Well the good thing about not being good at D&D games with this is they left console commands in the game. Word of warning though if you use the give xp one and add too much (from my experiences anything at or over max level) then your companions will only melee attack. Which is especially bad in MoTC because 3 of your companions are spell users.

If it's possible to up-scale the UI, perhaps this is something I'm willing to do.

Thanks, but "You'll need some NWN1-sized portraits to go with it" - Pass.

Playing a Weapon Master was less tedious. Really bad starter dungeon but the game feels a lot better now a couple of hours in.

"Being good/bad at D&D games" is not a factor in that playing a wizard is a pain in the ass in MOTB.

As someone who played NWN1 way back and quite enjoyed it, but for some reason never found the time to play NWN2, is this bundle worth the $$ and the time to d\l on a crappy internet connection?
Not really. But it has great Character creation + MoTB + Best implementation of DnD skill sin SOZ.

Thanks for that somewhat ambivalent reply :)
However I think I will take a chance on it, anyway it will give me something to play while waiting for Cleve's magnum opus & PE.

Thanks. The UI isn't as headache-inducing anymore.

I'm in Act II now and I'm liking it, but:
* high level D&D really sucks a cock
* encounter design is shit. too many "poof surrounded by ghosts/spirits out of nowhere" fights happening when characters are out of position.

High level D&D does suck cock.

The story as presented in MotB is however the only decent part of this game.

Overpriced, but doesn't matter. If only MoB was done for levels 10-20 instead of 20-30...

Nice! It's a bit overpriced in my opinion - but considering it's no longer available on Steam, I guess it's not too bad.

Although i like GOG.com, charging $15 is a ripoff! Especially since gamespot is selling it for $11.24, which also includes Planescape, BG series, Icewind Dale series and NWN OG!

What's the DRM?

Eh, I don't see
eating a god
suitable for pre-epic play.

True, but I'd love to see same quality story in less insane environment. Not necessary the same story. And, anyway, what level TNO was most of the game?

When does this happen? As I recall, the forest with its trolls and treants was the only place where it still suffered from Obsidian's amateur inability to properly use triggers and spawn points.

The Spirit Furnace has at least one horde of shadows which can spawn in and rush your party from all around at the end of a dialogue, I think.

Oh right. That would be by design, since well, they're spirits. Ah well. Didn't bother me since I always had everyone clustered together. :M

the death god crypt place and a few times in the first dungeon.
but I only just started Act II (returned to death god's crypt place) so I haven't really done much else.

http://www.impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-IMP-W3220

D&D Ultimate Pack - BG1 and 2, ToEE, Planescape, Icewind Dale, NWN1 complete and NWN2 complete - for £7. Insane deal. You need the "Gamestop App", whatever that is, don't really care to look into it since I own everything in the pack already. Just a heads up for my good friends!!!! :D:D
