I must say im completely hooked on this game. I don't really care much about the story tbh, it seems pretty simple (im around chapter 2) but the games so good.
Having said that i feel its getting easier each level i go up, is it like that or its just where im at at the game?

You reached what is in PnP called "a sweet spot". It lasts from lvl 5 to about lvl 13 when enemies start using death spells... well in PnP they do. Here it lasts a bit longer until you reach House.

It doesn't necessarily have to be lvl 5- lvl 13. Once you start getting buffs like good hope + haste + legendary props. The game is going to get easy regardless. The difficulty spike only picks up in the end game. I mean there are some highly specific enemies that will prove a challenge, but meh.

I think the game gives you some op gear kind of early. It gave me 2 insane bows which are Weapons of mass destruction in ekundayos hands, some really good armor for the tanks, and more strong weapons than my party can handle tbh, and im kind of low level still.

Yes. Wait until you get to the late game. End game suffers from so much stat bloat it isn't funny. I honestly don't know what the devs were thinking when they implemented +8 belts, Bokken's Potion, +8 mental stats, and so on and so forth.

I found out why I was not getting the option to upgrade my capital to a town. Indeed, as people advised here, one of the buildings was "colored" and was not counting towards the buildings total. It was the Piers. So once I had 6 non-colored buildings, I was given the project to upgrade to town.

Btw, the artisan Shaynih'a is a glorious character. She has all these stories about how her lineage was worthy of respect, but to her detriment they all turn out to be false. I wish she were a companion.

That's how it is, even on unfair you will reach a point where the game becomes easy. The difficulty spike should start picking up later in the game, and trust me make sure you've stocked up on scrolls/spells. That end game difficulty spike is a bitch if you don't know what you're doing.

Scrolls and Spells is one way to do it. Knowing what you're doing of course a must.

I was already drowning in items when this shit starts showing up:

I accidentally bought 5000 BP instead of 500 at some point and didn't notice until I'd saved over two nights worth of playing.

Still not to Pitax yet.

So since it's 50% off on GOG currently, I was considering picking it up. Any DLC worth getting as well or is the base game good enough as is?

Base game is Yuuuuggge! While DLCs are pretty underwhelming, at least I found them so, compared to the base game that is.
(I did not play the megadungeon one though).

Honestly, unless you have a penchant for kinetic/dark kineticist and tieflings... you will not miss much. They are not Tales of the sword coast or Throne of Bhaal.

What 3? That is the huge one that attacks your capital. Party is lvl 10. 4 of them only as I am doing 4 man challenge.

Valerie buffed with tons of shit makes the guy miss everything, while she sucks so she also misses everything... That lasts for a while until your buffs start falling apart and the guy wrecks her.
Not sure im supposed to win this one.

Aviaries, mountain-climbing, artisan quest items early via Sweet Teeth, decent chunks of EXP. Definitely worth it.

I can't blame them. Pathfinder is a really big game. One single playthrough can cost you over one hundred hours.
