Who cares about companions, when there are real issues present. Baleful polymorph results in unlootable corpses. Unlootable. You can see the loot, but clicking on it does nothing. :argh:
I reported this long ago but did they do anything? No.

Maybe they can't make them lootable and not-revivable at the same time? Still shitty.
It seems to be related to whether the items can be equipped (or were equipped). General junk like gems is lootable. But that lovely enchanted armor? No.

The female power of Valerie and Amiri who were BOTH beaten up by men in their quests and you can't do anything about it also eluded me.
That is up to the player,a good build could win those battles. Armak is pretty tough tho. The Valerie duel was pretty easy, she is nearly immortal by late game, now she have 45-50 AC.
I was sure the Armag fight is scripted because he breaks her sword. I had lots of HP left when I "lost" that fight.
Val's fight is definitely winnable though.

You can win Armag's fight but then a defaced sister interrupts for the same outcome.
Even if you killed the Defaced Sister?

Damn, when was the last time a thread for a good game grew to 500 pages?

Anyway, I failed a willpower check and bought it. Here's hoping I don't run into major issues. What difficulty is recommended? I gravitate towards what would be Core Rules in the old IE games.

Start with Challenging in that case. Early game is harder so you might want to bump it up to Hard eventually.
Difficulty has multiple sliders and parameters so it's very customizable.

There are 8 of them, you have to kill 5 of them, but you can persuade one of them tho.

No I mean if you kill the one who tries to kill Nilak like 30 seconds before the Armag duel.

Comparing P:KM to SoD on the SJW-ery scale is beyond retarded.

In SoD you were forced to endure lengthy cutscenes with agenda speak, PF:KM has a few mentions of it from minor NPCs. No way is the scale comparable.
I don't know what scenes you are talking about. The short talk with minor and easily missed NPC transgender that you can afterwards murder without any reputation loss and get her gear?
Or the talk with that one companion that hits of girls but is then put down by another NPCs and you cannot comment anything bad about it?

What are these lengthy cutscenes? Sorry, but most complaints about SJW in SoD came down to quoting that shitty fat writer idiot. I does not matter what she said, the game itself didn't have as much SJW stuff as P:KM has. And Minsc stuff was removed in a patch. While Owlcat are adding more bisexual companions in a DLC...

It's not about the content, but how they present it.

In no instance did I think Owlcat is pushing an agenda while I played the game, while in SoD it was palpable.

Maybe Owlcat simply does a better job of doing it subliminally?
:happytrollboy:
I think you should play SoD again without reading Codex topics about it while doing it. 'Dex has a way to change perception of people. Before I joined here I didn't even notice that elf companion in DAO being gay :D
I just ignored him for being a character I didn't want in my party. And I didn't notice Jaheira being a bitchy wife, she was just a shitty multiclass fighter/druid that I never cared to use in my parties. And so on and on.

EDIT: Amiri and Valerie are obviously pushing an agenda, at least in Act 1 when you meet them. They seem sure of themselves, only later they are deconstructed.
How could you not know Zevran was gay? You didn't notice the pointy ears?
Also Jaheira being a shrew was at least 75% of her character in BG1. And it was fine, she was pretty well-written.
You are talking to a guy that played both BG1 and BG2 with custom companions (or solo) for many many years. I never did any romance in BG2 and ignored most companion content if it wasn't directly in my face. Even when I had some companions, I decided to no have Anomen with me because I didn't want to fuck around with his quest and shit.

When I played DAO, that was basically first Bioware game that forced me to play with companions. Zevran came to my party, I tried him for a short while, he didn't fit my party and I kicked him out. I didn't even talk to him after that. I read he was gay years later on the internet. Just like how I read you can romance NPCs in BG2 years later :D

EDIT: As for Jaheira, she had shitty stats, I replaced her and Khalid with custom companions :D
Only with BG1EE I took her in my party and got Khalid killed.

Yeah, there's more of them there, you evade ?2? and then you kill the one next to Nilak.

