Aren't Mirror Image + Blur not enough? Or Mirror Image + Displacement from someone?

Image helps but not on a pincushion. Displacement is impractical for non-Boss fights until he already has Heavy (I also have him Crane Wing the hard way). Image is for catching crits, not 10s.

Build him to be a late game beast. His Cloak is really good.

You’re not forced to do anything. I tried to force myself not to use Jub (no Fast Bombs version) and failed. He’s that good.

If you want your Amiri to live let Jub put a Shield and max Barkskin on her.

You could have done that in 3.5. The feat you are looking for is "Monkey Grip".

I mean, most of us here have over a thousand hours, and have beaten the game multiple times. Not much else to do. I've been working on my unfair iron man playthrough, but besides that, there isn't much to really talk about or do.

My optimal rout is:
0. Switch off both types xp sharing
1. Get MC + 3 after prologue, MC hoards xp from all possible skill checks.
2. Clean top map of Old Sycamore before mites and kobolds appear. Some animal packs there will be forever lost afer plot kicks in.
3. Get +1 from Ancient Tomb with xp sharing ON. This way new companion xp = MC xp, so I usually recruit level 5 char here.
4. Clean everything doable on map.
5. Get +1 level 5 Tristian from the Temple of the Elk.
6. Get +2 level 5 Octavia & Regongar.
7.* Clean Sycamore's dungeon.

This leaves only one sacrificial underleveled companion in kobold prison who has no place in my party composition. Usually Harrim.

Sound like abusing game options instead of normal play. Also you are reducing intended game difficulty for this part of the game. You might as well set the game to Easy difficulty instead of doing these shenanigans.
