If you make her a Bard and use Dirge it seems to auto apply (except undead as you note - I leave her at home usually for Vordokai). Even with Display she’s a good bet. The usual combo there is some Thug levels.

Martials and builds that don't rely on short-duration or blaster/save-or-suck spells are still very useful because of the sheer amount of trash that the game throws at you. Having a big gun spellcaster is still vital for key boss fights, but being able to smoothly dispatch endless trash mobs without taking lots of damage, ability score drain, energy drain, and so on, is still the most efficient way to build your party.

hmmm so i can dump linzi and use valerie as bard?hmm hmm hmm.....

What I was doing was using Val on Heroics and Dirge (using Lingering) and B6/Thug4/Aldori Defender8 Linzi on Courage and Fascinate.

For most of that game Linzi was on the bench and Val was TSS1/SF1/Bx and she was great full casting with a Tower Shield and semi-tanking with Image.

Agreed. The game does like throwing a lot of trash encounters at you. It's why haste is soo good in this game.

I don't think MT would be a good fit for Tristan. You would be slowing your spell progression. Unless you can find other ways for him to be useful until late game, I suggest not taking MT. I got away with Harrim being MT because I could still make him useful via procing outflank for my team.

Well besides his heals he will have a lot of
Magic missile/fireballs to clear trash fights.
K waill of the bansee is stellar but how many can you cast before you rest.
Dont know thow if his spell dcs will he enougj for hard.

Roahin has a good infinite fireball MT Tristian build at GOG forums. You don’t need Tristian til around Vordokai anyway since Harrim gets +4 vs Giants (including Trolls) so you’ve got time for him to catch up. Tristian is still 3/4 BAB himself so does fine Enlarged with a reach weapon when not casting. Harrim wants to close for Touch of Chaos.

MT Harrim has Arcane Spell Failure issues. Both want to stay close for Archon’s Aura.

Check the results on the next pic. Smilidons don’t care about BAB. That was also before I figured out that Legendary Proportions works with Wildshape.

She gets Smilodon from Armag relic armor. Can also do it via Beast Shape IV.

Also, how is it level 18. It should be level 20.

I play unmodded. She’s TSS1/MT3/Feyspeaker4/Sylvan Sorc10.

You’ll notice the ability to spontaneously cast the entire crappy Druid second lvl Spellbook. Full pet, hence twin Smilodon.

Feyspeaker4 gets +4 saves vs Fae.

What would be the best summoner class?inquisitor?

Monster Tactician gets a ton of casts, his summons last forever, even at the beginning, and they share his teamwork feats. Can also have domain pet if that’s your thing.

Solid if ultimately unexciting.

Druids and Herald Callers get Spontaneous Summoning at rnd/lvl instead of min/lvl and with no teamwork feats but most people prefer those classes to Inquisitors.

What’s ruined about it? Yeah, all my toons can both fight and cast, it’s how I minimize rest. Full attack Charge is tremendously powerful. Two at once doesn’t have to apologize to anyone.

+4 from Resist Nature’s Lure +4 from Shake if Off changes the game. She’d still get to lvl eight spells.

That’s the way I always play D&D understanding it’s not always the most powerful approach. On this game it turns out that it is.

That was how much AC my Jaethal was able to achieve in my last Unfair playthrough. For Unfair Iron man playthrough, I think I'm just going to splash 3 levels into inquisitor then rest into two handed fighter.
