I mean it is CG. CE would no doubt have more than six whole permutations.

I just figured you get your map out to figure out where you want to go, use your sextant figure out how to get there, then play your harp when you do.

Permutations itself is a big assumption though, length is another. Puzzle in shield maze has a repeated colour.

I play with the sound turned down since my youngest started crawling in my bed at night.

Yeah, it could have had combinations instead of permutations but that more a CN kind of trick. CG wants you to get it.

From a Russian interview with Owlcat today regarding MCA.

Nok-Nok was written a long time ago and it will always live on in Pathfinder: Kingmaker and in our hearts.

As for our collaboration on the new project - we really appreciate the contribution of Chris Avellon. Just like with the first game, Chris provided valuable commentary on the story, narrative design, editing and actively discussed the main concepts of the game with the lead writer and creative director. At the moment, his work on the game is complete.

Surprised that Paizo didn't step in to force Owlcat to throw him out.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Boy, that thiefling does so much damage as a rogue with his daggers compared to everyone else. Almost start to wonder why use anything else than rogues - but to be fair I had the same feeling in Kingmaker. The crit damage is just so insane compared to slow regular damage. Wish they would force you to be behind the target so it actually involves some tactics.

I did some story-related experimentation when playing as an Aeon, and discovered the following:
- The game constantly tracks just how "pure" of an Aeon are you.
- If you aren't "pure" enough, some story/dialogue choices will not appear at all, not even as "failed attempts" or bemoaning "oh, if only I could do X."
- Most of said choices aren't tagged by alignment as well, even if some of them obviously are good/neutral/evil.

There are a lot of regular sources too. Try Crusader's Edge and a Bard if you want to top up but each class has alot of their own too. Don't forget Enlarge and Bull's Strength with Power Attack. Adds up.

Wolj is so good because ES has all the defenses + Debilitation Strike and starts with DEX-to-damage. You need to get it on your other DEX characters by yourself and boost Lann's STR.

Where does this pop up? What can you miss?

The big two are xanthir and the traitor dwarf, right?

I never realised how soyed up this game is. I mean you start the game and immediately you meet 4 female characters. At the end of the first dungeon you are presented with a lesbian couple. And a bit later on with another female companion. Jeez they went overboard with this. No wonder you soyboys got triggered so hard.

Be sure to make the 50 Diplomacy check with one of the lesbians, in the throne room.

Clinically narcissism, sociopathy and psychopathy are the exact same thing. In RPGs we just use the term 'evil'.

Narcissism isn't just liking the sound of your own voice, but that is what narcissists want you to believe.

Irony is the song of a bird who has come to love its cage.

While he likes to add an ironic twist to his deeds the Trickster is essentially unironic since he manifests his will onto reality, making it bend to his whims. There is nothing ironic about his actions, he genuinely wants to create chaos.

In terms of mental illness Trickster would probably be some combination of ADHD and Schizophrenia.

Will = ~ Whims (Whims are thwarted Will, often self-thwarted). See Daeran. A hated cage is no better than a loved one if it's locked from the inside.

This is the underlying irony.

Getting close to the point where I've borked enough builds to wait for respec/start over, but first some good stuff from Drezen

No Agile Bite.jpg

Or not so good. First Nenio's Bite is not picking up the Good descriptor from the Hand of the Covenant item that the MC wears on her belt. Every other weapon is, that's why Nenio's Retriever's Claw hit doesn't say (reduced) next to it. Same problem with Shield Bashes. Nenio's wearing the Amulet of Agile Fists so it should be counting as Magic at least.

Notice also that despite having Weapon Finesse herself and wearing the Amulet of Agile Fists her Bite still uses STR for AB and damage. That's about the end of the road for this build without a respec or a bug fix if this is a bug.

NenioEdge.jpg

On the other she can use whatever Light Weapon you have laying around to good effect due to Crusader's Edge. If this is something I want to do a lot of with Nenio I should bring a Bard because Inspire Courage and Good Hope would be adding another 4 damage to all her hits.

NenioCrusadersEdge.jpg

Freebooter's Bane would be another 4 here etc, would be looking to use Agile Weapons to continue boosting her casting (her main job) with her Feats. Or since this MC is a Crusader could build the party for all buff and bash and use her Pounce.

NenioStudent.jpg

One option for that is the full BAB prestige class Student of War. Scroll Savant10/Student5 has the 10 BAB to take Pounce at level 15, and fits spectacularly well thematically. INT to AC lets you go STR-based (which you may need to if Bite is working as intended?) while pumping INT to keep your DCs up. Anticipate is pretty good in this setting with the Negative Channeling and whatnot.

