You don't need the zombie shell for it, you make your own zombies embalming your own shit that was killed or the other guy's stuff.
Last time I played with the guy was in closed beta (and the cunt was fucking everywhere, it was pretty obnoxious), used tobe a different environment. We have plenty of cheap graveyard eating effects and exile removal in the cardpool,
so a big part of the guy's appeal is gone.

Wonder what they'll ban. If it's FotD then I'll be sad since I've already gotten wildcards from past FotD bannings so I won't get more. If it's big dick gobbo then... Maybe I should craft a playset of big dick gobbo in case they make it and instant ban like last time. Odds are though it'll be FotD since that's what most people are bitching about currently. And odds are it'll be FotD itself and not the Amonkhet card that kicked it into overdrive, since there'll be a smaller wildcard payout on banning FotD again even though it's the Amonkhet card that's been really jacking it up.

Nonsense, there's nothing unreasonable about a 3 mana card that ramps and replaces itself and heals you and can potentially do it again later in the game while also providing a beatstick. It's Growth Spiral you really gotta watch out for.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
I don't think Big Dick Goblin is gonna get hit because WOTC hates bannic mythics or rares, especially newly printed ones. That said they seem to have less qualms about the historic format.
I think they are gonna hit at least a single Goblin piece tho. Although I hope they do not, its a very fun deck with clearly defined weaknesses and strengths. Perhaps Warchief?

FOTD probably because it can go without Wildcard refunds.

I don't know about the cards banned so far but I'd be shocked if they did ban cards that had special animations associated with them.

banning uro wont give you wildcards since its only historic ban :happytrollboy:
Technically banning Uro in historic would give wildcards. They pay out wildcards ONCE to everyone who has the card each time it's banned, so stuff they keep banning and unbanning (Like FotD and Nexus) only pays out once for each player even when they waffle on it. But raccoon chick was only banned in historic and WotC paid up wildcards for her even though she's still standard legal. Where they can get shitty about it is if they "Suspend" a card. Then they're basically just banning and not giving wildcards 'cause fuck you.

Quite disappointed that we're back to eldraine quick draft. I was away since November and this is what I get when I get back. Back into the same mill shaped hell.

I still got to play 2 theros quick drafts and seemed like a fun format, and I love the Greek aesthetics.

they didn't fix the bots to kill mill in eld? well whatever I didn't like eld either way, fairy tale flavor just ain't my thing. theros was pretty good but I felt like I got matched against people with either dream trawler or archon of sun's grace way too much, those should have been mythics

my fav 3 draft formats so far are: RNA=WAR>>>Ikoria
then probably ixalan in distant 4th but that's only because I like dinosaurs
Ikoria would probably be tied with the other two if zenith flare and snare tactician didn't exist, was so close to being amazing

I can't stop playing mill in 2021 standard. Not even the strongest deck by any stretch of the imagination, especially in BO1 since I can't sideboard against shit (Opponent playing a single Underworld Dreams is GG for example. Or if my opponent's playing Boros cycling since they can just ding me for 20+ damage after I mill a bit) but I fucking love mill and Teferi's Tutelage is great, and playing Izzet for some removal to cover my ass while I mill is fairly workable right now. Especially nice because countermagic is pretty rare right now so I can play Thrill and Bestiality with little worry of my opponent countering them and 2 for 1 or 3 for 1ing me. The one thing that sucks with playing it in future-standard rather than the present is losing shocklands and Flame Sweep, but my opponents tend to take a bigger loss in power than I do in that situation so it's largely a net positive, and Fire Prophecy is a decent enough replacement. Not a cheap instant speed sweeper, but an instant speed bolt for 2 mana and I can cycle a card is nice. Especially since that's another trigger on Tutelage or Ageless Insight so it even slots in decently with the rest of the deck. Historic's fun but I gotta play mill when and where it's at least playable.

this article prompted me to check if i might own any cards over 30 usd... turns out I should have quite a few(based on my memory and very vague recollection of where those might be stored). Im thinking about cashing it in although I am a bit disheartened by the effort required to find my stuff, cross reference market and actually finding a buyer.
This article reminded me that I once sold 4 gaeas cradles for 25€ each. Seemed easy money.

