Hmmmm so much new stuff to tinker with, I cannot wait to spend 400 hours on failed builds.
I generally don't play early access games, but this one I have to get. One simple reason, if I wait a few years, by then they'll add a bunch of retarded shit to appease streamers and autists and the game will turn into the same mess that PoE1 became. Immediately at launch is should me more tame, and more enjoyable to play.
- I like that specific rewards are tied to specific content. I feel like POE1 always intended to be like that but they always added new mechanics that just shat everything either way. So you never actually felt like you needed to play specific content for specific rewards.
Not the current version of PoE. Endgame is based around autists using broken builds with best items. It does not care how you want to play. For example if you are not using Cluster Jewels your build is 20% weaker. And endgame is designed around people using them.- I like that specific rewards are tied to specific content. A strength of POE 1 is that you get to decide what content you want to do and you can ignore the content you don't like doing. Forcing people to do content they don't like for specific rewards is poor design and unsustainable, cause some league mechanics genuinely is unplayable for some builds.
I agree, PoE2 will have at best 2 years of being good game and then it will go to shit like PoE1 did.I generally don't play early access games, but this one I have to get. Real talk, I honestly hate POE1.
It's got very bad access for casuals because of how overly complex it is and tedious and boring spreadsheet simulator autism game.
graphics look shit, animations shit, ZOOMY too fast pixels all over the screen.
POE2 seems to fix alot of that.
Basically waht I want is a mix between D4 and POE2, not too complex, not too casual. perfection. I'm hyped for POE2 tbh.
Zoom-zoom happens not because the game forces people to do that, but because it provides the best diiv/hr or whatever will be the most versatile and rare currency in poe2. Antizoom crowd will be surprised how fast the game will get solved and there will be new cookie cutter screen clearing builds that net the best currency gain. Also, the crafting seems to be even more powerful (and deterministic) than the original harvest, so I'd expect it to be nerfed quite fast.ZOOMY too fast pixels all over the screen.

I must've missed that part of the reveal. It is less complex for sure and also info about systems is way better presented.Real talk, I honestly hate POE1.

POE2 looks to have better animations, but I am not seeing how it is less complex than POE1. If anything it is more complex and ZOOMY too fast pixels all over the screen will probably still happen in endgame.

the devs were talking about using exalts in act 1 during the qa stream

Well, making loot relevant is nice and all, but I feel it will not actually be easier to make mid-tiers if there's no deterministic crafting. Especially with all the tiers and affix weights being completely opaque. And some more stuff, I don't recall. I got the feeling from the stream that it will be easier to craft nice mid-tier items, but harder to get the really perfect ones. Converting a decent drop to a nice item should be more common, and GGG wanted people to be more interested in what's on the floor for a long time.

What you do not remember is vaal orbs and corrupting.I must've missed that part of the reveal. How does crafting work in poe2?
The basics are still the same, you use currency orbs on the items. Biggest differences that I can remember:
1) no Scouring Orbs, so no way to quickly and cheaply get the base to its base state
2) annulls are still there, but they remove only one affix at a time. Some people on reddit think they will be new divs as far as currency goes
3) I think chaos was mentioned to reroll random 3 affixes (out of 6 maximum) and not the whole thing
4) exalts and regals are supposed to be way more available (the devs were talking about using exalts in act 1 during the qa stream)
5) bench, harvest, beast is gone AFAIK
6) anoints are still in, but a different mechanic drops stuff required for it
7) lots of other stuff I don't recall well.

The crafting bench was literally in the stream.
No scours, but essences now work as targeted stat craft regals (so like old harvest, but without hassle of growing crops and running dozens of maps). So essentially you can get at least 3 stats that you need and then exalt slam the others you deem less important.I must've missed that part of the reveal. How does crafting work in poe2?
Whites are going to be more valuable than blues.
