I've sustained a thumb injury early November, severely limiting when and what I could play, so I mostly fell onto point & clicks. Played most of Amanita (Samorost trilogy, Machinarium, Pilgrims, Creaks), Gibbous, Tex Murphy 3, but also Geneforge: Mutagen and Felvidek.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
I've sustained a brain injury early November, severely limiting when and what I could play, so I mostly fell onto weeb garbage. Played most of Atlus (Persona series, SMT series, Etrian Odyssey), Romancing SaGa 2, Monster Hunter Stories, but also Atelier Ryza 3 and Fate/Samurai Remnant.

Warcraft III - It was more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I'm partial to RTS games, but WC3's 'easy to pick up, hard to master' gameplay immediately engrossed me, I now know why this game had such a huge competitive scene. I think the Orcs' campaign was my favorite, despite it feeling more like a bonus campaign than a continuation of the Undead one. I also got into the 'simulation' aspect of developing your base way more than I should've

The version I played was Reign of Chaos, and not the Reforged or Frozen Throne expansion, but honestly, I didn't mind that all too much, because the base game is so feature-rich and packed to the brim with content that I didn't care for the DLC, especially with the CPU Multiplayer, or the World Editor.

Dark Souls 3 (finished) and Shadows over Silesia (mostly done).

Shadows over Silesia is more of an adventure than an RPG: there is no character progression, little by way of inventory, and C&C (so far) has been minimal. The graphics are cartoony, the combat is basic (the camera is the toughest enemy), and the voice acting is OK at best. Gameplay features straight combat, some stealth, some basic puzzles, and dialogue.

That being said, I give it an enthusiastic recommendation for people interested in dark fantasy. The story is grounded in real history with believable characters; it'd be historical fiction except for the fact that the main plot revolves around the occult. There isn't anything excessively graphic, but you've got demons fornicating with humans, human sacrifice, corrupted religious, and the unquestioned reality of the devil existing. I have a hard time imagining this plot being the central focus of a AAA game. As I've gotten drawn into the story and gotten used to the controls, my enjoyment factor has improved immensely.

Some of you will take this as a "stay away!" review, which is fine, but if this seems like your cup of tea I encourage you to try it out. It is pretty short (I think I'll wrap in about 15 hours total) and $20 on Steam (on sale for $7 as of now).

Dark Souls 3 (finished) [...]
What was your build?

I went with a Pyro build. I invested a weapon with the raw attribute so I could handle standard enemies without draining my mana pool, and I mostly buffed intelligence, faith, and whatever stat it is that gives you a deeper mana pool for casting.

The last boss gave me quite a bit of trouble because I was squishy enough that 1 hit either killed me or brought me down to like 20% health. By the time I beat it I had the move set memorized and knew precisely when I had enough time to throw a dark orb spell before I was at risk of getting pummeled. It was very satisfying to finally get through it!

Warband Viking Conquest (my unending modding of this game will be with me forever)

New Vegas
KCD
Expeditions Viking
Tom Clancy Wildlands
Kenshi
Archaelund
Project Zomboid
Rome 2
Ancestors Legacy

Didn't beat anything, but its what I picked up for an hour or 2 here and there. Most gaming time was spent between Zomboid and Viking Conquest, about 5 or 6 hours a week.

Bioshock 1 - It's still a masterpiece after all of these years. System Shock 2 is still the best shock game though.
DQ3
Romancing SaGa 2 remake - I'm surprised they did a 3D remake. Fantastic game.

Tried out a bunch of metroidvanias (some of them are more like 2d souls likes), none of them could hold me for more that 5 hours though.

Voidwrought
Afterimage
Grime
Ender Lilies
HAAK
Blasphemous
Nine Sols
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate

I wonder if there's really anything wrong with them or I'm just tired of videogames in general.

Resident Evil 2. Claire A and Leon B. Wrote my thoughts in the RE2 remake thread. Better than the remake. But not great. Genre had more potential. Too bad.

Some of the more vivid memories I had as a 12 year old come from that final mission from the night elf campaign where you're supposed to turtle up and hold the undead horde.

As a kid, I found Metzen's poetry quite attractive.

The Lich King's tale as presented in WarCraft 3 was schlock, but well-presented. I found the idea of Arthas, Frostmourne in hand, shambling into the darkness of the ice-caked Northrend landscape an arresting one.
