Anyone rolled a druid? not sure which animal companion to take.

Smilodon for 5 attacks at level 1
I dunno, I think Wolf is pretty interesting, especially on Hard+ where it's important to debuff enemies. Since companion grows to larger size as you level up, and Animal Growth doubles on that, you could probably stunlock-trip dragons lol.

Since poison is quite powerful in this game, going Nausicaa might also be fun with a giant centipede.

Smilodon has been an effective damage dealer up to this point (I have just earned my barony at lvl 4) but I am starting to think some utility might have been more interesting.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I can't continue. My kingdom gets destroyed if I rest.
People on steam forums are saying that turning kingdom management to auto will prevent the game from ending. But once turned on, auto kingdom management can't be turned off.
For those that don't believe me. This is a SUCCESSFUL event. It really is the shit "you lose" type.
Sc6yGTM.jpg

(stats are cheated to survive the Troll Rampage event)
i guess is something like "a troll rampange can't be a positive thing" so a success mean minimize the damage, you stopped the trolls army after 3 villages are destroyed and razed instead of 10 villages.
It is a dick move to include something like that in the game. "Tails I win, heads you lose".

Troll rampage is suppose to be a game ending event, which only happens when you took too long to defeat the troll king. It's basically a time limit for chapter 2.

Which is bullshit, first off. Second, it was barely 1 month or two. Really? You gonna penalize the player for doing sidequests? Thirdly, you get TWO Troll Raids per month, then you get Troll Rampages. Like, this is just bad. It should have been noted somewhere that this must be done quickly, never was. Especially since the Troll Questline has the lost kid, the wizard guy and many more. That's bad design from the get-go. Fourth, I killed the king and still got the events for the Troll Rampage. What's the excuse there? Fifth, I have enough stats to withstand -5 to stats or even that -15 penalty, so it's another shitty design. This is just "you lose" event, while it should not be so.

Time limit on a game like this is a good reason not to get the game. Seriously. It is like that bloody monster on SkiFree.

There are people on steam saying they kill the troll king and still get a troll rampage, it should be a bug.

Also I don't like this crap either, you get very little BP every week to build your kingdom, but you get a time cap on both chapter 2 and chapter 3(not sure about later chapters). The worst part is you don't know how long the time cap is. They didn't tell you anything about it.

and what the fuck were you doing during those troll raid months?
I was far away when every time a crisis happened, dropped everything, resolved story , took 2 negative stat hits as worst

If you complete chapters, do their respective side quests vanish from journal?

There are some time limited quest(and just like the troll rampage thing, they don't tell you about it), but most of the quests seems to be fine.

It took me 3 minutes to kill this bitch. All party members are permanently blind (4 of them actually). AC37 *sigh*
Stop your whining people, that was easy battle. All you had to do is go in the lower left corner and have better coverage while diminishing the flanking opportunity for the enemies. When this one is the only one left, swarm her. You will see enough misses to make you wonder about life choices, but she doesn't do much damage.

Oh and weren't you also the one of those that mocked casualtards?!?!?!?!
Git gud nigga!!!

Nothing similar to "Favored soul" in NWN2 here yet...? Not an expert on the character creation yet. I really like spontaneous divine casters in games like these, like just strapping on some metal armor and hurl around spells at will (not that fan of fiddling around in the spell-book...) Maybe bard is the closest thing as it stands now then, because they can wear some armor and cast spells at will? Whether it's divine or arcane spells is not that important. Appreciate some advice here from those of you with heavy character creation experience ;)

Sorcerer is the classic archetype of that...

Favoured Soul and Spirit Shaman were the Cleric and Druid analogs and came much later.

Then came the classic arcane specialist analogs: Warmage, Dread Necromancer and Beguiler.

All are 3.5. Paizotards would probably find them overpowered and cry munchkin.

Stuck at the lizardfolk village. I talked to the boy, exhausted all options, he had the king run in and there's no new options. Went and talked to everyone on the map and nothing. What am I supposed to do?
First you have to pass an arcane check, after than.
You get the dialogue option to cast glamour dust or whatever its name was, after that you fight wisp.
I personally killed all the retarded lizards, torturing one of my people......buahahahaha lizard meat for everyone!

Since the game is lacking in the portrait depatment, i'm wasting time waiting for the (likely 20 GB or sth) patch looking for pictures. Here is a nice druid one, who doesn't look like the standard trope "let me chain myself to the tree in protest" wimp. Art by Tomas Duchek - all of his portraits are good, really.

You have to do the troll trouble quest first , no more trolls bad events, then you can do the side quests till the next main quest appears.Always do the emergency first, it makes sense.Same when your capital get invaded , its a good idea to do side quests later too. It's as if the game wants you to make tactical choices and prepare your journey, ah those rpg games are really odd things...

They are pretty lax when it come to the timer. As for the quests....well your kingdom is ravaged by beasts, plagues and trolls.....you shouldn't be going around picking flowers for your favourite alchemist. You could finish those quests in a week or so. Just get to it and enjoy the peace after it.

Pathfinder has the Oracle, a Favored Soul on steroids. Sadly it's not in the game yet, though when they get around on making DLCs I expect this will be one of the first things added. What is in the game is the Inquisitor - kind of a divine bard equivalent. Not a full caster, but closest to what you want.

Also, some prepared caster classes (like the witch or the magus) in Pathfinder can be made into spontaneous instead with the right archetypes, either intelligence or charisma based. Of these only one is in the game so far, the Eldritch Scion Magus.

Nevermind the PF combat, I got that down.

Does anyone have any tips to Kingdom management? I just started and feel a bit lost.

Well I guess I'm done with the game for now. The further you get the more bugged it gets, at this point I have two companion quests (one of them tied to the main quest) and one kingdom progression quest that I can't finish, also there's a bunch of people stuck in my throne room (that I can't get rid of) from management related interactions.

Gonna wait for ultimate edition, or at least for a first expansion/DLC. They are releasing patches on daily basis, so hopefully things will get better soon enough.

Divinity: Original Sin
I'm having a lot of fun with the game. However i still think i will put the game on hold for a week or two. Credit to them for releasing the hotfix patches but twice i have had to restart due to being unable to progress further. A couple of quests simply dont work the right way and some other minor things... Worst one is probably the invisible, invincible troll that followed me around (and no reloading or restarting did not fix it). Also the "treasurer" never spawned (yes i know where to get him). Also the game deleted a couple of saves but that did not mater to much as the save was like 1 min behind.

Still highly recommended to anyone that like this style of game. I know not everyone have run into these issues.

I will just wait for a bit so i dont burn myself out due to the bugs and wait for a few more of the fixes.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Need help with a quest!

It has to do with a certain wizard that don't like trolls that much.

I saved him from the troll attack, but something got stolen from him. Now I'm supposed to find it and he marked the location on my map. But I can't find it on the map? And there is no info about it in the journal (that actually happens regulary in this game).
