The thing about using nothing but procedurally generated content is that it's as shallow as a petri dish when it comes to complexity or anything remotely interesting. You can't procedurally generate a world history, for example, so we know that any planet capable of harboring life will just be a procedurally generated zoo. I know that's the only practical way they can make a game so big, but then it begs the question of why does it have to be that big if it's just going to be devoid of anything of interest? Why not limit it to 300 planets and spend time making each one unique and content dense?
I mean, that's great that you're building a 24" dick, but there's really not a whole hell of a lot you can do with it when you really think about it.
