Our Scientists work interrogating the Alien Officer we captured has finally been completed after days of setbacks due to not knowing the correct pronouns to use to talk to the xenos. Work has started on deciphering the nature of the statement the subject repeated - "Check your priviledge, shitlords."
I take it back about what I said about Cruisers a few updates ago. These carriers are true beasts.
The Marauder's combat performance is stellar.
We set down in Germany, some of our team wielding brand spanking new Plasma weaponry.
Micoselva makes first contact with a Plasma Cannon wielding Sebillian. She decides to make a tactical withdrawal.
A Harridan makes the unfortunate decision to not take cover when it saw our Shrike approaching. Ulminati and his Precision Plasma make sure it'll never make the same mistake again
There's at least two lizards in and around this barn. We've tug in behind cover to the South and are working our way West around the hedgerow.
A few? There was four before Comte murdered one. It's at this moment I really wish we'd brought a rocket along to destroy their sticky cover.
Fire from all angles and some shotgun finishing make short work of this group.
Rather than expose ourselves to that gun, we lob a Plasma Grenade over the hedge.
This... may have been a horrible mistake. The grenade destroys the hedge, giving Micoselva a clean reaction shot, but also giving the Alien a clear line of fire.
A hay bale comes to The Scorpion's rescue
A Plasma Satchel blows open the gates, but the hold of the Carrier is eerily quiet.
First contact is with a lone Harridan in what looks like the Anti-Grav core of the ship.
Comte kills it with a close burst and we advance onwards.
We try to create a perimeter around the teleporters, but the alien marksman spots and then hits Ashery through the doorway, gravely wounding him.
A Sebillian Warrior bursts down to the ground floor and completely whiffs his shot
An Officer and another Warrior come down after we've cleaned up and The Scorpion is caught in the centre of a Alien Grenade blast.
Reaction fire from our Heavy Gunner ensures this Sebillian will never enjoy basking in our sun again.
In the open, the Officer stands no chance against our firepower and we advance, taking up defensive positions on the 3rd floor.
We keep moving forward until a non-combatant decides to try the classical "run between two hostiles so they shoot each other" tactic.
What the fuck, Mico!?
...I think she just made lasers travel in an arc. Physics is clearly her bitch.
The other Sebillian on this level is cleared, but now we're really struggling for ammunition.
The lizards in that funky body armour prove to be tougher than old boots.
In the end we're forced to cause some collateral in order to take them out safely.
Sebillian.Medium was a mere setback
Everything continues as planned. We can't stop all the UFOs. but as another Marauder is completed our aerial fleet is able to take down anything. Nothing good lasts forever though...
We have a downed Carrier in Greece that I badly want to raid, and the $70,000 I'd get from airstriking it is not good enough. Double mission is tempting
