Pathfinder: Wrath
Ah question, will every body (who pledged appropriate ammount) get a copy for the game for Codex fundraiser Infinitron ? This is the first time I am going to partake in one.

Well mod support is one of the social goals, 18 stars to earn to get it. Seeing how there is 16 question marks I don't think all goals are worth equal points?

b221e257c0cc35635a475699c371c269_original.png

Honestly I skipped the Social Media stretch goal because they are usually just minor stuffs. Putting Mod Support there is strange because I reckon it requires more money compared additional 70k USD they ask to add a class into the game.

And really Mod Support is kinda vague isn't it. Is it full fledged module creator or is it just minor number tweaks/adding class kind of mod?

Coming from TDE, I'm not a fan of high(est) level "epic" game play, but it's obviously something DnD players like and so this and the mystics paths etc. are the logical next step from PF:KM. But I still like what I read so far.

I wonder how they would do if they ditched the shitty Golarion setting for another, their own creation perhaps.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Q)Will there be plans to improve animations?
A)
Creative Director: We are trying to improve each and every aspect of the game. We are putting effort into the animations, user interface, and visual effects, really into everything. We are trying to make it more better and interesting.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h23m16s

Q)Can the game run on Linux?
A)
Host: Stay tuned for more updates.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h24m5s

Q)Did you play Disco Elysium?
A)
Creative Director: Yes, I did. It's a great game, that was really inspiring to play. Disco Elysium was a completely different approach to the CRPG genre. It was more focused on the story and narrative. Our entire narrative team was in love with the game. Games like Disco Elysium are very interesting.

Lead Mechanics Designer: I haven't played it yet.

Host: I haven't played it either.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h24m20s

Q)What are the changes to the combat that you are the most excited about?
A)
Host: I am not sure if we can say.

Creative Director: For me it is new options that the mythic paths provides you with. We have also made enemies behave differently. For example for some of the creatures we are making their mechanics both interesting to play with, and very difficult to deal with. But it will also depend on the difficulty you chose for the game. If you are playing on the high difficulty, the enemy will have more abilities. If you are playing on the lower difficulty then some of the enemy's abilities will be turned off. Less focus on numbers.

Lead Mechanics Designer: I will also say that there will be different behaviors based on difficulty. Creature behavior was not the strongest part of the first game. This time around we tried to improve it. On the higher difficulties you should start seeing some interesting behavior from enemies.

Creative Director: There are many interesting ways for a creature to enter combat now. Unlike Kingmaker, where the enemy just stood there and waited for you to start the fight. Demons can now teleport and they like to teleport into the combat. Some of the creatures will want to climb over a wall, and ambush you. As a result you will have to be prepared.

Lead Mechanics Designer: Some of them on the higher difficulties for example can perform a coup de grace on you(WHAT! SOUNDS AWESOME!)

Creative Director: Some can paralyze you too.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h26m7s

Q)How in depth will army management be?
A)
Creative Director: As in the previous game the advisors can be companions or NPCs. There are characters with their own ideas and beliefs. Some of the decisions you can make will not be to their liking.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h30m49s

Q)If Wrath of the Righteous performs well, will consider making more Pathfinder CRPGs?
A)
Creative Director: It is too early to answer that.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h32m2s

Q)In Kingmaker you could assign companions to advisor positions, will companions have an important role in army management?
A)
Lead Mechanics Designer: Yes.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h33m24s

Developers talk about the dark path you can take in the game. Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h33m50s

Q)The kickstarter page mentions a "non-linear" adventure, yet the Paizo adventure path seems pretty linear. Can you talk more about this?
A)
Creative Director: We will be taking the same kind of approach from Kingmaker.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h35m37s

Q)Will we get to see early builds on Game Events later this year?
A)
Creative Director: In terms of showing the game to the public, it is too early to say. But we will be showing the game to the media. We will be visiting the PAX events as well. As soon as we have a version of the game that is very nice, we will be able to show that to the public.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h41m3s

Q)Can you say anything about pets?
A)
Creative Director: For this question we have to check with the team. I think that some of the pets from Kingmaker may make it into the game. But I have to check with the team about this.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h42m4s

Q)What are the main differences between Wrath of the Righteous and Kingmaker?
A)
Host: Well it's a completely different story.

Lead Mechanics Designer: More demons mostly.

Creative Director: Completely different story line. And we have mythic paths that allow you to become more powerful, and provide you an additional layer for character development. Which allows for more versatile builds. Essentially more of everything. We also expanded on classes. New companions, and new romances.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h44m41s

Developers talk about Voice Acting. Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h46m12s

Q)Earlier you mentioned improvements to choices system. Does this include a note on the feats stating feat dependencies?
A)
Creative Director: Yes. There will be improvements on the user interface for character creation and character development.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h46m38s

Q)Do companions views change throughout the game? Will companion development react to player decisions?
A)
Creative Director: The companions that join you already have established world views. Companions do react to the way you make decisions, your alignment, and world view. And can react accordingly.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h47m12s

Developers talk about social goals. Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h49m32s

Developers talk about Kingmaker classes. Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h50m12s

Q)What happens if you raise more money?
A)
Creative Director: We prepared some stretch goals for that. I can not tell any more than that.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h50m25s

Q)Will there be more experience in the higher difficulties?
A)
Lead Mechanics Designer: No, but yes. One of the changes in the game is that higher difficulties will have a higher count of enemies. While we will not significantly increase the experience, you will get more experience because of the higher count of enemies.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h51m8s

Q)In terms of game length how will Wrath of the Righteous compare to Kingmaker?
A)
Creative Director: I have a little story about that. When we were making Pathfinder: Kingmaker, we were thinking about making the game 80 hours.

