For 30E that I paid for PoE2 I was planning to grab Premium Quad
For what it's worth, I regret every quad I have on my account. It's nice as a dump tab but the item art is too small and I'm almost considering emailing support to ask them to convert them all into 4 premiums.
As Dump tab it is perfect. If I was not sure what to do with item I would just dump it there and waste less time thinking about shit items and more time playing. I also used it as Uniques stash tab.

so whats the trading etiquette
if u buy pm + invite to party + join other player's hideout?
if u sell accept invite + wait other guy join your hideout?

don't have hideout yet so its more annoying now

listing items is so smooth I just have dump page for 1 exalted items

also every map rare enemy exploding is very obnoxious

When I was playing on PC and doing more trading when buying I would wait for them to invite me and then join their hideout. If selling I would invite people into party when I was ready to do the sale or message them to wait a few minutes. Being in the middle of a map fighting while some jerk wanting to buy shit from you sending you a popup to join party could get one killed.

One thing to praise about the game is the upgrade in environmental design. Maps look great and are varied. It´s pleasing to kill monsters in them. I remember them being ugly in PoE1.
Also music is very good. Some tunes stick in my head.

I purchased eight stash tabs, one premium upgrade, currency, gems, essence, and delirium. Flasks didn't seem worth it, though I don't know. Enormous amount of space now, one tab per 12 potential classes. I'm ready to go for a while, bros.
I picked gem, currency, essence and a big tab in the sale with the 30 eur, and still have some coins left.

I think is more than reasonable to pay that for the game.

Maps are pretty busy looking and the fading of the foreground objects is close to non-existent. Music is nowhere near old PoE themes, like Solaris Temple and The Warden's Quarters.

Been playing the gaem every spare minute bros, no time to whine on forums lolol. xD

It's pretty good but quite rough around the edges. Tried several classes/builds while passing down decent gear I found going SSF. Highest I got was CoF sorc, but it was pretty obvious a nerf was inc since it cleared exactly like they said they don't want POE2 to be played. At least inititally. Playing a monk now, caved in and bought a staff for 1 ex that trippled his dps. Now he's clearing in record speed and perma-freezing bosses with just ice-strike and bell. Same problem as in POE in that trading is exponentially more powerful than SSF. Still, I'm enjoying the gameplay far more than I did POE in its late days. No random one-shots. If I die it's pretty obvious why and how I could have avoided it.

And while the atmosphere is appropriately grimdark (the baron, caravan...), the story and writing are pretty disappointing. Act 1 I was still following the plot, but by the end of act 2 I didn't remember nor care why I was collecting mcguffins. Very few memorable dialogues or characters. Nobody even calls you Exile anymore. Una is a poor substitute for Nessa and the surprise reveal of the hooded fella was laughably anti-climatic. Nothing will ever hit the feels like old POE act 1-3, I guess.

Really not a fan of how the stash and gold is shared among all your characters, even if you are playing SSF.

Makes playing a second character less fun when you have plenty of gold to buy decent equipment (especially a weapon) the second you get to town. The bosses are so much easier this time around, and I don't think it is all just because I already fought the before. I have been able to make sure I have a better weapons than my initial character due to the already stashed gold and orbs.

I just don't think the developers understand that people want to play a single player game, not some multiplayer experience. We will have to make them understand.

finally played this. my witch with skellies and contagion felt meh... then I acquired random staff and started throwing fireballs instead which is way, waaay better. WTF is this

trying to grasp the changes, mostly unhappy about summons being tied to weapon, no longer can use them in supporting role

When buying something:
  • Whisper them using a direct whisper from the trade site
  • Wait for an invite
  • Join their hideout or town (if you can't let them know and ask them to come to you)
  • Trade and leave the party.
When selling something:
  • Get messaged
  • Invite them to party
  • Wait them to join your hideout/town
  • Trade and kick from party.

Summons are dogshit now, especially for levelling. You can do some stuff after getting good gear but still below any other skill set. ED Cont is much better to play imho.

Minion  spirit offering etc. was already a shit-show & that was a while ago. Detonate dead necro meta with bone offering is a telltale really. Then those spectres recently, meme-grade. Last time minion was real fun was vaal haste with soul-gain bypass from sextant (KIA).

Did PoE1 had enemies respawn when you die? It's kinda annoying.
nope, it's actually useful for grinding out levels. go to a high mob density area, get killed at the end, run it back
You do know you can just refresh zones just like in PoE1 at any time? No need to have everyone respawns on death shit for "farming" XP
yes, but that also resets the discovered map. dying in the act 3 ascendancy dungeon got me tons of exp and level 10/2 gems and currency. legitimately worth dying in

If there was a nice bonus area (like forgotten treasury or something) close to a checkpoint, do those reset on a manual checkpoint respawn?

If so, what would stop you from just resetting to the checkpoint over and over to keep getting the loot in those bonus areas?

Summons are not always "tied" to weapons. I assume you are referring to the spirit requirement. You get quite a bit of Spirit as passive bonuses throughout the campaign, enough to run minions as support. The real issue is rather that "support" minions will probably loose out against other stuff that wants to use spirit reservation.

There's some minions that don't require spirit. Raging spirits are used quite a bit, though probably not what you want. Zombies and unearth need corpses (no corpse generation yet). I guess the only real / useful support you can get from minions are the ones attached to totems (via Warbringer ascendancy). And there's that Infernalist pet.

True, PoE1's narrative was great with Dominus as a villain, and Piety as a thorn in your side. It felt more horrific, had more weight.

PoE2 feels more staged, despite appropriate grimdarkness, it feels a bit like you're going through the motions. Like they're stalling a bit, like every boss is just a means to an end rather than a true villain. PoE1's acts 6-10 were a bit like that too, but they had all that iconography of Innocence and Sin that was more interesting than what happens in PoE2.

Basically the issue is that the PoE2 villains have made no personal connection to you. Dominus exiled you. Piety fucks with your plans. But PoE2's Oriana is just there, we know nothing of her, there's no link to you. Just a cuntish noble. The player has no emotional engagement.

I swear this isn't just to prove your point, but who the hell is Oriana? Is that the bitch that keeps talking shit and running away as you wipe out the act boss?
Exactly, the only hint of a villain in the game.

A true woman villain would make my dick hard and make me disgusted about it at the same time, but no, we can't have that.

While true, because although I vaguely recall she was mentioned in act 1, I don't really recall how or why and you aren't given much reason to care since the focus is on the blood tentacle thing she's carting around; I wonder if they intend to more fully introduce her in the final release.

Granted, I doubt it because the genre isn't usually super story driven and it didn't sound like PoE1 was either in many ways. I think I'd prefer a semi-vague reason to go forward and blow shit up than say, whatever they've been doing with Diablo after 2.

Other notable ARPGs that I don't actually have any idea why you're rolling through the acts killing everything: Titan Quest, kinda-sorta Grim Dawn. Probably others, but anything that comes to mind was so stupid I bounced off early on and have no idea if it's introduced later.

PoE1 had lore out the wazoo if you were paying attention. It wasn't the most amazing lore ever but it was somewhat logical and interconnected.

And the really good voice acting made you care about it. Dialla and Grigor in particular stood out for me, I felt sad for them and wanted to understand their story.

If I wanted to take an actual stab at PoE1 again, what's the best way to do it? Standard league to go through the base or whatever season is going on and then... through the campaign or directly into the seasonal thing?
