god except for James gets his/her artillery creature at this level (James gets his sniper). Most gods get a wall spell at this level, which cuts off an avenue of retreat or keeps the enemy from getting into an area. The computer will almost never run units through wall spells.

Persephone

New creature:

Mutant

2enneko.jpg

Type: Ranged
Passive Abilities: While dying, a mutant’s body will shower healing energy upon all your forces in the surrounding area. Healing doesn’t apply to enemy units of course. Thrown Polyps have area damage.
Active Ability: None

GameFags said:
Mutant (3 Souls): This artillery unit chucks exploding hunks of itself at the enemy that do area damage, and when a mutant dies, it heals all allies near it. I believe that mutants have the longest range in the game, and their ability can come in useful. Great damage potential.
New spell:

Healing Aura
GameFags said:
Target a friendly unit and a glowing aura will surround them that continuously heals the unit and all nearby allies for the duration of the spell (pretty long).
Mission 06:

f1dqmc.jpg
James

New creature:

Boulderdash

2yw6d6s.jpg

Type: Ranged
Passive Abilities: Boulderdash shot splits into three parts, making it possible to hit multiple enemies at once (or to do triple damage to one large target).
Active Ability: None

GameFags said:
Boulderdash (4 Souls): James' sniper is expensive, but worth it! The boulderdash shoots a rock that splits into three rocks (two going off at 45 degree angles) about two-thirds of the way to the target. Each rock does great damage, and if all three hit, then it's almost a guaranteed kill against any creature with less than 5 souls. Boulderdash's, like any James unit, are slow.
New spell:

Wall of Spikes
GameFags said:
Spikes shoot up in a line perpendicular to the direction wizard is facing. The spike wall is centered on the targeted location. If any unit goes into the spikes, friend or foe, a spike will impale the unit. Being impaled this way causes damage and knocks the unit down.
Mission 06:

2nsuhh.jpg

141sdo6.jpg
Stratos

New creature:

Flurry

a3d211.jpg

Type: Ranged
Passive Abilities: Vacuum shot sucks enemy units towards the point of impact.
Active Ability: None

GameFags said:
Flurry (4 Souls): The flurry is an artillery unit that throws giant snowflakes at enemies. When these snowflakes hit something, they create an imploding sphere that sucks in units and deals small splash damage (a direct hit causes better damage). Most units affected by the implosion will be pulled towards the center, in the air, and will be knocked down. Multiple flurries can keep an army from making much movement.
New spell:

Frozen Ground
GameFags said:
When cast, Frozen Ground fires a ball of snow at the target. The snowball creates a large circle of ice on the ground upon impact, freezing any units in that area (just like the freeze spell). Any units walking on the ice after the initial creation will not be frozen. However, after a little while the ice explodes damaging any units on it.
Mission 06:

erexon.jpg

2yyv5f9.jpg
Pyro

New creature:

Bombard

oum61j.jpg

Type: Ranged
Passive Abilities: Sets targets alight over a wide area, causing burn damage as long as they’re aflame.
Active Ability: None

GameFags said:
Bombard (4 Souls): Bombards hurl exploding fireballs, and do the most pure damage of any artillery unit. When the fireballs hit, they do damage to everything in the area over a small amount of time. Massive damage potential.
New spell:

Firewall
GameFags said:
Firewall: A wall of fire spreads perpendicular to the direction the wizard is facing, centered on the target. Any units going through the wall, friend or foe, catch on fire and take damage.
Mission 06:

erexon.jpg

11r8awm.jpg
Charnel

New creature:

Abomination

33yl4ep.jpg

Type: Ranged
Passive Abilities: Regenerates life when attacking. Thrown blood and intestine damages all enemies between itself and the assigned target. When its thrown intestines strike the final target, all enemy units in the surrounding area will take damage.
Active Ability: None

GameFags said:
Abomination (3 Souls): An undead mutant, these artillery throws bloody chunks of their rotting selves at enemies. These chunks leave a trail of blood when they are flying through the air and anything the blood lands on takes minor damage. The projectiles also explode on contact. Great damage potential.
New spell:

Wailing Wall
GameFags said:
A wall of wailing souls spreads perpendicular to the direction the wizard is facing, centered on the target. Any units going through the wall, friend or foe, get a huge amount (almost always all) of their mana drained. This wall lasts much longer than the other wall spells, which makes it very useful (unless against a human opponent who doesn't care about losing all his/her mana).
Mission 06:

Let's see what awaits us in next mission:

You expect me to throw out three updates that I prepared in the meantime just because you are late retarded?

Oh you're lucky you got the Boulderdash spekk

I would still call it a kind of artillery unit given its spreading triple shot thing

You should be able to win now though