Lead Mechanics Designer: If you go the Kickstarter for Kingmaker you will notice that game length is advertised with different hours.

Creative Director: Yeah, and we ended up with 120 hours for Kingmaker. This time around we learned some lessons and took into account how we calculated everything. Which lead us to 80 hours. And now we want to make an 80 hour adventure, again. But this time around we want to provide with more options for consequences to the choices. Especially for the mythic path. So its kind of broader but a little bit shorter. We will see how we reach the goal of 80 hour. We will probably end up with some higher number. It is a great adventure and we want to put a lot of options and story to it. Sometimes it is really difficult to get rid of parts of story you really like.

Lead Mechanics Designer: I like to say that its 80 hours if you play in story mode and do not read the story.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h52m12s

Q)Will there be more support for none combat role playing? How are you bringing the gap from table top?
A)
Creative Director: It's an interesting question. To answer that, I will have to talk about some things that may or may not make it through development. I guess we will leave this question for another stream.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h54m16s

Q)Will the list of skills change compared to Kingmaker?
A)
Lead Mechanics Designer: We have no intention of doing that. But we might do something in the future.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h55m3s

Developers talk about new feats and class features. Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h55m24s

Q)How long will development be?
A)
Host: That's a question no one can answer.

Creative Director: In our Kickstarter page there is a goal of June 20, 2021.
Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h55m57s

Developers talk about old feats. Time Stamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/546778042?t=1h56m38s

Q)Have you considered traits from Pathfinder table top?
A)
Creative Director: We like some of the traits from Pathfinder 2E, and we have a social goal about that.

Glad that they are working on this. Really even if the enemy just stand there making them having different behaviors and different abilities will hopefully makes combat more interesting vs Kingmaker where enemies just mostly do auto-attacks.

Creative Director: The companions that join you already have established world views.

This is somewhat of a big departure from Kingmaker isn't? One common theme in PfK was about challenging the companions belief. I think the only who didn't was Amira?

I don't think you can put these two in same sentence. It is like comparing a nobody with a superstar :P

Don't be something you're not - stoopid. I'm not comparing them, both of them managed to acquire significant funds and quickly and more than last time(s) and faster too, that's why they get to share same sentence. Something that was deemed no longer possible on Kickstarter for video games where even very good pitches of first comer devs have been stuggling for years to get more than 20-30k, if even that much. And that's not much at all, not even in some 3rd world country

One thing is obvious, gamers are people and people love winners! Come back with few victory belts from Steam, and people will recognize you as their Champion of Incline, and Owlcat definitely is one

That's eleven companions now, same number as Kingmaker. Wonder if there will be more New Companion stretch goals.

First Stretch Goal Reached! Now for the Second One – a New Companion

Dear Pathfinders,

Your support is incredible! The campaign has just started and you’ve already funded the first stretch goal. We want to thank each and every one of you, and we can’t tell you how happy and excited we are. We can count the warpriest in! So what’s next? Now it’s time to take a closer look at our second stretch goal. Everybody knows the more companions, the better, so why don’t we add an extra one to the board?

e833bbdb9e86bf475c4cfd84455ec31f_original.png

The wastelands of the Worldwound are full of traps and hidden treasures, waiting for the right person with a steady hand and a passion for looting. And you just so happen to have such a person in your party. Meet Woljif Jefto, an easygoing, over-talkative tiefling and eldritch scoundrel trying to find his place between two worlds.

Woljif was unlucky enough to be born in Mendev, the land ravaged by demons, where tieflings are still the subject of scorn and distrust. The birth of a boy with horns, a tail, and golden eyes was his family’s undoing. The secret that his seemingly human mother had tried to hide was now out: the blood of the abyssal creature had revealed itself. Woljif’s father left, never to return, and his mother took the boy to Kenabres, to the woman responsible for all the family’s misfortunes. Thus began Woljif’s life in Kenabres. His grandmother felt no remorse for her connection with demons. She saw her grandson only as a tool for stealing food and money, and she beat him mercilessly when he failed. From a young age, Woljif learned that the word “family” meant nothing if you were an unwanted child, and the word “friends” meant even less if you were a tiefling with clearly demonic features. Woljif has never learned anything about his demonic forebears, but he has always known that his heritage is waiting for him: something of both worlds that is truly his and his alone.

Day by day, trying to survive in the back alleys of Kenabres, Woljif learned stealth and magic tricks. Dreaming of wealth and indulging his greed, he made attempts to join local gangs, but those associations never lasted long. Woljif hates the feeling of belonging and fears ties of any sort, so every gang he has ever been in has ceased to exist one way or another, turned over by some “unknown informer.” Except for the Family, the Mendevian crime network better known in Kenabres as the “Thieflings.”

Woljif still works for the Thieflings, but now he does so for the benefit of both Family and Commander. He is a party vendor, always ready to buy your loot and sell you goods carefully selected by the Thieflings (from the homes of Mendevian citizens). Woljif isn’t a huge fan of fighting monsters, but, as an eldritch scoundrel, he sure has a knack for it. Used to relying only on himself, he knows some outstanding buff and debuff spells, as well as flashy magical attacks. Despite his demon-may-care spirit, he is an avid pupil and picks up spells as easily as any wizard. Woljif likes the rogues’ way, and is always ready to spice things up with some nasty magic, which makes him less sneaky but far more versatile than a common rogue. Outside of battle, Woljif is a loud-mouthed braggart, and seldom does it do him any good. He is always ready (apropos of nothing) to tell a tale or two about some guy he once knew and suggest some bizarre con scheme. If you help him find his place in the world, you may get more than just a magical thief and friendly vendor: Woljif Jefto has his own dark, unexplored side, just like the moon that shines down upon both the Abyss and Golarion.

To arms!
