An oasis of love and friendship.
Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
Finished Forgotten Sanctum... overall enjoyed it the most out of the three DLCs. also I found it funny to fight a giant goblin named NotNok...

I would rate Pillows series like this: White March > Forgotten Sanctum > Beast of Winter > Deadfire ≥ SSS > Pillows 1

Not a single one of them is on par with the white march ?
Is it due to shortness or they're just legit less atmospheric etc ?

I've started a new playthrough, was the fortune teller always there or is it some dlc addition ? I have no memory of it at all.

These screens just remind me how utterly stupid and fucked up it is for Woedica to be casually chillaxin' with rest of the pantheon like a balla. You know, considering what happened in the first one. Jesus, this game's plot is so retarded.
This is the main absurdity that stroke me during my release playthrough. This and, well, the fact that these conference calls mercilessly revealed these gods as utterly ineffectual.
It takes a german alright to conceive a pantheon which, in the world, works as what I imagine to be the usual routine of the Deutsche Bank upper management meetings.

Now that I think of it, between the starving communist locals and the plot which is basically a globalist consortium sending you on a quest to stop some former collaborater - who turned mad - to drop a marxist moon on the world by shutting off the dollar...
This game is a socialist pamphlet. With racist undertones. Intensely german. Sawyer.

Before you all go crazy RTwP is the least of this game's problems

Number 1 is Endurance. Two is the ruleset overall. Three and four are writing and bland worldbuilding (but I could live with those if the game was mechanically sound).

The main thing in that fight is the bosses debuff/buff from killing the little spiders:

Belranga gets her defences lowered for each dead spider, but also gains damage and speed I believe. If you were just focused on killing nests, perhaps you didn't kill enough of the little spiders to reliably hit her. I did it by clearing the bottom left of the map of nests at the start, occupying Bel with summons and throwing out AoEs whenever the other nests spawned spiders. Once her defences were low enough, the danger of her now high damage attacks is softened by the amount of disables you can land on her. Eder was there to take a hit when needed, but he wouldn't survive many at that point. Cipher with Ancestor's Memory was vital, for me.

Almost spoilerish advice:

Her paralyze has the poison keyword, you can brew some "K???" Tea to become immune to it.

Otherwise Cipher seems mandatory almost, fight is pretty long. With the above you can tank her indefinitely, just kill 50-60ish spiders before going ham on her.

Eder starts taking a lot of damage after you kill enough spiders, Kapa(?) Tea or not. (and runs out of heals eventually)

Guess I could try summon spamming her but 1 chanter isn't enough for that as she basically one shots even ogres.

Fortune teller was in the original game

BoW and SSS are pretty run-of-the-mill content. Competent, but far from greatness. SSS has some really great fights, though.

Forgotten Sanctum could rival WM depending on personal taste, but I would say WM is better for atmosphere and length, while FS gets better encounter design.

So as some of you may recall having beat all other fights within the span of max 2-3 reloads I was having trouble with the BoW dragon (30-40 min fights, dropped her to one health bar after which she would constantly heal for as much damage as I did, putting us in a never-ending stalemate). After about 16 reloads I decided to call it quits.

Well, after a very busy time at work it was finally back to PoE, so I went about some other business and leveled up, then came back to the dragon. Nothing has changed, the fight plays out nearly identically. I say nearly, because after 4 or 5 reloads I finally managed through whatever providence getting the dragon's health to drop!

Things were looking on track, the last bar went to 75%, 50%, 25% and then... she launched her jump attack and never came down, so now the fight is stuck in a neverending stalemate due to bugs rather than shitty encounter design

Easily the worst fight of any Pillars content, and clearly on my own personal top ten of worst RPG fights ever.

You are quite the optimist to post this on Obs' bug forums. My thread for the *game-breaking* bug is a week old now and I've gotten minimal and useless feedback from them. Unless they were on holiday a week before the actual holiday?

Wait, so you've spent over 10 hours just on this one boss battle!? Sheesh man, just accept defeat and lower the difficulty.

PotD Neriscyrlas was a first try for me.

No knockdowns (actually none throughout that playthrough) either, although a couple characters got pretty close to it.

I'm not surprised if you've played with a custom party. The difference in usefulness and power between the companions and hired adventurers is immense. My guy could do double or triple the damage of Eder in the first cave alone.

So, Bugsidian adressed the weak and disappoiting dragons of the base game's release version by adding stats-bloated ones in the xpacs

ps : are big ass monsters from the base game (dragons, kraken etc) still designed and tuned as level 13-ish monsters (as it appeared in the bestiary back then) ? I have little hope they actually changed it but that'd be nice.

I beat the second Neriscyrlas battle on my first try with story companions. Took me 10 minutes.

Eder, Maia and custom Hunter(devoted/stalker) and a custom Herald aura bot

I recall Obsidian said something about letting you keep some of your favorite equipments for your new playthrough, are they still planning to do that? Because lots of the equipment are really cool, but when you get them you've already finish like 99% of the content, so you don't get any chance to use them.

If you have a priest cast Resurrection/BDD on your tank, Ancestor's Memory on your priest and spam Salvation of Time.

Though after you nerf her defenses a bit you can interrupt-lock her, she doesn't get that much concentration.

You know what's funny?

When a butthurt idiot comments on a game and makes it apparent that he hasn't even played it yet...

It is unbelievable. A lot of idiots claim Kingmaker is GOTY while admitting they haven't even played it yet, and other idiots claim Deadfire was garbage, again, without even playing it...

Pretty sure he means the Endurance/Health split.
