Achtung! We just had a little talk between me, Norfleet and helpie/Jarpie, and we decided that should the price tag on the Exchange become suitable (100 mil or less)... We will have a Fleet fundraiser to get our resident Cardie Bastard fizzelopeguss a Galor cruiser!

Sweet, I'll chip in as well!

And now some cool news...I succumbed to the master key sale and opened a few of the boxes I had sitting around, and actually won an Orb Weaver! I haven't opened it yet, not really sure what to do with it actually so I'm just sitting on it at the moment.

You have two choices to do:

1) Take the Orb Weaver, it's a damn good Science Vessel. And you can act foppish with it. Be careful though, it's non-refundable and character specific.

2) Don't open it, instead wait for the Exchange price to rise to 200 mil level... And then sell it for mucho EC.

That's not necessary mate (i have little to no idea how to fly cruisers).

That said, klink marauder missions seems to be a solid way of earning creds, i've earned about 4 to 5 million this week just casually doffing and selling the contraband and spoils (my dudes suck, mostly white and greens with a handful of blues)

If you had multiple klinks...cash moneys!

Dude, 4-5M just doffing? What are you selling, and for how much? Contraband prices seem to have dived, none of my sold anymore and they're down to a measly 50K.

Personally I make my moolah selling doffs nowadays, the prototype consoles are far more unreliable than Fleet Credits -> Credits conversion of doff reassignment.

it's the sheer quantity of shite that you're selling.

BOMBARD missions. Prisoners and commodities (prisoner missions reward dil, hence the demand)

DISABLE FREIGHTER: Contraband, prisoners.

HAGGLE: Rare commodities, jevonite, lockets, leaves etc. Sell that shit.

PILLAGE: prisoners, contraband, and gear (vendor for anywhere between a few k to 40k)

SCAVENGE MINEFIELD: Commodities, vendor fodder.

These missions depend on your doffs, critical successes reward more, things like dosi rotgut (200k min from what i've seen) particle traces (some i've sold for 100k plus).

Use story missions to transwarp around the map (this will be your only expense)
You'll need weapon doffs (torps, energy etc, these are the big ones.
Tractor doffs.(for freighters, again big money makers)
Assault squad doffs.(bombard and on planet missions)
Transporter doffs.
Traders and quartermasters (haggle iirc)
Explosives doffs. (minefields)

I think that's all, barely have time for an hour a day at this game currently (too much to catch up on). So the doffin' is ideal.

That isn't even really awful, they only misspelled ONE word.

So, what, we're going for basically volume of crap sold? I suppose at the going rates, if I sold 20 contrabands, I could make a million bucks that way...

Also, we should queue that special-edition SB project on Fed. I already queued it for Kli, since that slot will sit empty otherwise.

At the risk of sounding stupid, can we actually go to our starbases (the fleet ones that we invest in)? If so where are they?

Also why can I no longer deposit credits into the fleet bank?

I think you should be able to, but keep in mind you can only do it at the first tab.

As for the Starbase, it's physical location is in Eta Eridani, but you can transwarp there as well. Once there, just dock and visit our vendors or just have a look around.

That was probably the issue then. I think I was in materials making some deposits when I tried.

Yeah I noticed I can transwarp to it, but it was greyed out when I tried to (either I was already in EE I guess, or it was because I hadn't been to it yet) and it didn't say where it was just what it was. Thanks bro!

Hey guys! I'm really excited to start playing with you guys, my download's finally finished and I'm ready to kick in; except for one problem. Whenever the autopatcher tries to work, it says that it can't establish an internet connection. I know for sure that it has nothing to do with my internet connection, since it works fine and dandy, but I'd be grateful if someone could help me. Please guys help me out, also tell me what positions in your guild(or fleet as you'd prefer to call it)are needed to be filled in?(tank, healing etc.)

I went to your link, read all the suggestions which people had and still not working. This is weird, because League of Legends' launcher on my computer is working fine, why isn't STO's launcher working?

Make sure you try the ip address release/renew and the DNS cache flush as suggested in that thread if you haven't already.

Also, if you use the standard windows firewall, it may be blocking the patcher if you didn't tell the firewall software to allow it through.

It turned out that my launcher was an old version. Updated it to the latest by downloading it from PWI's forums. Thanks for all trying to help me though, guys! By the way, what server do you guys play in, what's the name of your fleet etc. ? I need to know all of this info please.

Just post your charactername@username here, and you'll get the invite to Codex Civilization Defense Squadron and the ImmateriumChat (our private chat channel that works both here, on both factions, with all once and future characters, and between STO and Champions).
