Watch out for Miranda's ass. These are the same developers that gave Morrigan that breast reduction surgery in Inquisition.
There were also a ton of close up shots of Miranda's ass in ME2. I bet they were all removed as well.
Let's wait and see, happy to crucify them on it if they remove all the eye candy to make it more palatable for special snowflakes, but until I see the evidence I'm not gonna assume anything

The art direction looks pretty iffy so far though

That ME1 remaster though. ME1 has always been the biggest thing preventing me from playing the trilogy all over again.

ME1 is by far the best of the 3 you noob.

Sorry, but the gameplay is shit.

Yes, it has the best RPG elements and is overall more deep than the next 2. But the gameplay doesn't hold up, and at the end of the day, that's what matters to me the most.

The gameplay's perfectly fine in 1 and it most definitely holds up even today. Recently replayed the entire series and there's nothing wrong with Mass Effect 1's gameplay. 2 and 3 compared to 1 are just mindless Gears of War/Call of Duty trash for braindead retard zoomers.

Well, to each their own.

The beauty of ME1 was the dialogue and choices, which there was more of than the sequels. But the combat is just awful imo.

And before anyone says "hurr it's an RPG not a shooter". Yes but you're doing shooting the majority of the time. So it should at least be good. And don't get me started on the horrible Mako levels.

If they had made the game KOTOR style I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more.

No it really doesn't. The shooting is very clumsy, made worse by the overheat system.

ME1's combat is terrible, to the point that certain builds don't even really work. Vanguards, for example, are useless on higher-difficulties in ME1. Combat is clunky and unresponsive, so using charge at all in ME1 is basically just a death sentence. However, due to the reworked combat, Vanguard is the most fun class to play in ME2 and 3, if somewhat OP.

There is no biotic charge in ME1.

So for the last 7 years you all said ME series was 'worst shit ever', yet now are suddenly up in arms at EA making the series shittier and complaining about the price(suggesting it's too much for you to buy)?

miranda is already ugly as fuck and people who thought otherwise are either black or gay
I rewatched dexter recently and Yvonne strahovski is hot as fuck in it. How those fuckers at BioWare managed to make her look ugly is an achievement
If your thirst is true check out Chuck. Great cast all round with Adam Baldwin as a chad ultra right wing commando and Strahovski as a super hot spy. They also loved making her look sexy. Compare it to modern day cuckery and it's night and day.

Your ignore list.
Aren't the difficulties just stat bloat in these games?
They are. Still, the bloat occurs using shields/armor/biotic barriers on different types of enemies, requiring you to combine squad powers to strip these defenses before dealing damage to enemies. Popamole, yes, but leagues better than what usually occurs in most games that simply inflate enemy health, damage, while decreasing your damage output, e.g., anything Bethesda.

Yes. I've always thought ME's "Insanity" difficulties were well done because while they increase shields/armor, they also give you the tools to deal with them. Playing on insane means that you have to pay attention to ammo types and damage types and ensure you have teammates with the right skills to deal with different enemy types, whereas if you play on normal you can pretty much just ignore the game's damage type system and steamroll everything.

I don't know, man. The response to this has been way more positive so far than I expected from Codex.

"It's overpriced and looks shit" doesn't seem like a positive response to me, but I might just be old-fashioned.

Goes into some of the graphical changes more:

That video is really telling. Whenever there's some feature talked about which would definitely improve the originals and that a 2021 remaster warrants, we're told it would "take too much effort" and therefore had to be scrapped. Whatever doubt remained that this was nothing more than a minimum effort cash grab has been dispelled.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Strap Yourselves In Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Meanwhile, over on reddit:
Choice comments:

Hopefully they give the entire game this treatment. The evil sky and cheesy lightning of the first level was over-the-top stupid and completely inconsistent with the rest of the game, let alone the trilogy. Glad Bioware demonstrated some self awareness with this one.
It looks amazing. Man reddits ME community will complain about anything. It's a 14 year old game. The atmosphere is going to be a ton more immersive.
Can we stop commenting on "atmosphere" from a still frame of a game we won't play for 5 months? The atmosphere of Reaper attacks comes from a lot more than the color of the sky.
