Why would you lug around 30 provisions? You at most need 12-18 per biggest most difficult dungeons. The rest you can just hunt for/quickrest on world map.

I hope you guys do not collect all the hide armors and masterwork kobold spears as well and only take gems and shit, right?
Well you could never know. I do go for a month long expeditions, like the one in the mountains :). There are quite a few dungeons hat you find, also some times you to get fewer rations from hunting than needed.

Actually keeping 12-15 camping supplies all the time is a sound idea.

My friend who is hard to make play anything and never played PoE etc. plays and shouts stuff like "kobolds in the mines, oh my 20 yo youth where are thou"
- So what did you think about super bear
- What bear
- One in camp
- You mean owlbear?
- Ye they say he has high stats
- Well I just turned it against enemy camp, it basically killed half the camp by itself. isn't he there to help you fight the bandits?
- B-but. muh steam reviews. muh inflated stats--
- Well they give you an owlbear, you use the owlbear. Party killed Staglord, bear tanked everything. I wanted to sacrifice him but he just lol survived and then went back into the forest. Which is why I named my barony after him.
- Named like how?
- "Sovuha". (Совуха) (сова = owl) since on russian in the game he is named "Sovuh".

Nice. When I reach this quest with my Blackadder character, I want to win the barony in the most absurd way possible.

Tweaking all encounters for harder difficulties would be even more fun, but the amount of work required would be insane since it's effectively a 150+ hours game at this point.

It would and it is, but that's why I defend PotD. Dunno about Deadfire yet, but that's pretty much what PotD does, especially on White March. And the lesson is of course even older than that - like I state in my review, it's all down to Swordcoast Stratagems and DaveW, showing that iteration, AI and cleverly thought out abilities and defenses where AI won't cut it gives the ultimate difficulty-experience. (Not saying you have to agree with the systems-logic of Sawyer at all here of course, just trying to say that Pathfinder would probably be even better keeping a modicum of the stats inflation and focusing on more, thougher and more clever enemies instead - though I will come back and argue this point in more detail once I have played it as extensively as you, of course.)

TBH Pathfinder while not on the level of stratagems mages still has enemies brutally focusing down characters you don't want to lose and casters buffing the hell out of their allies, so it's not that bad on that front. And of course it has all the "unfair" encounters and hard counters and systems to back it up.

PoE I don't even take it seriously compared to PK even in its most raw on release state.

In Deadfire I remember vampires, that is it.

In PK even in prologue I at least had that "deadfire vampires" feel 5 times or so.

Check my edit to the stat-boosting discussion. Apparantly it's actually in line with Paizo rules.

EDIT: Grampy_Bone - yeah realised it right after I posted. I never played with those rules, but there you have it.

Funny, years ago we with Friend were running a game for some folk and decided against this.

Really interesting. Then I guess fixing some companions with 70k gold +6 to INT/WIS/CHA bands is a solid plan.

Does the feat deactivate if you remove the item as it apparantly should per RAW?

Wouldn't know since I did not do it. But I did add extra spell slots for my Valygar with WIS band since he could not cast level 2 spells. Removing it obviously removes spells.

Yep. I knew about that feature (enhanced stats allowing feats), I even reported it as a "bug/feature?" on Steam days ago, but decided against exploiting it.

The further I get, the harder it is to defend the bugginess though. Basic things that any QA testing would have marked as a problem show up all the time. I wish they had just delayed release a bit to make it more stable; I think that would have helped a lot with the reviews.

"There's only one rule: Be nice*."
*'nice' as defined arbitrarily by me, subject to the following clauses at my whim, topics I disagree with are inflammatory, have a nice day.

What an absolute fucking potato. This is literally the opposite of good community management.