And what craziness drove earthcraft price to almost 100$? A common from tempest? Also yawgmoths will at 160€?

There was a kid at my school that said he was going to hold on to his mirage and tempest cards because one day they would be worth as much as a black lotus (which was worth 300€ for the unlimited version back then). We made fun of him.

IMO, nobody should have to pay or expect to be paid this much for cardboard.
This is why I came back to MtG with arena. Shit is worth exactly this - one wildcard of appropriate rarity. This is the only fair approach.

In other news, Field of the Dead officially got the historic banana. I did the dailies earlier today so can't be bother to check, but there weren't any wildcards last time I did.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I might play historic once in a blue moon, but I get so many rare and mythic wild cards, and so much gold, that I buy packs of historic cards and some of the more OP cards just to own them for when I do play.

The past 3 "seasons" I've noticed a lot of historic cards get allowed again only to be rebanned, and every time you buy a card that has been banned during that season, you get another free wild card (mythic or gold)

So, if ur looking to farm the OP historic cards, and you know something is OP for that season / set rotation,

I'd suggest buying up as many of those cards as you can, because you'll likely recoup some of them before the season / set rotates, assuming you already have the decks you want for the season built.

since they didnt ban uro or muxus in historic im eyeing mono black standard again and thinking about rotation.

True, it is quite bad from aggro perspective. gutterbones, ebony knight, dinosaur, mayhem devil... If you look at critters up to 3 mana there is basically just one left: paragon of the blackest lance.
I dont see how hunted nightmare and mardu outrider could fill that void.

I think you're expected to go either devotion or midrange disruption with mono black post-rotation. Open with durex, follow up with Kitesail. The current one drops are bad and two drops are otherwise barely serviceable.
You may need to put up Heraldic Banners to keep the aggro up (and maybe reconsider the Obosh aggro plan with Whisper Squad).

I love the raw stats on the expired dino, but it really sucks when you're hit with brazen borrower in response to the discard trigger. Ran into this play a few times too many and I've found that Hunted Nightmare is actually a decent replacement.
Still beats down well with Demonic Possession (which will be the workhorse in this deck).

Biggest loss imo is Lazotep Reaver and Priest of Forgotten Gods. Unless we get a few more decent sac fodder and sac outlets other than Ayayayara, Lurrus with Archfiend Vessel and serrated scorpion plan will be missing pieces.
Will have to wait and see what Zendikar brings in this regard, another important thing is what's the next cycle of rare lands, adding red could fix some of the above issues, but you won't be doing much two-color aggro with tapduals.

The past 3 "seasons" I've noticed a lot of historic cards get allowed again only to be rebanned, and every time you buy a card that has been banned during that season, you get another free wild card (mythic or gold)

So, if ur looking to farm the OP historic cards, and you know something is OP for that season / set rotation,
That's the reason for the whole "suspension" thing. Once shit is banned, it's supposed to stay banned, while suspension let's them stay flexible and see how the situation develops.
Their policy is to give wildcards when shit actually gets banned in historic, so yeah there's no reason not to craft the top decks/cards.
Worst case scenario, you get to keep a bonkers deck you can finish ranking up with, or bring it to an event and gamble for a bit of extra geld every now and then when the stars are right.

Still, even getting 4 wildcards back is basically nothing in the grand scheme of things. If you want to build your collection, git gut at drafting.

Well, if you want to play aggro, you need at least a theoretical possibility of turn 4 lethal.
Turn three and four will most often be devoted to demon humping, nightmare and Rankle, this lets you top off with 8 damage, meaning the rest will have to come from the 1-2 turn drops
(and we can't really depend on the opponent shocking themselves with lands to help).
Black lance-a-long can do six damage in that time, which means mono black is really missing a turn one 2 power drop to make this happen.

Theoretically, Anemia can up this math a tiny bit if it manages to make a token immediately as it comes into play as well as on the following turn.
Can be done with turn 1 Dead Weight, but that's not really part of the aggro game plan.
