They'll put in romances as a 4 million stretch goal. Biodrones go nirvana and pledge even their mortgages money. PE then gets 400k in 1 hour.
Just wait and see:troll:

Edair and Sagani romance fanfiction with Mass Effect crossover or gtfo.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Knew those Order people would start acting up sooner or later.
I don't understand. They give a whole 8$ and feel that they deserve special treatment? Adding up all the extra money that brought in is still less than a few 1k donors. As long as this bizarre group-think delusion brings in $ with no strings attached, fine. But as soon as people feel that they are owed something significant by giving up starbucks for two days it starts to reek.
The Codex itself will be contributing 4 to 5 times their miniscule amount!! WE DESERVE TO BE LISTENED TO, BY GOD!!!!!:mob:

... not that I want them listening to even three quarters of you guys at all!!!

I like to think that there's an unofficial "Codexian Order" which is the dark counterpart to the Obsidian Order. The Templars to their Hospitallers. The Blackguards to their Paladins.

I'm pretty sure once this game is delivered and we start analysing it and adding together all the things which were added through stretch goals, people will be shocked at how completely inadequate and bare-boned and the original game was planned to be.

The other option is that once they realized how much money they were getting they put in stretch goals that they had originally planned on including.

No doubt. As it stands now, Project Eternity sounds like it will be vaguely the size of Baldur's Gate 2 with an additional large city and an extra-large dungeon.

If they had barely met their funding goal we'd probably be getting less than half of that.

Possibly, and ingenious if so (people really should donate to projects as a cause in my opinion, so fuck what they expect from stretch goals), but I doubt the Endless Paths and the second large city would have been part of those plans.

i hope that they did their math beforehand and are not expecting 3.5mio+ to be the budget.

We are at 3,7 million if we count paypal. We are getting 25-30K per hour. I don't want to sound overly optimistic, but we can reach 4 million with paypal, if there is a big rush at the end (and there will be).

I wonder if they are experiencing a schism now @HQ over the next stretch goal. 18 months of development time make a bitch of a schedule. I cannot fathom how they are going to overcome the limited time/limited # of employees dilemma.

Like I said, because of the post-Kickstarter costs such as the 5% to Amazon and Kickstarter each, along with the cost of rewards and pledges that failed to get through (let's say another 10%), the net budget isn't going to be much more than $3 million. I'm really just hoping they make another $150k in the next seven hours so that the game has some extra funding in case they need it.

There is always (at least) one retard when ever you have any group of human beings.
No offense to the Codexians in the Order, but at least 90% of the Order is retarded. It seemed like a good idea at first, but when I saw the romance crowd running it, I knew it was going to be trouble.

They're terribly entitled and they have made rumblings of wanting their own forums, their own poll threads, and their own exclusive Obsidian Order swag only they can buy. You can bet your ass every time they post it's something stupid. It was a great way to group and organize all the Biodrones and Bethtards over there so they had a reason to keep on coming back.

On the first couple of run throughs, BGII pre-ToB is 50-100+ hours worth of content. So 25-50 hours worth of content in one playthrough on a game that was funded with 1.1 million would have been pretty damned good.

i dunno about u.s. law but ain't the pledges regular income for obsidian? so they also have to pay taxes for the whole sum, right?
