Not going to watch the video to see the wording, but does the way Sawyer mentions the 5 person team leave room for the possibility the 5 person team is only for the prototyping stage?

Apparently not. Guess he needs more than 5 devs for that he couldn't get, otherwise I don't get the logic about doing another small game but not his dream game at this point.

So, how many Obsidian developers does it take to suck Josh Sawyer's dick?

Wiki says that it took $3M to make Darklands in early 90s, an inflation calculator doubles it for today, also games became more complex to make so maybe around $10M today which was Deadfire's budget(?) which had 40 to 50+ devs throughout its development and flopped so Obs/MS doesn't trust Sawya with that amount again maybe? :P

Yeah Upper Management decided on full VO very late in development. But Darklands seems to consist of mostly procedural content which wouldn't be suited for full VO but at the same time Obs haven't dabbled with procedural content much... What does Sawya think about procedural content Roguey? I think its shit btw :P

What does Sawyer like?

According to the interview, rare academic German only history books that are archaically written ( cuz it's in fucking German ), that he can barely read ( cuz it's in fucking German ), for a single chapter that might add to his understanding of the daily lives of 15th century Benedictine monks.

They have been saying that since they announced the game that team is very small.

I have the feeling that we are talking about this talentless cunt for the last 200 pages. It is a discussion done before.....a few times by now. There is not much to be said,just look back ward and notice that obsidian haven't produced a good RPG in a decade.
Posters love to hate Obsidian. If you sincerely hate something from the bottom of your heart, just ignore it. It's counter-productive otherwise.

In before "he has written novels, hence he is shit" crowd gets here.

His resume is at least good when it comes writing for games. Not to mention all that RPG writing experience as well. Will be fun/terrifying to see how all transfers to writing Obsidian style game, all of the games I recognize from that list are quite simplistic as in there's really no choice when it comes to dialogue options.
