About expansion packs... I followed BG1's dev cycle closely at the time. After it shipped a dev commented (quite innocently) that Tales of the Sword Coast had gone gold by the time BG1 shipped.

There is nothing new about staging content without it being 'Day One DLC.'

It's funny you should mention that. When BG came out they had a trailer for it in the German gaming magazines. That trailer showed scenes from TotSC and I always wondered when I'd get to that area, only realizing what was up once I played TotSC.

I have a feeling they won't use him as a stretch goal, he's not well known enough for that imho. I think they'll just annouce him as an added bonus.

I don't know if it will be an actual screenshot, but they will show something that is at least similar to the future graphics of the game. They already told us that we will get the first peak into the game this week.

Yeah I don't think they will use him as a stretch goal, but maybe an announcement with a collaboration maybe. Or hell, they finally came back to their senses and re-hired him. Though who knows. He could be really busy with other things though. A man can dream though...

Relex guys! This "expansion" thing is just an early move to rush people who already pledged close to 100$. I bet my dick being cut off and eaten by myself, that we will get an "add-on" above 35$ tier for 10-15 bucks in the next few days (probably 2-3 days) for the "expansion".

EDIT::

At the same time I am appaled to see what is going on after this update was announced. It is probably one of the worst updates up to date for this project (save for vague mention that we will get expansion at some point and we will have to pay for it). Fargo's name mentioned (without any substantial added bonus), some old photos, and BAHH, HURR, 20k in 30 minutes drops in.

Humanity is pathetic

That seems highly unlikely considering TotSC was released five months later. They didn't just print the discs and sit on them for months.
