40 USD is effing 220 in my local currency, basically 1/5 of the minimum wage (which is approximately 1050). That alone would be insane, pay that much just to play a game, but 100? That's literally half the income. Nah, the way is to wait for the game to come out at STEAM (or even GOG, who knows) offering an adjusted value here for the region, or sail the high seas.

I usually play at least to level 7. Those that I like I then finish out the game with. Not a fan of moronic "The build really comes online at level 17!" Sadomasochism. Character should have a good power curve and be fun to play throughout.

There are quite a few people here, on the Codex, that have bought into the beta, including myself. I will post a summary of my thoughts (mostly the negative ones) for your viewing pleasure. Calm your titties.

Also, for those that are asking themselves, why the negative ones, well it's because if they eliminate as many issues as possible, what remains is the good. Since I've invested money into this project, I am personally invested in its well-being.

Baldur's Gate didn't have romances until desperate modders (and deeply terrible writers) added them in. (BG2 was the first game in the series to have them.) No wonder that choice is losing in the poll.

Romance is by far the most pointless aspect of a RPG for me. If it's like a plot point, you know like your love was kidnapped/killed and you are avenging them, that's cool. But actually romancing and screwing in-game npc's is a complete wasted of gameplay and effort.
