So Spell Specialisation +2 & Goggles of Mind Control +2 & one of Xanthir Vang Book (Enchantment +1) / Ashmaker (Evocation + 2) / Scimitar of Wind (Transmutation +1) / Delamere's Armor (Plant Domain +2, many are Transmutation so it would work without spec with the Scimitar)? Did I miss any options?

In TB you cant double charge, kite, group mobs for AOE Wide Sweep Charges. Tactical advantage trumps everything else.

Is it okay if I dislike this new song?

It's like some guy took a old timey clock and added some funny sounds around it. The previous composer worked harmoniously around the idea of the perfection inside something like a clock. This guy just seems to have plastered some shit around clock sounds.

Maybe I'll grow to like it later, but right now... ugh...

Well, this is it : my final attempt to play this game. I picked the Azata path because (1) it seems to be one of the least annoying paths, (2) it seems like a good fit for my Bard PC, and (3) it gives you a dragon, albeit a simple-minded one.

I've reached Act 3 again. The game feels like less of a chore than it did during my previous attempts, possibly because I've learned not to expect too much from it.

A few observations :

- How many enemies are immune to Hideous Laughter exactly ? Half of the time, even when the target fails its saving throw, it's not affected in any way.

- It's kind of sad that, in any given battle, 95% of enemy casualties are caused by my general casting Scorching Ray.

- Konomi has to be a succubus in disguise trying to cause dissension in the ranks of the crusade. I mean, how bad of a diplomat would you have to be to constantly antagonize and belittle the general you're supposed to be advising, instead of subtly guiding him/her in the direction you want ? It's as if her obnoxious behavior was only meant to prepare the player for the moment when his PC will get backstabbed by the queen.

- All the blood and gore isn't exactly inappropriate, because demons really are like that. However, it's extremely repetitive and, much like all the special powers you get for no good reason, it stops being impressive very quickly.

- Arueshalae is amazingly uninteresting so far. If I didn't know better, that might have convinced me that a reformed succubus was a bad idea in the first place.

Continuing with my ongoing theme of hyping up Mounted Combat - ironically its less dependent on charges/pounce than any other build and has zero need to waste feats for vital strike. Its also more reliable in damage than any other non-mounted melee in TB, at least prior to Legendries and similar size increases. The reason is simple - even if you cant charge you still full attacking every round.
You guys know what happens to enemies when you do that as full BAB class buffed by a brown-fur with elemental barrage.

Don't get me wrong, charge and pounce are still great to delete priority targets, but if you cant make the charge because of clutter or positioning, its absolutely no big deal, just drive to the enemy then rip and tear. In my opinion its a big selling point as the most annoying enemies are casters and the like so you want to get to them with full attack. Who needs quickened dimension doors anyway.

Not reliable at all.

Installed the Beta patch and still have this issue. Owlcats, when are you finally gonna fix mounted combat?
When it works, its nice. Also it no longer deals Pierce damage.

Frankly, I'd be okay with that. Plus Table Top Tweaks does have the Mounted Skirmisher feat AFAIK, so one could install that and still enjoy this mechanic kinda "legally" (albeit much later and at a cost).

Why would I ever want to use vicious weapon mode??? So many good weapons are ruined by it.

Because 1d6 averages to 3.5 dmg and with a tons of way to get some DR in the game so self damage could be easily mitigated. Mass Stoneskin, Adamantium armor, innate DR for barbarians/skalds/bloodragers and etc. I am pretty sure DR/alignment would work too.

Does DR in fact protect from Vicious? I don't think it's supposed to.

Also stacking rules in this game meant I was suffering from over 20 damage per Vicious swing (it was also boosted by modifiers, such as Spirited Charge and maybe Sword of Heavens too).
I stopped using that Vicious fauchard very quickly.

Lots of enemies are immune to lots of stuff, meaning that relying on debuffs is a bad strategy. Focus on buffing yourself instead.

And yes magic is completely busted but we've been over this.

Okay, so I've came back to this game after my previous playthrough got stuck in early ch4. Cleric-Angel feels nice, merged spellbooks FTW. However, I can't shake a feeling the game is actually way more buggy than it was on the release.

-Freezes on loading new area are now a menace
-As amazing merged spellbook is, the game fails to classify some spells as domain ones... I have two unused spellslots because of that damn bug, and on pretty high levels.
-Several mythic path spells have blatantly wrong description (wards in particular) or lack crucial information (i.e. wherever spell is standard or swift action)
-Sometimes, my healing mythic ability would instead damage companion. I thought it's because I'm healing Arue or evil-aligned character, but no, Seelah can get treacherously backstabbed by my angel mc too :)
-How many times I clicked an enemy to attack, and my character just ran past him in TB mode? There's no way I'm missclicking things all the time.

I'm surprised they still didn't rebalance the crusade mode, it's still slogfest with low lethality. Luckily, toybox mod and 10x game speed makes this part bearable.

That is also true, which is why you should work towards turning Ember into a nuker, not a disabler, Nenio's better suited for that one with her illusion focus. There's many items that buff ranged touch attacks and fire damage. Hellfire ray will become a weapon of choice against bosses. The only hex you're gonna be using by the endgame is death curse, maybe deep slumber in certain situations.

Funny you should say that. I kinda felt the same a lot of the time till Act V. So it was really necessary to have varied forms of CC and focus on enemy weaknesses (they typically have some, but you may not have the desired spell). But now in act V, enemy saves seem often pitifully low somehow.

Nothing wrong with Evil Eye, though. Its definitely one of her best powers.
