Is it possible to tank Unfair with Harrim and Valerie without any respecs? I am watching an amazing playthrough of Pink Eye, and I find Linzi multiclass into Fighter abhorrent.

Man I don't know how you tank on unfair without mirror image or just a shitton of micromanage.

As others have said you can go with pets but damn that's a lot of buffing for every fight.

Man I don't know how you tank on unfair without mirror image or just a shitton of micromanage.

As others have said you can go with pets but damn that's a lot of buffing for every fight.

Buffs are long lasting.

What's wrong with them? You follow the action in the combat log and autopause stops things when something important happens. Or you can advance frame by frame with v key if you prefer.

I just don't feel like Excel and cough syrup make a good combination.

Desiderius What was that spellcaster build you had for Valerie?

Bard or Feyspeaker. Her one lvl of TSS is fine since there are some solid Tower Shields as the game goes on and Bards and Druids can cast with one on. Lets you use best available weapon too until you get a good Bastard Sword.

Yes. That one. The feyspeaker.

I mean you buff once per map and they last for most of the fights. Buffs like Barkskin lasts for all of them. Most of the annoying buffs you only need for boss fights.

Once you figure out the travel mechanics you'll feel pretty dumb. We all went through it. Learning is fun.

TB alleviates this issue but the UI for displaying saving throws is terrible cause of all that overlap. That hasn't been fixed.

So what are your suggested unfair pets? My last unfair attempt I had a Smilodon (Mad dog/Sacred Huntsman) a Mastodon (Animal Domain) and those fuckers were always going down. Leopards better?

edit: Or is all about buffing? CotW mod adds items to pets so that must make it easier as well.

Smilodon pet wrecked everything so much I got bored right around the time she was hitting the point of the whole build which was lvl 13 double displacer beast. One tip is to buy a suit of plate and keep it on once you add the first druid level because you might not find anything that good for awhile.

In case you're curious, when I play I travel around with medium/high carry load. But this is entirely irrelevant to what I said.

Mirror Image is a big help. Val Feyspeaker gets it at lvl 7, at which point it does give you six minutes duration. Val Bard gets it at lvl 4.

Linzi suuuuuuucks. Jub is OK. Did need to add a freebooter to my party though. Think on my next unfair run my monk/2HF is going to go to monk/Freebooter.

It doesn't hinder anything mechanically relevant. It just adds additional tedium to the worst aspect of all cRPGs, the map travel.
