I've been using Seelah to Cleave with a Leading Strike mythic ability, and I've liked the results...but I think I can do it better. I'm thinking Wide Sweep + full attacks will make sure that Leading Strike is almost always active for allies.

This is the kind of basic shit that you wonder WTF is going on. At least with Wiz7 the system was so opaque you couldn’t tell how badly you were being hosed.

a sword coast stratagems type of mod will upheave the game to the pantheon of crpgs, along baldurs gate 2.

Not sure I want a smarter Baphomet who, after auto-dispelling all of the Party's buffs, immediately hits you with some 60d6 AoE nuke instead of wasting a turn on Unholy Blight. Or a Playful Darkness that ignores Summons and goes straight for the PC.

In many cases, the enemy stat bloat is so insane that your only saving grace is that their AI is dumb.

I mean if you're aware that your one basic summon-buffing Feat isn't working you fix it right? And how could you possibly not be aware that your *one basic summon-buffing Feat* isn't working when you've got several archetypes and buildarounds that focus on Summoning?

Anyway another playthrough goes on ice. The long-awaited Nature's Agony fix does Necro this one tho:



The Divine Hunter (Pal) splash isn't great for a Bard/Caster but it's the only way to make the Staff Sling really work since it gives Precise Shot and Martial Prof (which allows Staff Sling for Halfling) at lvl one, freeing up subsequent Feats for Spell Pen + Greater Spell Pen and Evo Focus and Focus Greater. Late game can add the Second Pal level for Divine Grace.

Game has some good Slings but Nature's Agony is the one you want since it buffs Sonic DC. You can buy Agony at beginning of Ch 3. Relic to further buff Sonic DC available mid Ch3 also turns on damage for first lvl Ear-Piercing Scream which works well with a Max/Bolster/Empower Rod to add some damage to the Daze. Sonic Burst gets you AoE Stun and of course the Shouts (especially Ki Shout) are great. Supplement with Favorable Magic from Azata and eventually the Feat-copying Mythic for late Enchantments.

Can get Dazzling via Bard Talent at level three to be the group Intimidator (Dirge can even intimidate Undead) until Azata and Agony really turns on spells. Can do decent damage with Sling on regular fights to save casts after Dazzling.

(I'll probably just play LotRO with my boys since they're getting into that instead tho).

Holy fuck. Blightmaw was tough. I had to give it absolutely everything I had aside from resting and tailoring to it. Every entangling and difficult terrain spell I had, plus grease and anything else. My MC and Daeran just kept spamming summoning scrolls to keep it diverted. A couple of dispels and evil eye helped, but sheesh. I must have reloaded for 30 minutes. Worth it. Easily the hardest battle of the game thus far. More than Hosilla or the early Nabassu.

It helps to come back after getting Mythic 3 because then it also gets the -4 Sword of Valor malus.

Will this work, though? Particularly now, with the nerfed Wide Sweep? I'm not convinced it's procs count as attacks.

What should work, is Great Cleave.

Haplo leading Strike does work with great cleave. It really helps with the piddly ranged attack damage of my back line (Ember and Daeran). My original intent was to have two Leading Strike Cleavers, but if a char has leading strike, they cannot proc it. I'm not sure if that is a TTT issue or bug. I will try out Wide Sweep after I get out the of the dungeon. I called it a night after Blightmaw.

Play the DLC, then. "The Treasure of the Midnight Isles". Only builds and almost no story.

The scroll vendor Vissaliy Rathimus in Defender's Heart sells only divine scrolls.

I noticed that in last big patch they finally fixed opening inventory in during TB combat should now open inventory of right person. I think I reported that back when Midnight Isles DLC arrived and I came back to play this game again. And then I reported it again 2 months later because I was frustrated it was still not fixed.. nice to see they need 6+ months to fix basic (but really irritating) UI bugs. Or maybe only people on 'Dex play in TB mode..

this game is trash so far but I made it to the tavern where you can recruit mercenaries, they are very costly so it looks like I will have to suffer more of pozfinders companions for some time as I phase them out and try and get a cool icewind dale kind of experience out of the game.

Though I'm not sure this game is worth it. The general quality of everything to this point sucks. Everything about it feels like shit and I wonder if it's just me. I think Owlcat panders to gay people with shit taste. I want to kill every character I meet. The world is boring and gay. The combat is... I'm willing to give it time but it hasn't impressed me. Dungeon I explored was lame and not fun.

Can buildporn alone really carry an entire game, especially one that's supposed to be as massive as this?
