Also dev senpai noticed me and told me that they will fix Pitax to circumvent it they suggested to spare leader Ilora Nuski.

Fuck it, I remade my Cleric into a Lawful Good Cleric of Erastil.

He's got the Community and Animal domains, so he gets a pet, and that overpowered-as-fuck Guarded Hearth ability.

You did this to me Owlcat! Curse you!

Ok so I extracted all the female voices, here's an attempt at a description of what they sound like:

Aggressive: pretty much always sounds angry or annoyed, sounds like Amiri somewhat, a bit shrill
Brave: sounds like an older type, quite a soft voice, generally quite calm, a little annoying
Confident: quite an attractive voice, a mid-20s woman maybe, sounds a bit haughty and independent
Reserved: another one with an attractive voice, mid-20s again, seems intelligent and cautious
Madman: lively and energetic voice, quite nice, definitely mad/chaotic as the name suggests
Pragmatic: sounds very cunning and cautious, quite a nice voice, not as nice as the previous ones. very self-assured
Pious: very dramatic voice, righteous, youngish. the sort of voice that makes you want to leave the room ASAP

I recommend Confident, Reserved and Madman over the others.

For the male voices, there isn't really a good one for Dwarves, but Brave is could work, Aggressive could work for a Dwarven Berserker or something.

Oh and while we're on the subject of making characters, there is quite a useful bug in the game when creating Mercs:

1) Go to create a Merc, make sure you haven't levelled up yet!
2) Merc costs 500g, don't actually complete the Merc though
3) Exit out of Merc creation screen
4) Go back to Merc creation, finish it
5) Check your gold, it should have cost about 1/5 of what it normally costs

Hotfix -

We have a very small hot-fix to update 1.1, which brings these changes/fixes:

  • Сut-scene in Pitax could freeze under certain conditions. Resolution: fixed.
  • Cut-scene with Tristian was triggering every time after players tried to get out of the Capital. Resolution: fixed.
  • Triggering Rest could make the game freeze in some cases. Resolution: some improvements were applied to prevent this issue.

Eh? No, normally it costs 500g for a Merc at level 1, but if you use this method, it costs about... I dunno, 70g?

I think you have to get a few screens in, though. I dunno, it worked for my first 4 characters, and then the last one cost the full 500g for some reason.

i didnt check myself but a lot of people were reporting actual cost of mercenaries were less than stated.

Haven't tried post-patch, but previously, even if it said it cost 500gp, it only cost 200 to make the merc.

I have some questions if anyone can answer.

1 - Dragon Disciple, Grow Claws. Whenever I use this in combat I just end up attacking a second time with my main weapon it looks like. Do you have to be unarmed to use these, or am I missing something here? Combat log also doesn't show any claw attacks, just my weapon (also wearing a shield).

2 - Are the storyteller items and artifacts hand-placed on maps? So if you miss a Perception check on a map you would have to go back later and try it again? Or are they randomized and eventually you find them all? Act 4 and I've only heard 2 stories so far, and haven't had him craft me anything yet.

3 - Overhead Chop seems bugged. Can anyone test it on 1.1 to see if it's working? I heard it only works on Charge attacks, but why? I'm trying to give it to Amiri so she rolls double her strength bonus on attacks with her glaive but it doesn't register as that in the combat log.

4 - Anyone using mods to increase EXP to reach level 20 by end-game? If so, do they make the game considerably easier or is there no difficulty difference? I want to keep it challenging and my party is pretty tough right now as-is, but only level 11 and thinking of using the mod...

2 - Yes, they are hand placed. There were some that were missing from the map though, I think 1.1 added them all in now.

4 - I wouldn't bother, I hit 18 at the end of Chapter 5 and didn't level up again. I think a full party at level 20 would be too easy.

i tried having fixed %20 xp boost.. im not sure how it works but im a good 2 levels higher than normal.
makes a big difference from in all levels of content. i certainly wont touch that next character

Yeah you fixed it alright you dumbfucks, now it doesn't work with the weapons it's supposed to work with, like daggers.

Edit: my bad, I made a mistake. I thought it worked with anything that a Monk was proficient with, but actually it's a special quality that the weapon has, which.. for some strange reason, is an entirely different subset to the ones that the Monk is proficient with. Forgive me Owlcat.

I actually made a mistake, heh. I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you quoting me! I'm still sore about the Cleric thing I guess.

I just managed to complete the spider swarm cave. Good stuff, really challenging. Had to try it quite a few times before I managed it.

9 Strength was a mistake. Beelining for that Agile Light Pick now.

I have noticed that GPU is always running at 100% even in the main menu

It is a bug - game resets to 8xAA on each restart (even if it says off/2x/4x). Hence 100% gpu load.

Try turning it off and applying, then set desired antialiasing.
Maybe its somehow related to "game could load longer for first time" message everytime you run PF.
