that card looks like shit for draft unless i'm missing something lol I'd pass that for a dual land
I'm liking this set a lot for draft but unfortunately I tried to draft a grull deck and boros deck and ended up going 1-2 with both maybe some of it was bad luck (i had to mull to 4 a few times :///) but I think I just don't understand how to draft decks with red, I always suck if I try to go red in any format. Sooo I'll just try to force blue decks from now on since I always do well with that color.
So far with most of the pods I've been in it seems people are taking black cards A LOT so it's hard to get into that color with any consistency but the good blue and green cards seem to get passed often. That uncommon UG enchantment that gives +1/+1 counter or draws a card each turn is insanely good but people just aren't taking it, so I've been able to get like 2 or 3 of those consistently in every draft.
I got excited when I saw that because I thought it might work with Tamiyo, Collector of Tales to prevent the discard part. But it wont work because of the opponent's part :/ Probably some other sweet combo though.
I'm trying real damn hard to build a standard deck around this and the godzilla cycle cards but I'm having trouble staying alive to cast this since standard's so fast

PSA (i.e. Piece-of-shit-advice), they seem to have updated the daily deals to be more interesting. You can get 500 gems for 2k shekels, and there was a discounted booster pack yesterday.
Finally had some free time and I did premier draft for the entire yesterday afternoon. It was quite fun and the reward structure feels pretty good. Converted my 30k shekels into 30 packs and 3k gems and Gold 3 rating.
Probably could do better, but ended up going 2:3 on the first few runs until I figured out what's what. Despite the waiting when one cunt hoards all the packs and goes for a tactical wank, it feels quite good, faced much fewer silly overpowered decks
than in typical bot draft.
I quite like all the little synergies that emerge, I think they really gotten the hang of making decent sets for limited. For example, the artifact trap removal which sacs itself, in previous sets it was a necessary evil you sometimes draft, now it's actually fun to use
with flash. And having flash, it even boosts other things which would otherwise be unspectacular, like Mutual Destruction.
Did a few runs drafting the Humen tribal because it seems it's almost always open as guys beeline for the oh so shiny mutations (one run I nabbed four fucking Dire Tactics, including few that got wheeled to me).
Managed to get commisar kudro + general's enforcer combo once and it was bonkers. Definitely my best runs, though I never did better than 6 wins. Once I gotten the hand of the set, I was already pushing gold and the
supply of freebie token drafters seems to have run out. I did face platinum and mythic rank drafters along the way.
Most fun card in the set is Sea-Dasher octopus, made me update my UG flash just to use it effectively.

Gyruda decks are becoming the new mono red in ranked (and it pisses me to no end they are suspending historic ranked again like this), flash seems to have a decent matchup here, people are trying it in UB, but UG still feels like the apex predator in this environment.
Obviously, you will still probably lose to the bad case of mono red going first unless you ramp into a turn three Nightpack, but I only saw one or two of those.

With cunning nightbondage, you mean. The problem is in finding a flying body to mutate into, because that thing is worthless without evasion.
UG has Geese and Pirates to accommodate. I'm in the process of testing it, but bondage can work decently enough in UG with no problems, lets you ramp into a turn three Ambusher which is too much for a good bunch of decks to handle.
I thought double blue might be a problem, but goose makes it doable.

Yeah, it's most optimal with a dual, which is why I needed to up the count on tapduals to five so that I can reluably get UU on turn two (which means I can also bring Essence Captures, a goose with a +1/+1 counter won me a few games, but I like the art on new scatter better).
Ambusher is doable if you go forest, goose island, forest, paying for bondage with goose along the way, this kinda defeats the purpose of ramping with goose, but is nice tempo.
