They should name it instead Warrior-like, mage-like, monk-like, cleric-like so that you wouldn't be able to complain about standard naming of standard classes.

Are you saying that Josh designed some standard, DnD-like (and we all know that DnD suck because Josh said so) classes instead of groundbreaking ones? Plain classes in a game made by the greatest visionary among RPG creators? How can you!

Actually, the reason why I'm so jacked-up for this is because it looks so much more like normal, down to earth fantasy than anything. Pretty much everyone else out there is doing wacky mix of genres or cheeky versions of them. This instead felt like actual classic Dungeons and Dragons adventure.

Black_Willow-like race, Penis-like class, -7 to intelligence; +7 to butthurt

In the end 99% codexers will choose fighter mage/cleric rogue combo.

Man this game looks fantastic.

If I have one nitpick it's that he portraits don't double as health bars :rpgcodex:

Is there some stream that would should some spellcasting character creation? Because GB went full retard and did barb and fighter.
Brian Adler of Obsidian played the game, not one of the GB guys.
Doesn't help me much, does it.
I got the impression the spell selection stuff wasn't ready to show.

Disagree on character creation, I think it looks good.
I'm so excited about all those original and non-cliched classes. Fighter, monk, cleric, barbarian - isn't it revolutionary? Josh is true genious.
Like I give a shit, I don't need whacky zany classes or anything like that, I've experienced enough of that in JRPGs to realize that I prefer classic high fantasy.
But yes, the modern gaming world is really lacking in stylized visuals and revolutionary classless systems.
You could always make a full party of Orlan ciphers if you can't stand the idea of playing the "cliches".
