A single doff is 500 for a random useless civilian or scientist, and 750 to actually perform a useful task with direction. Randomboxes are only used for the initial stage if we have all 3 project types open. A stack of these is 50, so it costs 25K or 37.5K to purchase a stack. Quantities less than stack are just pointlessly irritating and unhelpful: You don't buy one nail or one piece of lumber, you buy entire boxes or truckloads of them.
At this point in time, an average daily consumes about 200 doffs, not including annoyance due to doffs being of the wrong type, as they come out of the box at random. So for practical usage, it takes about 5 stacks of doffs to reliably fill anything. And that's just ONE daily. We often have up to 6 of them. So, we're looking at about 30 stacks of doffs a day, for a cost of about 1.2M FC/day.
It requires an extremely organized and mechanical approach to make sure everything runs on time, and half-assed help is worse than no help as a result.