You don't seem to have a working memory, so let me remind you: 99.99999999% of the complaints during SoD launch were about the "SJW Stuff".
I never denied this. It was completely warranted, too.
[MISOGYNISTS RUINED SIEGE OF DRAGONQUEER FUCKING GOBLINS REEEEEEEEE]
You're fucking retarded, even as commies go.
Okay... so because russian mongoloids didn't let me complete Harrim's questline my favourite bro is dead. And I don't have a priest, except sort of Jaethal.

:thisisfine:
So my fix didn't work for you, that far into the game? Sad, but unsurprising.

First of all how do you know it failed? They sold out all the editions with physical awards, sales on their own platform were so good it killed their servers for a whole day and I am sure Steam sales did at least OK.
How do I know it failed? Because it was near-universally panned by everyone outside of the SJW clique, ridiculed, and then promptly forgotten. Oh, they definitely made money on it, I'm sure, but you have your head buried deep in the anus to claim that it was a success by any meaningful measure, never mind clinically retarded to claim that it was good.
I never agreed that it failed and I am not even talking about that. I am talking how goblins that spent 100% of the time here shitting on SJW stuff in SoD are now starting to do same to this awesome game that has as much or more SJW stuff but was so far spared from most attacks.
Yes? Should a game not be criticized for it's faults? Had Dragonqueer not been shit, it wouldn't have been received in the way it was, and it wouldn't have suffered as harshly from some of it's most apparent issues (i.e. writing, narrative/(C)NPC, mod-like low-quality production, etc.).

While PF:K is a good game, once the honeymoon phase is over, it is only natural that observed issues are raised again, and discussed at length. We've only just scratched the surface with PF:K, really, and it will likely be picked apart for a considerable time. Issues are first noted in passing, and are then reiterated and dissected later. There is absolutely nothing weird about this in any way whatsoever, and it's natural that the trashier part of the game should be first up on the chopping block after the game has been patched. There's nothing wrong with shitting on shit things, and calling others "goblins" is about as meaningful as saying "muh sexists" or some other cop-out deflection.
Only panning that happened is in your goblin brain. Only goblins here and on steam reviews that kept screaming "SJW!!SJW!!We cannot have SJW!" were panning it. Those that played it without caring for that shit enjoyed combat and encounters. Even here people said that some of the quests (like the Lich) were nicely designed.
You still didn't prove anything but that you have shit for brains.
Saying the game was shit does not make it true outside your brain.

Load a save, make a mercenary priest.

NO! I want my Dwarf Xan!

I can use Cheat Menu to manipulate 1 part of his quest, but I don't see a way to manipulate quests that didn't start. And I don't think 2 part can start that at this point.

You're beyond fucking stupid. I'm sure it's a complete and utter coincidence that PF:K hasn't gotten the same reception, and it surely has something to do with evil goblinoids being evil and stuff, and has absolutely nothing to do with the relative qualities of the games and their writing.

There is only one quest to be restarted - it will resume where it was broken, for all intents and purposes. That being said, I think it's highly unlikely - but far from impossible - that the follow-up quests will trigger. It depends on how they're triggered. If they're set to trigger at specific times in relation to other triggers (such as entering a new or specific chapter) you're SOL, but if they're set to trigger as soon as some other prerequisite is fulfilled and will keep checking for that, there is a chance.

Honestly at this point I just want you to try it to see if it works or not.

Don't know about evading,i convinced the barbarians to just attack. And yeah, there are two remaining, one you get to kill infront the tomb, the other is killed by armak inside.

Shit for brains, is this what you have come down to? Changing other people posts when quoting them so you can appear smarter than a goblin?
Seriously!? You have been spending too much time with Nok Nok thinking that you are a hero while everyone else knows you are just a jester.

It's called paraphrasing. I realize it's a novel concept to you, but look it up.
thinking that you are a hero
I think you've got me mixed up with yourself (I'd say that you're projecting, but I don't want to overload someone that doesn't even have basic pattern recognition). You're the one operating in some demented universe where games tank and are trashed because people are sexoid misogynists and no other reason could possibly explain why people highlight certain issues other than them being boogeymen goblins that're trying to take your human rights away and probably gas everyone too because the holocaust or something. Watch out, now they're coming for your PF:K, despite lauding it for 500 pages, here it comes, the gamergate goblins are out to steal your game and hide it away like communist nazis in the night, oooooh booga-booga-boogie.
