Yes. Go ahead and spread your talent to projects no one except two people care for.

You mean the artists? Well, whatever they're doing might come in handy for PoE as well, like maybe using it to illustrate future bestiary entries and such. Or maybe the card game is just reusing art that they already made. I doubt it's some significant investment on Obsidian's part.

First F2P MMORPG, then F2P MMO, now multiplayer tabletop Card Game? The Decline never ceases to amaze me.

To be honest, this has nothing to do with Hearthstone. That is a digital collectible card game, this is more of your typical tabletop card game, which to my understanding is basically shorter and dumber version of board games.

Don't be surprised if they take it digital. With card games, you can keep your fans buying in at a relatively low cost.

.

Scott Everts and Chris Taylor have been doing tabletop and card games ffor a long time. It's no surprise they would jump on this opportunity.

Also something like this has been openly in the plans since the kickstarter days.

Now that you mentioned it, I was secretly hoping their plans to expand Project Eternity into board games, card games and MMO fail, because

1) I don't have a 2nd player

2) I don't have an acceptable geographical location, physical for goods or IP for MMO

3) I am a dick who can't stand other people being happy

If he was reading the Codex's PoE threads when he posted that, he did it without logging in.
