Not gonna lie I suffer from the same problems. Generally as long as I only pick up masterwork or magical items I've found I'm OK. The one exception was doing Vordakai's Tomb, there are no vendors on that half of the map so I ended up with nearly 4000lbs of gearearly game + compulsive looter behavior: they see a piece of wood that weighs 150 pounds and sells for half a gold, they gotta loot itJust buy a couple of bags of holding from vendors and you'll be fine?
Guys, remind me, are there any good spears in Kingmaker? Got a fighter I'll be taking the first Weapons Training in Large Blades, but for the second I'm hedging between something with spears or maces. I'd like to go with spears for fun, and I'd especially like a Longspear for the reach, but I know there are some excellent maces in the game and plenty of skellies to apply them to...
Well, people are of all sorts.I see that the button "Sort by Weight" is too obscure for tabletoppers.
What about the concept of sorting in general?
There's like, one slightly above average one. Pretty bad selection overall.Guys, remind me, are there any good spears in Kingmaker? Yeah typed DR is a major fail in Pathfinder honestly. It could have been a major contributing factor to weapon variety but instead it ends up being trivial.Guys, remind me, are there any good spears in Kingmaker? Umm, why should you care about skellies? Their warriors have like 5 DR/bludge, which is nothing (a non issue by level 3 or so). And I think they are like the only enemies where a bludgeon would slightly help. And there aren't many of them.
Forget spears, forget maces. If you want a reach weapon, a fauchard is your best bet. Though a Glaive or Bardiche might be passable, if you don't want to use the feat.

Thanks, maybe not worth it then. I don't recall anymore, but I think all of these, Glaive, Bardiche and Fauchard, should fall under the same Weapons Training group. Maybe not Longspear, I'll have to see when I get the feat. There's like, one slightly above average one. Pretty bad selection overall.
If you choose Vordakai, do you just miss out on all the imported Varnhold's Lot items?
Any straightforward way to work around this?
Not just adding the items, but visiting Lostlarn too.
Serpent Prince (Fauchard) is one of the best weapons in the game. Better if you're using Craft Magic Items and can make it a +5 weapon.Umm, why should you care about skellies? P.S. Regarding maces, I recall there being a couple of really nice ones you come across easily. A +2 with Freedom from Hragulka, and an evil +4 one later on in Pitax.
Cheers. In the long run, I'll be going for the Thundering Claw of the Bear God scimitar as a main, but I'll have to see if I can spare a feat for Fauchard. If not, will stick to Glaive or Bardiche. I'm really curious to see how Reach weapons handle in PFKM TB, seeing as I had a lot of fun with a Glaive in ToEE.Serpent Prince (Fauchard) is one of the best weapons in the game. There's a very good Bardiche but it's a little late in the game.
The best Glaive is good against Evil enemies mostly, it's pretty good though - again quite a late one.

That's encouraging. I wasn't planning on a new Fighter campaign, but I came upon this portrait that was practically begging for it. Dialogue's already paying dividends...They're extremely good, especially enlarged, to the point where non-reach feels lame.
Will keep it in mind, thanks. On a tangent, this is one of those things I really like about the game - it's byzantine enough that it's easy to forget who and what when you replay a few months apart.Gargaune I can certainly advocate for polearms. I used Fauchards on my slayer, and it was glorious. AoO and sneak attacks all over the battlefield. Worked well for combat maneuvers too.
NOTE: Pretty much any worthy fauchard is gated behind kingdom artisans. If you want them, you need to be proactive with getting your exotic artisan in order ASAP. If you do things correctly, you'll get one by chapter 3. Prior to that, it's probably going to be a particular +2 flaming glaive. Plan accordingly.
That portrait looks awesome, can i get the source on it? I'm not getting any luck looking for it.That's encouraging. Vlad and its variants are a common name in Eastern Europe.Thought Vladislav was supposed to be a parody of Slavic names, looked it up and apparently it's real and the name of a few kings. Wow.
