Because of this odd distribution I have some trouble with covering for some skills actually. Woljif becomes more or less a must have, either it's him or furry. I dumped Larian or whatshisname and Cam has pretty average WIS.

Thankfully I have WIS myself but it doesn't feel that companions cover skills as well as in PKM.

Muh party is Seelah (no high dex int or wis) Wenduag (high dex, no high mental stats) Woljif (a 20 int crutch) Deiran (no high int medium wis 20 charisma no strength) and Ember (no str int wis again)

Why is her Slumber affecting mind immune creatures? by PNP it should be normal Sleep.


Game greatly overuses particle effects and shaders(?) (fire fog heat etc.) which with 3d camera nukes FPS at places. Previous game ran flawlessly for me.

She has way better things to be doing than attacking with weapons. Point Blank/Precise is for all her Ray spells (that I don’t use much either, although Snowball spam is solid).

DEX melee is pure decline, even in DnD 5e it's so prevalent.

It's not as bad as it looks at first. You don't get a Bard this time around so you're going to have an INT class around if you want any Arcane. That means MC, Nenio, or Wolj. If you roll a Bard yourself or make Seelah a Bard then your Bard covers Knowledge because Bardic Knowledge. They even tack some random Knowledge on Seelah and Daeran if you're determined to have a Dumb party.

Grease is fine it's very smal radii. But say Entangle is a) big and b) has new special effect I think, which makes it look like well shit.

infinite single target hexes per rest is new caster autocast meta. reroll your rerolls.

Grease is also pain. Just use Pits they're rnd/lvl.

Owlcat designers fall into two categories: PnPers and Theorycrafters. Neither one has much time for testing a cRPG. Even their own.

Daeran is a fucking great healbot and there's some rings u can give him that allow spontaneous casters to cast stuff like fireballs and shit.

I am sure this is not optimal but I just give him more channeling, he has mythic channeling. With boundless healing too he lets me be lazy.

I haven't used Sosiel or Ember much.

I went trickster too, the persuasion feat where you demoralise all opponents on combat start is sweet.

Give Daeran Spell Focus:Evocation and Spell Pen so you can get Mythic Versions eventually. Makes his passive Archon’s Aura much better even if you’re just spamming Channels. There are a lot of good narrow Evo damage spells that work well in this setting when you get tired of healing.

Anti-PoE balancing is always the right thing to go in a single player RPG.

That's the strange thing about the Aeon Path. It's based on the 2ed fluff (Law Keepers) but the story seems to be tailored to their 1ed iteration (Balance Keepers). Also, quite the irony that

Areelu is lurking around a lot more in Beta. My guess is at some point she’ll reveal that she gave you the Mythic powers to be her puppet and if you want to break free you have to let them go and become Legend.

I’ll have difficulty ever resisting this.
