Are there Gas Giants? You will always able to walk around a planet. There are ones that aesthetically look gaseous. They are actually what toxic planets kind of are. But there's no point in a planet that you can't land your ship on. And we felt it would be frustrating for the players to see this planet because you and I would know what gaseous planets are but then everyone else might not. And they would be like, "Oh, I get out and fall?" It's just a weird concept for people, but I still wanted to have something there.

Yeah, I read that the first time. It still repeats that you can't do anything. In one interview he talks about how you can't actually destroy a Space Station because, gosh, that would just be wrong or some bullshit despite there apparently being a Station in every System and that therefore there are untold billions of the damn things.

Then he says how you'll never meet another player! Because, like, gosh apparently you can't actually choose which planet to travel too.. Because if you could, you could easily meet in space above it. "I'm above Dicktopia, between the Sun and the Planet, 3 Clicks up". "Oh right, I see you there..."

See, not hard. But no, you'll never see another person because like, gosh space is big or something.

Minecraft is endless. People meet each other in that all the time using the co-ordinate system. This shit ain't hard. And if it is, it means they apparently don't even have a functional navigational system.

There's the player's journey which, if they play it linearly and go from the outer edge of the galaxy to the centre of the galaxy, that's their start and end of the game kind of thing.

How do you upgrade your ship? How do you upgrade your weapon? This is what people mean when they ask "What can you do?" I mean what, you only have one weapon and you just forever +1 it's damage rating? You finish the game with the same ship you started in but by then you've +1'd the Shields a few times?

If the game is like Minecraft, all he needs to say is "You are free to build and destroy anything in the game". But he doesn't say that. And they haven't shown that. All we've seen is SPACE DINOSAURS.

If someone asks you "What can you do in this game?" and you can do a lot of things, then you fucking tell them a list of fucking things they can do. "You can explore and name planets", "You can destroy enemy ships", "You can trade". Instead he goes off on these esoterical rants about "open ended" and "not head shooting things".

No, you fucking dumbass. They mean "What do you fucking do in this game?". What are the physical things that I can do in this game that you are making. Can I level up my character? How do I level up? Can I mine shit? How do I mine shit? That's what they mean.

Instead he goes on to rabbit out bullshit like, "And I think people are interested because it's a little bit different, and they don't want us just to have 'Three of six headshots achieved!' That's not really why people play games anyway when it comes down to it.".

Even here, they've earlier talked about it being a "single-player experience" or some bullshit when clearly it's an MMO. If this is even possible, then it means an always on internet connection and always being connected to the game server. That's what an MMO is. And yet they don't want to then say "You can attack and destroy these people" or form alliances with them or anything because apparently, finding people is hard, gosh.

As Sean scans the environment, cubes of collectible materials are outlined against the terrain. He then fires projectiles towards them, destroying great chunks of the scenery with a shimmery sci-fi sound effect.

"You can see the terrain is destructible, which is something we haven't shown people before..."

Again, I'm pretty sure earlier they explicitly said you can't build your own shit. So there's no way in hell it becomes the Minecraft in space game if that's the case. Especially with things like:

There’s an infinite diversity of spaceships you can obtain in the game, but you can’t build them yourself and can only buy the ones docked at space stations.​

You can't build shit, you can only buy their randomly - sorry procedurally - generated ones. So resources = cash = buy ship as opposed to building a ship out of them.

That right there is more informative then "I'm so flustered. Gosh, couldn't want to show you anything, your poor tiny mind might not handle it. Like the lack of Gas Giants..."

The game’s still in development, however, and numerous questions remain to be answered. There are buildings visible on some planets, but how much can the player build? And, on the other side of the same coin, how much will you be able to destroy?​

Pretty basic questions where if they even had a clue, they should be able to say "Yes, you can do this thing" or "No, you cannot do this thing". The fact they don't even seem to have a clue is just a fat ass warning sign.

So far, space is big but you're not going to find or even see anyone else which means you won't find any shit other people have built... Because you can't. Everyone just mines resources to sell so they can increment the damage variable on their Laser.

Try landing on gas planet in space engine..... there were many times when i thought it was land down there looking from space, but it was actualy gas clouds and water beneath.
