Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Guess that's alright then, still, not sure implementing UMD per PNP is worth it atm without adding tons of restricted items

Another thing to consider is that most items has double class + alignment restrictions (monk robes), and this puts DC late 20s and 30s for such items, afair from NWN. This limits applications even more when implemented as per PnP.

What you did was bragging about how you found a clever way to level up faster, I just pointed out there is nothing clever about it as it is just lowering difficulty in game's own difficulty option screen.

Difference in xp sharing option for inactive companions is almost neglectable when you do 4 > 6 man party in long run.

Keeping it off and "Only skill user gets xp" always on, without runtime changes, will produce 95+% of same result and should fit your bragging-allowed criteria.

But this kind of battle is difficult to win:

- at first changing options is not nice
- than you abused Deadly Earth and no longer qualify
- and no, modded Unfair is no longer Unfair
- Vivi fans also should not apply, one level dip is cancer
- Communal Delay Poison is implemented wrong, so all fans of Stinking Cloud are almost cheaters
- and those who like summons are abusers of faulty AI
-... Maybe we should exclude everyone with DLC too, they got more money and xp, it is P2W!
Although Vivi and Deadly Earth are pretty OP they are still part of the game's ruleset and play. Changing difficulty in options is not.

As for modding, finishing Unfair with mods should be mentioned if anyone wants to brag about it. Especially if they make the game easier like TB mod does.

Yeah but atm in the game there's what, 10~ items with restriction? A few robes, the pal armor, a chaotic ring, a pal cloak ....
Even tho for some the UMD check would be very high, adding new restricted items would not be limited to UMD users.... just niche builds , such as a mace of righteous bitch slappin Loyal good only

yeah UMD is only for classes, races and alignement iirc

The pal armor is the one giving + 3wisdom ?

2 Wis, 2 CHR, 2 Smites

That's kinda trash, bonus is enhancement .... when do you get it ?!

It's fine. Extra smites are nice for Hospitaler. My MC Hospitaler (built to use this armor) used it until Battlemaster.

Frees up head slot for Dorf Relic Helm. Too bad Harrim can't wear it. Main problem is shortage of Good melee characters in game.

There's a ring for each alignment (law, neutral, chaotic).

Yeah for an early game item it's solid, it gets outclassed pretty fast tho no?

Not for a Hospitaler MC (needs the Smites).

Guess then at first I'll add new restricted item, then see if there's a need for UMD revamp .....

It's just I fondly remember UMD in NWN/NWN2 :negative:

I think developers are of the traditional restricted items mindset, since it works nicely in CRPG. Which is why UMD doesn't work as in PnP.

I don't like messing with maincampaign balance/stuff, I'd rather add an upgraded version at some point for later chapters
Well by that point it won't be needed anymore.

Member it's in same dungeon where you get +3 FOA mace and Devourer of Metal.

I loooooove restricted items, but more than that are the items with drawback(s) I'm a sucker for ! (applies to skills/spells too)

Dip Vivi all you like!

The rest of the above list is an artifact of the original devs moving onto other things before their game was perfected. It's the usual tuning. I'd add Sword Saint.

Still plenty that you can do to give you a well earned feeling of mastery over the game as designed.

I don't even know why I'm bothering with this, I hate the fucking campaign and only want to tweak Beneath the stolen lands ...

I need to remind myself that I shall not be a bitch that fixes every godamn problem this game has

Yeah the itemisation is fucked, blessed path aint the problem devourer of metal is

Even Devourer is something of a challenge. The -1 to hit is a bear on iteratives unless you've got a good supporting cast. That's why InEffect was dumbfounded that I was giving Ekun 8 levels of Huntmaster. The subtext was that he was having trouble hitting with Devourer will full BAB.

Yeah maybe at some point I'll do some balance/difficulty mod to tone down a bit the munchkin-ness

this patch TO-DO first items would probably be:

- Cap AC limit of monk stats to ac per monk level
- Gimp Asimaars

hang vivi dippers
And don't forget cat-lovers. Multi everyone into pet class with Smilodon, and broken, immortal, improperly implemented kitties with 5 full BAB attacks will get undeserving through Unfair.

It does take some skill to make those attacks do more than tickle, and it’s not trivial to keep them up to speed endgame. Plus logjams in Tombs and Palaces, needing Jub along, etc...

Meh. They cancel out the unevenness of Unfair difficulty, since they’re at their best when Unfair is hardest. I’ll give ‘em a pass.

Aasimars are already gimped. Feats > stats. Monk AC cap is Gold. Likewise for Pal Saves.
