Come on dude, stop shilling for Kingmaker. Seriously, just by the things mentioned in this thread the writting in Kingmaker is HORSESHIT and it has more faggots/SJWs in it than a democrat gathering in Hollywood.

Seriously, even SoD is leagues ahead of it on that department, and you know it. You just won't admit it to yourself, you are in denial.

Hmmmm.

The real crime here is the disgusting-ass filter slapped on top of everything.
It's so much uglier than the original, it's not even close. I can still see that mountain area they made for Rasaad's quest when I close my eyes... :negative:
You can finish it (the Jabberwock comes out) but yeah you suffer damage to stats so counter-productive if you want high Kingdom stats at the end.

So finishing the curse doesn't stop the fey invasion?
No it doesn't. I didn't find that waiting tanked my kingdom stats really, but if I had waited much longer past the start date of the curse I would've run out of advisors to assign.

I was wondering how this game didn't suffer the fate of Siege of Dragonspear but now I see it will. Goblins are slowly coming out from their dens.
Are you seriously retarded enough to imply that muh soggy knees or some horseshit excuse like that is somehow responsible for the failure of Siege of Dragonqueer?
It was in here. 75% of posters focused on few SJW stuff (and on that shitty writer girl that was fired soon after and her Minsc shit removed) , while 25% focused on nice AI and well designed encounters.

P:KM has more SJW stuff than SoD did, even with being a much bigger game. At least in SoD you didn't have a gay or bi romance with anyone, that alone beats any SJW content in SoD that got goblins over here so riled up.
The worst thing about SoD was the rewriting of the original companions, and the acknowledgment that they were revising the characters. Jaheira's SoD writer straight-up said "Yeah I don't really like her because she's bossy so I just made her Generic Stronk Wymyn instead." And of course the whole Minsc thing.
P:KM may have more SJW stuff but it also has much better writing overall.
Goddammit ArchAngel why'd you have to go and make me think of Beamdog today :argh:
Don't worry. I can't wait to see how HBS will fuck up the famous established characters that they are going to put into their awful fanfic shit. It is going to make cuckdog's offending look like jaywalking.

Imagine Valerie's duel in Beamdog's Freddy Krueger world.

She'd kill her Paladin superior in dialogue and cause his character to topple over, before he dies he'll utter that he was wrong all along and that she truly is the Alpha Wolf at which point he asks for an honourable death which she swiftly grants. Then the goddess that she shunned is so proud of Valerie that she bestows from the skies above, god rays, church choir and all, a suit of divine armour and a sword that does +15 damage to men. And 80,000 xp to all women and transgenders in your party. Then a parade is thrown in your kingdom without your choice for celebration of rainbows and pink things.
No need parade. Your town just turns rainbow colours and rainbow sparkles everywhere. All non-LGBTIWTFLOL! people either flee or die from heart attacks caused by the gayness (you try to be uber-happy and laugh 24/7 and see what happens). If your main character's romance isn't activated, you die. If you are not in a LGBTIWTFLOL! relationship, you die. You get a non-standard game over where the devs all laugh at you for not being woke.

You don't need a cleric at all, just don't get hit bro.
Harrim can heal, though; the only thing he can't do is selective channeling. Which is very useful early game, but not so later, where damage caused by enemies gets inflated past where channeling could keep up. It's a feat that loses value quickly, even moreso since the only item to increase channel value competes for the slot with wisdom headbands.

The female power of Valerie and Amiri who were BOTH beaten up by men in their quests and you can't do anything about it also eluded me.
That is up to the player,a good build could win those battles. Armak is pretty tough tho. The Valerie duel was pretty easy, she is nearly immortal by late game, now she have 45-50 AC.
I was sure the Armag fight is scripted because he breaks her sword. I had lots of HP left when I "lost" that fight.
Val's fight is definitely winnable though.

You can win Armag's fight but then a defaced sister interrupts for the same outcome.
Even if you killed the Defaced Sister?

Apparently studying the nature of curses / doing the curse projects is
the only way through which you can get the secret ending where you join kingdoms with Nyrissa.

So they're not completely useless.

