Pathfinder Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Beta Thread [GAME RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

Wendaug's romance end dialogue:

With a whistle, Wenduag looks around fearlessly. "So this is where we end up. Leaving Neatholm with you, I didn't think that I would find myself in the very heart of the Worldwound. You know how to have fun on a grand scale!"

"However, I feel kind of foolish... everyone is pathos-filled, preparing to take the final stand against the demonic invasion, to save Golarion. And for me, it’s just another fight that I’m going into because you brought me with you. Surprisingly, I got into such a crappy place and risk my head just because of an uplander... What a fool you are, Wenduag."

"Probably now is the time to thank you for that. After everything we've been through, it’s weird to think that I was going to live my whole life in the crappy dungeons of Kenabres. I know this isn’t going to sound crusader-like, but... betraying Hosilla was the best decision I ever made in my life."

"Remember, you promised that you wouldn’t leave me? Try to keep that promise, or I’ll be so angry with you... "

Wenduag grins merrily. "You're lost without your kisses! Okay, for the sake of such an occasion - hold on!" Her caress is inept, but full of predatory passion. Tearing away from you, she takes a breath, listens to her feelings and finally says: "No, after all, you uplanders are strange. I will never understand what you get from this. But if you like, I can kiss you after the victory. Once!"

"If both of us are alive, I will drag you into some secluded crevice, and you and I will celebrate
our victory. Many times in a row."

"And I love you." The haste with which these words escape Wenduag's lips makes her shudder and look at you in fright. "Remember, I will definitely survive this fight. Come on, don't die too, okay? Cause I swear I’m not gonna come down here and weep touchingly on your grave."

"Played he last joke."
"It's time to play the last joke, and I am its final line!"

Those are Trickster lines pertaining to closing the Worldwound, right next to the dialogue lines of other Paths. Seems like the speculations were correct, and a Trickster will either lose his powers, or simply die, if he seals the Worldwound.

EDIT: Umm... gentlemen,
it appears that choosing "close the Worldwound" for EVERY path means sacrificing your life.

No it doesn't, unless you finish your mythic route correctly and get the mythic ending or choose to

sacrifice Areelu instead.

On Areelu

she isn't a romance either, look in the files yourself instead of copy and pasting.

You forgot the option to just walk away.

You forgot the option to just walk away.

If you just

want to be an asshole and ignore the purpose of the game. But as you know, you have a lot of options in this game.

My point is verify what you post instead of just throwing it up, I personally prefer to look in the files myself (if I have the time) than just assume whatever someone posts is true. Even though many of the posts on 4chan are accurate since they have the keys attached to them.

You basically misinterpreted a datamine because of the translation issues between English and Russian.

save some for when you play?

You assume I care about the story in a great capacity, I do think if people are going to post spoilers, it should be tagged. In the end spoilers, mostly when it comes to video games doesn't really affect my own enjoyment of the game itself.

Also if swear if this turns into Another ME3 and GAMERGATEEEEEEEEE !!!! im just gonna shot somebody.

If only you (and tbf the millions like you) were as willing to hold accountable those responsible as you are those with the balls to try to do something, anything about it we wouldn't be be impotently subjected to this shit.

But you weren't so we all are. On the bright side you are on the team (go Global Finance!) that can shot somebody with impunity, so I guess fire when ready.

spoiling yourselves for no reason...
save some for when you play?

Thankfully it's subject to change and rife with disinformation.

How do you get past the rubble in the basement in the market square?

The one where a shadow demons deals cold damage when you try to clear it.

Wait... you think the story in this game is anything BUT generic? It's literally "Play as a Chosen One - and choose the flavour! ;)" the game. I would be MUCH more interested if they actually chose a single Mythic Path, and built the entire game around it. Imagine playing a tragic hero as a Swarm-That-Walks. Or Tyranny 2.0 as an Aeon.

