Both are focused on newb users who don't know how to mod and give them relatively heavily modded game.

I did with Fear&Loathing, but I never use *all* the mods they recommended, and instead plucked most that my rig can handle and substitute some with what I trusted more, but only lore-friendly ones and tried keeping the content vanilla, so no extra companions and quest mods.

Sadly, I've never finished any of the playthroughs because of different circumstances and my rig is dying :negative:

also neither use cirosans classic overhaul, but both use the project nevada crap lol.
Do you know how to utilize CCO with other gameplay overhauls like JSawyer and such? I've been eyeing CCO for a while, but I remembered it being difficult to make compatible with other gameplay overhauls, but can't remember exactly which one, probably Project Nevada.

Also, do you know any alternative to PN that will give you sprint feature and make gunplay plays better? Maybe I should just man up, and try to play without needing bullet time (been dependent on that specific feature because I can't handle New Vegas's shitty gunplay mechanic).

I use this combination:

B42 Weapon Inertia: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64335

Real Recoil: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62153

Stimpak Hotkey: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64043

Sprint Mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34943

VATS Alternative (Bullet Time): https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62278

Grenade Hotkey: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38808

As far as I can tell, I'm getting all the good parts of Project Nevada without dealing with all the useless crap.

Thanks, all these should be compatible between itself, right? Any problem with other gameplay mods?

Also, I'll probably skip bullet time and try to minimize VATS usage in the future. Currently playing STALKER:SoC and I can say I'm being purified with proper gunplay mechanics the more I play it.

No compatibility problems. You might have to rebind some hotkeys though. The Stimpak one defaults to Q, which is normally auto-move, so I simply rebound auto-move to Y.

Is there a mod that makes enemies actually react to fire-based weapons like Flamer etc.?

I know there was one for F4 where they'd drop their weapons and start running around, but in NV they still don't give two shits while on fire.

I remember some guy in this thread (or maybe in another?) said something to the effect of how Project Nevada is kinda old and unapdated now and mentioned/linked other similar mod, but probably with less autistic overhauls though with more recent modifications. It was probably one of those compilations mods and I think it included some kind of new animations too, but not any huge changes or retexturing/graphics shit. Any idea? I browsed some 15 pages back, but can't find it.

I don't know anything about Project Nevada being old and unupdated, but indeed it adds an absurd amount of absurd changes into the game. Alternatives to Project Nevada's feature is right here in this very page, as shared by Butter:

As for animation mod, the one you might be looking for is Solid Project. Be mindful that it's obviously going to be real buggy, especially since it's a mod that's only over a year old, though it seems it was updated regularly as can be seen from it being last updated at December 18.

It has retarded features like "Visual Objectives + New Dishonored 2 Objective Markers" which adds a floating marker above objectives, but thankfully can be disabled from MCM.

Not sure it's that one. I think some new animations was just a part not crux of it, but thanks anyway.
Btw, what do you think is worst parts of PN? From what is visible in the in game option screens probably doesn't show everything that's under its hood and i never really read all of its log files and such. Have a started game with it and it doesn't seem too bad.