"lets tumble in the bushes for a bit before we go off to fight a god of first world" seemed really out of place in nyrissa route

There's a Reddit post about it and shit is more convoluted than that. Much much more convoluted.

I haven't gotten there, so I'm not sure how it's portrayed, but from a Fey perspective, it's not so strange. Their grasp of time and space isn't great. I thought a particularly appropriate encounter (although it somehow felt a bit wonky as I play-tested it) was
when you meet the fey that's murdered someone in a carriage and put the other guy on a pedestal of barrels, and it turns out that she has no concept of permanence

Guys does anyone know when that DLC with the Tiefling race is coming out?

Also: in terms of the +5 Dodge Monk Robes that are equippable by Good characters, is there more than one of those available or is it a unique item?

At least Valerie had the TSS class which is very good...
??
whats good about this class?
I'd be lying if I said that I actually like the Archetype in question, but it is great, provided that what you want to do is make an unassailable tank.

Bonuses to Reflex (usually a Fighter's weakest save), removal of tower shield penalties (making tower shields flat-out superior to all other shields for all intents and purposes), a reduction of shield penalties to go along with the regular reduction of armor penalties (which again makes tower shields flat-out better than any other shield option), Shield Bonus to touch attacks (which may not be great in PF:K, but it definitely makes a huge difference when you DO face enemies that use touch attacks), and eventually you're even immune to fucking flanking, which also means that you're almost immune to sneak attacks (or rather, you won't be subject to them in most cases).

And what do they lose? Weapon Training, which isn't that relevant to a tank (sadly), and fucking Bravery, which was a ridiculously niche bonus anyway.

The other Fighter Archetypes do not really compare at all when it comes to unambiguous for-purpose upgrades. I'd say that Two-Handed Fighter is probably pretty good, but I don't think it's as clear-cut as Tower Shield Specialist is for shield-users. Sadly, few or no things in the Two-Handed Fighter Archetype seems to apply to ranged weapons, and those that are described as open-ended (e.g. Overhand Chop) are most likely melee-only too.

The only thing that really annoys me about Valerie is that both she and Amiri are locked in on using Bastard Swords, and also that Valerie doesn't have 13 Intelligence nor 13 Dexterity (IIRC), so she can't grab Combat Expertise and Combat Mobility, which is frustrating because I like the idea of her grabbing Combat Expertise, Combat Mobility and Combat Reflexes. It's funny that Fighters are usually considered SAD, but if you want to make an effective tank and roleplay some kind of battlefield tactician, you're suddenly MAD as hell, doubly so if you want to actually have a competent Charisma.
he looks as white as an italian
If by Italian you mean an actual ethnic Italian and not the hordes that are currently inhabiting southern Italy, then yeah.

valerie can be good if you use that hat that reduces character weight and focus on dex
tbh that hat would probably be broken as hell on a custom character using strength as a dump stat

” No!” the awful voice continued. “That is not a white man! That is a [swear word] [derogatory term for someone of Middle Eastern descent].”

Where is this hat? I haven't come across it yet. What does it actually do? Simply reducing character weight isn't something I'd associate with making something broken, because someone that is Dex-based usually doesn't want to wear heavy armors anyway, and if you've got enough Dex, you end up pretty much not wanting to wear anything.

It's from the lindwyrm(sp?) that's at the bridge area to the east of your capital. Specifically, a dead mage behind it has it on him. Don't remember specifically what it does, haven't played for a while now.

Oh, wait, yes, I have that one, on my Eldritch Archer/Eldritch Scion coal-burner. The top-hat. I gave it to Regongar, because he looks absolutely baller in it, combined with the wyvern cloak and the adamantine chainshirt. He's also the only one I can imagine actually wearing it unironically, and I guess I've got a LARPing streak when it comes to these things.

I didn't realize that it also increased the carrying weight of the one wearing it, because it doesn't say that in the description and I only noticed party carry weight increasing. It's a bit weird, honestly, since the things you're wearing obviously isn't inside of the hat. By this logic, you should also be able to carry bags of holding in your belt in order to increase personal carry weight. Which is absurd. Just as absurd as us not being able to stack some damn potions or scrolls in our belt.
