I had no chocie about that doomstack. Every time they mobilize, they spawn all at the same province. Meanwhile, to save money I had to make the mobilized forces no longer needed ASAP.

Proclamation Day
Men of Honor
Once again, despite all political reforms, malcontents rise against the legitimate rule. They cannot be allowed to destroy everything Rio Grande do Sul achieved!
The Republic gained some prestige from their participation in the World Fair in Kwa.
Probably because they failed to win legitimately, they tried to overthrow the government violently, but they will not win.
The Frenchies once again were wiped out, total victory getting closer than ever.
After the development of bolt-action rifles, improvement of government capabilities would proceed.
The treatment of the wounded in the war, already greatly bolstered by the still ongoing development of modern medicine, is becoming even better, ensuring less devastating and permanent casualties.
Slowly, order is being established over the territories which fell to the Jacobins.
Even as they continued fighting the good fight, the first bolt-action rifles began to be deployed.
And finally, the war justification was done by June of 1863. Now, they must crush Brazil sufficiently to convince them to give in.
The war was costly to the Republic, in more than one way. The economy was seriously harmed by the naval blockaded, and as the income went on red, the government had no choice but to cancel all subsidies to the existing factories. Major unemployment was a consequence, but at this point there was nothing that could be done. They were running out of funds. This war must end soon.
Despite all their victories, while the coffers of the State were about to run dry, the Frenchies and Brazilians continued to refuse their demands. So be it, even if they end with a nasty debt, they won't make any lesser compromise than to have the entirety of Southern Brazil!
Just what they needed as they began to have no choice but to get loans to carry on with the war. The Entre Rios rebellion claimed to stand for democracy, but they were a presidential dictatorship which made the whole deal particularly not what Rio Grande do Sul was expecting when the rebels first asked for their aid against the dictatorship.
Only in 1864, after several territorial conquests, the Republic achieved its objectives in one of the most important victories in its history, but now there was another war going on.
Meanwhile, on Europe...
For the disgust of the Russians and specially of the Serbians, it was decided to keep the worst turk idiot strong in spite of constant agitation against their subjugation of the peoples in the Balkans.
Severely indebted, and realizing Entre Rios was winning the war, they hoped they could sign a white peace before the increasing debts could lead to bankrupcy. Thus peace was signed to allow the country to recover from the devastating war they just went through.
More medical developments.
Some foreign corporations invested in the country, but slowly they started to boldly go on an entitlement of seizing lands from locals and demanding greater and greater privileges. NO MORE! The patriotic Republican Party denounced such corporations as new colonialists and justified their act based upon the abuses they thought they could commit just because they invested in the country. Thus, all foreign railroad companies were forcefully nationalized, which echoed in some Kwan baaaw, of course, but to hell with being a colonial bitch!
On the same time, a formal system of passports was established, which would hopefully make immigration to the country even more attractive.
In September, at last they managed to repaid their debts, which were burdening the country with their high interests. The economy was recovering, the industries rising again from the ruins. A lesson was learned: they may not win the war with a navy, but they can seriously hurt the country with their blockades. With the debts over, the emergency tariffs were abolished.
They never learn. Once the situation stabilizes, now that they have become something greater than just Rio Grande do Sul, it will be the time for a very important proclamation.
Reforms continue being approved whether or not the damn Jacobins will launch their suicidal rebellions.
The once terribly backwards freed states are slowly becoming more modern and industrialized.
Sociological development carries on, bolstering population growth while the consciousness of the people only increase with every achieved conquest and every advance.
In spite of being a democracy, the Republic is still deeply religious, and thus Clericalism becomes a dominant idea.
And once again, despite being far from authoritarian, the Republic gains the development of a Establishment rather than of a better form of political organization.
To move Brazil towards a better degree of development is the white gaucho's burden, to stand for the future, to look inwards rather than outwards to Africa and backwards civilization the Republic are better off not getting involved with, is their manifest destiny and their call. And a new idea is growing now, one that will change the continent forever.
Later, in contrast to the Establishment, more fitting political developments happened making the bureaucracy more fair, with government employees appointed through merit instead of nepotism and politics. A great achievement to modernize the country.
The structures of the State have been recently modernized, as no longer a single state, but many, Rio Grande do Sul deserves to be something more, while their mighty army continues to carry on as a state-of-art military, with the most advanced tactics and equipment. There won't be many more conflicts, for soon, this will all be over.
In March of 1866, it became something greater than Rio Grande do Sul. The Republic was self-proclaimed as the legitimate government of Brazil, and now made their goals quite clear: to unite the Brazilian people under the flag of liberty, equality and humanity rather than under a flag of slavery, despotism and backwardedness. Once Bolivia takes back their rightful territory, then there will be only one war left to be fought by the Brazilian Republic, and from it, only one Brazil shall remain, one where all men shall be free!
