So what is the source of OP items in this game as the artisans are in Kingmaker? Crafting? Market? Exploration and loot? Anything else?

I am still in the Maze of Shields, so spoilers are not encouraged, though unavoidable.

Not so much OP as really, really well-designed build around. They come from a variety of sources.

I feel like it's a good solution for owl Cat. They Can appeal to people who want more while also appealing to the spider swarm haters.

Time for some Pain (this is on Core because no Bard or Freebooter, but may be time to kick it up to Hard):

Scouting Lann found a Trap near where Boss is suspected, Nenio puts MC undercover, he takes care of it. But something is looming there in the dark. Just after this pic Incubus patrol isn't fooled by crappy MC Stealth (that is already being changed) and combat starts prematurely.

Boss Dimension Doors into my back lines and has his way with poor Ember who flees. This fight would have been much harder but I smoked out the three lurking Will o Wisps earlier with See Invis Communal that I keep always up.

Level 19 prebuffed teleporter is a nice challenge for my level seven party. This is first time I've been here before Chapel, and last time I was here he got me pretty good. But I'm a better player now. Strategic Displacement doesn't work here but ends up keeping Seelah's Smilo alive. Imagine this guy with Hard stats.

Cannibal chick doesn't get Free Action Perfect Strike/Lvl to make sure she hits shit. Auto Bomb not a good idea for Boss Fights when whole point of using Bombs was to hit tough bosses.

Sosiel got the other Displacement for just this situation. Prayer is very good but it will generate heat.

Single Class Seelah was made for this shit. Eagle's Splendor for Fat Smite. Divine Favor not there yet because she's late caster but it ticks up every three levels, Retrievers Claw for x3 Crit Multiplier. That +3 is from Crusader's Edge Outsider Bane + Magical Weapon Greater which ticks up next level. Took Dazzling Display over Outflank at lvl 7. STR is Bull's STR + Enlarge Person.

Ember chipping in once she got clear with the Fortune Hex which turned another miss into a hit. That's 1440 EXP each getting us to the brink of sweet level eight. I don't know why Incubus is Immune to Pattern but he's the first Demon who is.

This on the other hand is just dumb. That 60 is headed north now that I just figured out that Enlarge Person works and his monk dice just ticked up at level eight:

Note that Flurry goes away sometimes and you have to change equipment then change it back to turn it on.

Pretty Schmoove reward for killing the Pain, especially since you have two different DEX-based companions with Medium Armor proficiency. They'll be loving that Mithril.

The most important level in the game:

MC picks up AA, Greater to boost Roguery and put some skill points into Stealth. Preservationist Archetype showing up for first time with a pretty good summon. Real benefit will be at lvl four and five which tend to be barren levels for Alchemist Spellbook. Notice how it skips a level up to four. It keeps doing that.

Also pick up first Bomb that can bypass DR. If you've ever been Slowed you know how good Staggered is. Will pick up Force Bombs next for non-Evil foes. But with Touch attack and sky-high DCs and bypassing Spell Resistance and DR these things will be boss killers.

Note: had I taken a splash I would be getting none of this now.

Seelah gets Charm protection. Looks like maybe I took Shatter at seven instead of Outflank? Going to need to get lucky to Intimidate this boss without Intimidating Prowess or Skill Focus Persuasion.

Sos's base Wisdom just ticked up to 22. With Owl's he'll be at 26, so this Swift Charm will have 22 DC.

Nenio gets free Greater Invis. Too bad no Sneaks. It will help her land her Blinding Ray and Ray spells tho. And not get ganked by teleporting bosses.

Ember gets -4 to Saves no Save or Resistance Evil Eye, and infinite Wolves boosted by Superior Summoning and Mythic Summoning.

Don't miss this lying around during Garg Ambush.

to me it just seems like because there is barely any build up in comparison to the other mythics they have to give legend something story wise, Legend has all the tropes presented in the Azata mythic but it's written poorly, going through the datamine in my eyes, the way it's written, Owlcat just wants you to pick a mythic they spent hours to write and program. Since the underlying issue of why you go legend is rather pointless if you do your actual mythic properly. Legend just seems to be the get out of jail card if you somehow screw up the mythic you chosen, at least in my opinion. In the end this all could be changed by the time release comes around.

It adds athletics skill rank to damage from charge, it's a pair of boots.

1/3 of Chapter 4 from what I can see is missing textures, the interiors are there but the exteriors are placeholders.

Very few classes need to actually specialize in a specific weapon. I don't know if they added some exotic stuff in WotR, but in Kingmaker basically only the Sword Saint had to choose a weapon and stick to it.

By people who can't understand that +2 to damage is a worthless feat.
