Now you can REALLY cradle all those Shaper balls, exiles! :happytrollboy:

This visceral trope overdose would even make Cliffy B proud.

Unless they completely fuck up todays presentation there will be lots of money coming into GGG pockets between today and 6th of December.

Even though endgame footage has tons of enemy density and attacks going off, it retains visual clarity. Really happy with this footage.
I would not agree, many spells shown still have over the top effects but the more worring thing shown is clearing whole screens fast not that much different than PoE1.
It seems GGG caved to complainers.

A reliquary, it's already in PoE 1. The way it works is:
1) folks who spent lots of money decide what kind of items can show up in this thing
2) you find an item, while playing, that drops just like any other item, of a type "vault key"
3) you stick it up in your map device, you go to an area with no enemies and just a single chest
4) you click the chest, a foil version (fancy animation on top of) random unique out of the pool set up by the rich folks drops for you. Enjoy your Foil Obliteration.

I might miss something, but did they said the atlas map is infinite?
Because the - much simpler - Delve map starts lagging like hell at some point.

Dude you shouldn't really compare even >10mbps geforce NOW video feed let alone yt or twitch.

Hate to be a buzzkill but this stuff lol, imagine waiting for this. Youd be better off with mobile port of 1 because theyd need to use 4x MSAA and optimize it to hell and back instead you got this consolitis.

Looks like that, they even said something like 'biome' which exists only in the context of delve. Actually feels deeply satisfying that they are corralling everyone into sanctum and ultimatum, people gotta suffer :smug:

I hope the Sanctum mechanic will be more inclusive. Last time in PoE 1 I played, anything that wasn't totems or mines just sucked for it due to the honour mechanic.
Ultimatum seems ok and better suited for a large variety of builds.
Don't forget there will be a third ascendancy mechanic in full game. Hopefully it's delve, because wtf no delve in this game...

I don't think the infinite atlas map would be a problem. Contrary to delve, the map doesn't translate to continuous dungeon with tiles etc. So the memory requirements for atlas should be way less. When does the delve map start lagging for you? I usually go to between 600-1000 depth and no slowness there.

I just splurged on the 60$ supporter pack because HYPE! Can't wait to play this after watching the announcement. Threw me back to the early days of POE1 when everything was new and exciting. Looks like they got rid of some most annoying mechanics and streamlined at the right places like socket coloring and links while retaining complexity and customization and improving loot.

I haven't been active in POE1 much in recent years so I'm unbiased towards new trials and league mechanics but we'll find out soon enough.

NO SALVATION WITHOUT SACRIFICE!

Surprised they have endgame they did well on that, now let's see progression and if they wage war on data mining for years and years like they did the previous game.

It is going to be a completely different game than PoE1. PoE1 has two clear stages, before and after Path of Building.
And needing to play PoE2 without new version of Path of Building is going to make it completely different game.

I'm betting PoB will support PoE 2 in under 3 months after start of EA.
There's a holiday soon after release. 3 months seems pretty pessimistic.

I probably won't cash in for the beta unless people say it's the bees knees. Other people can run into the meatgrinder of overtuned content first.

I've played it and it's by far the best feeling aRPG I've ever played. This is the least egregious form of consolitis ever. Unless you're upset about WASD being the superior input.

Just watched it. Looks amazing. My impressions:

- pots reworked + charms - seems great with ton of potential, never liked piano garbage.
- skill tree is now central ala poe1 SCION but without wasting travel points. Amazing change. Want melee witch ? You can play that from lvl1. I just hope they will keep weapon stances per class. I want my witch to drag two hander after her like in POE1.
- because they nuked crafting bench other stuff is not boosted like orbs crafting etc. with better drops.
- waaay less garbage loot. Rares seems to be "rare" again.
- melee finally is true melee. One handing two handers, proper blocking, movement, skill combos. I didn't play yet POE2 but this looks like to be #1 best melee gameplay in diablo-likes which is huge.
- Never liked ascendancy system but some of new ascendacies are kind of cool. Something more than just stat boosts, like exclusive transformations, stat reversals etc. I wish that those ascendancies would be tied to places/factions rather to character class. Like becoming monk of Chuyala would require you to do breaches and "attune" your spirit to breach world.
- Finally some of leagues that sticked like sore thumb now seem to be properly integrated into game. Love the idea of different trials not just one trial.
- New Atlas looks kind of shit graphics wise, like some sort of civilization game but complexity wise it seems to be cool. I could see GGG adding new content to the game and it being added as just new atlas map pieces as it generates into infinity. I don't understand though how it will work, scrolling map much like delve non stop will get annoying fast.
- I like that specific rewards are tied to specific content. I feel like POE1 always intended to be like that but they always added new mechanics that just shat everything either way. So you never actually felt like you needed to play specific content for specific rewards.
- they definitely took some time to get right graphics and how clean it looks. Even at high monster count it looks readable.
- Skill combo galore. Honestly love it.
- 1 support type total in all gems is interesting change. Imho great rework, too many times in POE1 you just stack damage and ignore everything else. With how combos work in POE2 stacking damage might not actually be the best way for some skills. For example if you get ice wall longer then maybe it will multiply damage this way rather than just shitty +30% to damage support. Too early to tell but it seems much more interesting.

I am pretty pumped up after watching it. Their choice to focus on end game and finish campaign later is understandable for EE. I am personally a fan of good diablo like campaigns but if end game is properly integrated into campaign (ala grim dawn) i love it too then.
