I suppose ppl coming up with act3 stuff don't even work there for many many years now.

The 40/40 achievement stuff (lol) reads like written by middle schoolers.

Starting final playthrough before POE2 in a hour.
Comfy duelist, true melee only, standard, after work so not that many hours, no trading nor using old stash items.
2,250h just on steam. Time to bury the old...

GGG and their shenanigans.

Got baron in act 3. Overall they upped shitload MF because i didn't play in a long time. Like act 5 now and found at least 10 uniues (including baron) and i am mostly speedrunning with ethereal knives and double strike.

That is nerfed Baron. They always kill all the fun out of items unless they are stuff like Mageblood that I have never owned (or Headhunter) even after few thousand hours of playtime. Closest thing was Doctor card that let me buy stuff for my first Shaper killer character when Shaper was still ultimate boss.

done with duelist playtrough.

Around 10 hours, doing all side quests too. Mostly flying on ethereal knives dual wielding claws and glad ascendancy.

you are going to skip maps?
Nah, grinding for hours maps is not something i like and i have some work to do before i take vacations on 7th.

Upgrades in POE to reach juiced red maps reliably outside of trading are hard to come by. With current build i could do mid tier maps at best as i had some luck with gear and have like 3,5k life , 75% block, 78% all res outsdie of chaos and glad blood splosions to pop those packs, also 20% elusive on hit. Ele damage is still a problem since they removed glad spell block and suppression isn't easily available on my part of tree.

I am glad though that poe 2 is removing life nodes from the tree. They tried to mitigate that with life per level improvements few years back but it always sucked because tree nodes are waaaay to important.

edit:

Decided to run again new playtrough with bow ranger this time and try that kalgur village stuff. So far seems fun.

The problem with skipping maps is two fold. Campaign is super easy on purpose so you are never forced to have a real build. I usually finish campaigns with whatever, 4l, 3l , whatever skill I feel like using. Maps is only place in the game where you have to think about your character and your build and get pieces for it.
Just playing campaign is pointless.

This is why I wanted PoE2 campaign to actually be hard and force you to take it seriously.

Guys you probably don't need new title but some shuffle so you can play blind. So maybe you should have embraced some early timeless jewel concept instead some lofty dev-knows-better-hell-yeah kek-kool-aid.

They used to do roguelike themed races where you had chests full of cool loot after each zone and permadeath. It's a shame they didn't make it into some kind of permanent mode, I'd have played the hell out of that. Only got to do it a few times because they were always very limited time like once a league or some shit.

Do you guys use online builds or you experiment on your own?
Played until act 2 with a duelist. Didn't touch POE since 2018, found QOL like shortcut to teleport and beastiary. Dx12 looks better. So much fun compared to D4.

There was also a random tree event that didn't coincide with tattoo stuff at all. Why (?).

Also they don't do justice to old league stuff really. Well basically timeless jewel stuff is retired just like Cadiro and that was million times better voice act than you going to get also better theme than this tribal stuff with grunts. Straight up fiendish stuff, king of mists who even writes this shit.

That's just a pipedream. These games are based on repetition and grind, and realistically, you won't even be able to max out your character during a normal playthrough.

In PoE2 you will get to level 45 at the end of Act 3, then move to NG+ (Cruel level difficulty) to get to level 65, and then move to the endgame to get to 100.

NG+ will be replaced by acts 4, 5 and 6 on full release. They removed them on EA release to get more content for Endgame.

The only thing that could change are the bosses, since now you have WASD controls and dodge and some things could be based on your actual skill.

You never max out your build. Only difference between campaign and maps in PoE1 is that everyone does more damage in maps and can receive more damage so you are forced to get more life, max out your resists and get that 5l and later 6l.
There is no real reason to not also make campaign be harder in same way so you are already forced to use a real build and farm for gear and levels if need be.