Downsides are a couple relatively poor Feats for prereqs and lack of Spell Progression. Any level of Student dip does set you up for Eldritch Knight though which does continue your Spell Progression. EK's usually pretty bad but by Scroll Savant 10 you've already burned most of your Wiz bonus Feats.

EnforcerNenio.jpg

Another option is a level of the Arcane Enforcer Slayer archetype to give you Martial Proficiency, a full BAB level, and an Arcanist Exploit of your choice. There are some pretty nice ones.

NenioSplash.jpg

Studied Target + Charge is nice tempo for non-tank melee, then you've got 11 teleports* per rest as well. EK from here gets the Pounce at fifteen and only lose two levels of Spell Progression total. Dragonheir Scion is another option that gives you Arcane Strike or just Aldori Defender so you can use Dueling Swords and you get a Bonus Feat.

Lastly I feel like a Rogue4 splash gives you the full DEX-melee package (including Uncanny Dodge) while maybe letting you Finesse the Bite with Finesse Training?

All of this would be at level 11 and because Pounce is good and there are some situations that just aren't the best fit for your casting options since you start without the Ranged Feats.

* - moveaction Dimensional Slide for perfect placement, swiftaction Cold Ice Strike, standardaction Firesnake to trigger the Mythic that requires multiple elemental types sounds like a ton of fun.

** - Nenio needs this spell from CotW badly:

Back to the conquest of Drezen. Still learning all kinds of tricks fifth time through. First time on Hard though.

BigArmyBattleMath.jpg

The army battle to open the way. Those two units of 15 Clerics have been topping off stacks that get nicked up the whole game. Kepp 'em away from your archers. They've been toned down but are still valuable. These numbers were Financed by raiding the Northern Demon Armies before heading West to Drezen. Lowly Footmen take out big Derakni.

AngelCrusader.jpg

LG Angel Crusader I guess if we're ever leading the Charge this is the time.

Game says you get a Morale boost so maybe this option helps your armies.

MirrorSeelah.jpg

Seelah owning the UMD with help from Magician's Ring to use the Mirror Image Wand we found with that 32 Perception check at Daeran's house. Nenio has made her some scrolls for backup. This lets Seelah go two-handed for a big damage boost.

Upontheroof.jpg

We fight a couple battles heading toward the west then climb on a roof trying to get to the second level so we can get up ono the wall. No Hellknights this time but a contingent of Crusaders do follow you if you can keep them alive.

Nonselectivechanneling.jpg

Infinitron has kept his Channeling Non-Selective for this purpose. Spores are from the Vrocks on top of the Barracks roof we hopped over to with Lann's Leopard handling the Mobility check. You can cure Spores with Bless.

HighAxeonNabasu.jpg

Securing the high ground lets you rain down death from above. Especially this new to the Beta Throwing Axe that prevents retaliation. First time I've discovered this tactic and made heavy use of it.

Logjam.jpg

Dead end on the roof top means logjam heading down into the Barracks. Logjam for the bad guys too but Sosiel has Enlarged Reacharound and that Charming Smile. If you've got some logs you need jammed, Sos is your man.

Checkmate bigots!

Minotaur Decoy.jpg

Pretty sure you can just sneak to the right of this guy to get to the next level and the wall. He's bait for the five or six Wizards (one got Seelah in an Icy Prison) and Negative Channeling Cultists hiding behind him, all guarding the Temple which is another way up.

SeelahAthletics.jpg

That +2 Endurance is belated incline. Third level (!) Ranger ability that never did show up in P:K. Be careful if Seelah is your Athletics specialist and don't forget to put your armor back on. Need a healthy level of Athletics for Hard Parkour. As a Freebooter she also has Lead Blades to get that Blade up to a 4d6. Lustrous.

Lann Owning Vrock.jpg

Narrow formation for storming the wall. In the future may clear buildings first since these extra troops really gum things up on the wall. Ended up leading off with Nenio's 25 DC Rainbow Pattern then trying to race the Crusaders up onto the wall before they broke all the mezzes.

Lann the Druid does less damage than pure ZA but he still just shits out the crits with Aspect of Falcon and all the full attacks he gets from range.

Infinitron tanking giant.jpg

We wrap up this installment with Dwarven Crusader Infinitron finally fulfilling her destiny and pwning this Ash Giant one on one. Racial Bonus vs Giants unfortunately below the scroll, but it's there.

Demons hopes go up in Blood Mist.

Looking forward to it. I like the EScoundrel package in theory.

Still, claiming a (stunted) sneak attack dagger character deals more damage then optimized damage/crit builds just proves how little he's seen...

Not saying he will ever be outshined, but here in the beginning he does 3-4 times the damage of everyone else. While everyone have trouble fighting a demon, he just shiv the demon for maximum damage and it's over.