Kingmaker needed mods to fix gameplay, this is going to need modded retranslation and rewrite.
I don't see problems with translation per se, it's actually better than Russian version - Russian one has more typos and mistakes, and is more sick with what I call эй ты а ну ка syndrome with a lot of particles and kitchen dialogue. The problem is with writing approach itself, especially Companions - for a line player says, NPCs say hundred; companions dump again all their text on you, most dialogue is exhausting options and thank them if they give you "can i go now" line at the end, because sometimes they do not. Game dialogue should be more to the point and direct.

realistic

Citation needed. Funders see how many people watch snuff films and sick shit. SJWs just useful idiots. Still a market for the good stuff too but Nash's Paradox.

A world without good is even less realistic than a world without evil.

To anyone having trouble with strong demons, try buffing yourselves with Crusader's Edge (Level 4 Cleric/Oracle spell). It really makes a world of difference.

Don't stop there. All that shitty narrow stuff in the Cleric spellbook isn't shitty anymore. These aren't Undead.

Someone help me make Woljif work, he feels weak.

Just wait for a re-specialisation mod, if having weak party members bothers you. Anyway Desiderius, do you know why Call of the Wild gives Jaethal 21 Dexterity, whilst draining Strength?

EDIT: No, Desiderius, I really want an explanation.

Cast on buffs (mage armor, shield, blur, mirror image) and micro manage him for sneak attacks? He is a beast both damage and tanking wise.

No micromanagement needed.

There’s this ability called Charge. It’s under the A button in the middle. Put it on your hotbar. Use it.

Wolj is so powerful I don’t use him anymore. He has literally everything.

I'm not feeling it on Core. His AC is not high enough to reliably not get hit, and his sneak attacks are lackluster due to gimped Eldritch Scoundrel progression. Only thing he gets extra are spells, but then again you can just replace him with Nenio.
Plus,
losing him for a while (Siege of Drezen / Lost Chapel)
pisses me off.

That’s his only weakness. That and his portrait. Have you not tried Mirror Image yet or something?

He comes with DEX to damage. Read Reduce Person. Cats Grace. Debilitating Strike. Uncanny Dodge. Once you hit level six you’ve got Vitals if you want even more Damage. You end up more Sneaks than Vivi.

Double Debilitation at level ten is where he gets completely ridiculous.

You’re not going to tank everything (I recommend you don’t tank anything). Even if you destroy your build for infinite AC there’s stuff with eight attacks per round. But he’s got enough to not worry about getting hit much while destroying about anything in a round or two.

Must be the fact that I'm a slow, defensive player in nature. Eh, don't know. I did do the stuff that you mentioned and it's not working out, I must have messed something up while building him. What feats did you give him?

Woljif is one of the best characters in the game, at first, I thought eldritch scoundrel was terrible, but after playing around with him he's really good. He literally has the sneak attacks and abilities of a rogue with access to arcane magic. So he has mirror image, shield, blur, displacement, sense vitals, Greater invisibility and so on. Let's not forget the archmage armour mythic ability, at that point you don't even have to worry about his AC all that much. Also I play on core if it adds anything to the discussion.

See above. Nothing complicated. You have spells and abilities. With Wolj especially you need to use them. If you're having trouble keeping him alive Protective Luck Hex also helps. Also everybody sucks until about level six.

Don't worry about it, just take your time and read the abilities and what the characters do. For example, many think the power of Lich is the undead summoning and negative energy blasting, it's not. I discovered this about a week ago, Lich can essentially turn your wizard into a frontline melee fighter who can cast level 9-10 spells. I played a wizard/Hellknight Signifier. No monk dipping, no vivi dips. By the end of chapter 3 he was a better tank than Camellia and can deal decent damage along with spells. It's similar to Vhane where some people feel his build is terrible failing to stop and realise that lich has a specific ability that buffs ALL undead under your control, which includes the npcs you turn into party members, along with mythic vital strike and a reach weapon, along with his warpriest buffs he was a great damage dealer and in turn can avoid damage.

What's the deal with the wardstone - using the non-mythic path option loses you the purple dagger, is that important later?

Or picking a specific path for that matter - on level up the same 6 are open regardless.
