Hey jackass, you say it works and someone else said it didn't. That's one vote on each side, which usually means fuck all. Thanks for the pic though.
You know what? Fuck you. It doesn't work but somehow i managed to make a 1680x1050 screenshot. That's some fine trolling right there. And Infinitron either can't computer, or PCs work differently in Israel.

By the way, i have a MMX Deluxe key (with MM6) to give away. Uplay only, unfortunaltely. The above poster isn't eligible though, because he chose to be an ass while i wanted to help.

Looks like I'm in a minority not being overly enthusiastic about this. I admit having only played a couple of hours, maybe my opinion will change, but so far the only redeeming quality seems to be the old-school look and feel, but ... the combat is repetitive and lacking any depth, you have to find the right combination of actions with the available skills and spells and repeat them to death (at least in other similar games you could disengage or retreat, here it is a stupid lock in combat until one side is dead - I hated this in TOEE as well but even there you have a small chance to flee if you are far from the enemy), graphics are not bad but I don't find them very attractive either, that is a matter of personal taste anyway. Some action graphics looks outright ugly, like the white markers for entering buildings. The inventory is ok, but a step back from MM6-8 paperdolls, looks more like MM9 style. Going full 3D for an old-school game looks weird to me, I still prefer the pre-rendered animations of inns/shops from older MMs. I can't speak much about the character development and skill system since I have barely scratched the surface, but it seems to be lacking in some areas. Is there any skill for disarm traps or alchemy? Or they are not available from start?

It could also come down to driver differences, or driver setting differences. :M

All I know is that when I edit the config file to 1920x1200, I get 1920x1080 ingame and the options menu shows 1280x1024.

I've seen reports from other people that the same thing happens to them.

What a great fun this game is, jeesh. I can't really remember the last time I had this much fun with a game; it's been ages.

:bro: for Limbic.

They got the pacing right, nearly as good as MM3, this game is tight.
Thank you Jullen Pirou and the Limbic Folks!

Quick question. [SLIGHT SPOILERS]

I just finished the Lighthouse and the lizard guy out front has a quest called (I think) "Naga Tea." He gives me some tea but the quest isn't in my journal, either as a current quest or as a completed quest. Bug?

Feel free to use spoiler tags if you feel that you're posting spoilers.

Need some help folks.

In the bandit hideout, where you find Luke, there are two secret passages on level 1. The first one I opened and pulled the lever to get to the chest. But the second one, which has the image of two gears on the walls I cannot open. I think I need to find another shinari stone fragment...but not sure. Any way to open it? I've killed Luke

By the way, for a great viewing experience use the spell dark vision (or dark sight??) from the dark college. It gives a very flavorful view, especially in dungeons. :D

Hey, I have a few questions about Uplay-

1. Is there a way to disable it after first-time activation of the game with it?

2. If there is, can I play through the game without the "this chest requires Uplay" or "Uplay points-exclusive dungeon" bullcrap?

Maybe with a cracked version from The Bay of Pirates.

Those things are all activated from outside the game (the chest is actually no longer in the game - its functionality has been moved to the game's main menu) so they're not intrusive. I don't see why you wouldn't activate the dungeon, though. It's just free DLC, basically.

I am also a bit surprised at how much the codex is gushing over this game. Combat is fun but way too simplified. The game also lacks noncombat exploration skills. This lack of depth means that while the game is fun, I can see myself getting bored with the repetitiveness very soon.

I've missed this one:

While running the game on a 32-bit OS, here are the limits:
  • Texture Quality is limited to MEDIUM
  • Party Barks, Monster and ambient sounds are not available
  • Voice over is not available

Does this still apply after the patch? If yes, then it's ridiculous. There is absolutely no excuse for a limitation like that, other than the developers being incompetent. This is simply fucked up. I would understand the limitations if I get uberawesome visuals, but not with this mediocre setup.

My party is a crusader, ranger, defender, and freemage. My Crusader so far has been pretty invaluable, especially with Celestial Armor. He is tough and does a decent amount of damage.

My one complaint about the game so far is that there seems to be no good ways of managing the battlefield. All I have is my Dwarf's taunt ability, and that misses half the time. So my mage is out front taking hits she should not be taking, and that is frustrating.

Also, the further I get, the more useless ranged weapons seem to be.

Might and Magic combat was always relatively simple.

Thanks Infi. Kind of a shame, I remember they said it would be a one-time-activation deal.

Oh well..

It is a one-time activation deal, but the game still tries to run and log on to Uplay whenever you run it. If it fails, you can still play, but it tries.

Andhaira, I can't open it either. It's just an attribute check so try coming back later after you've leveled up a bit.
