An Obsidian Skyrim clone in the world of Eora will be some major incline!

Not to mention all the butthurt in the codex, especially if it sells like 10m+ copies, it will be GLORIOUS!

The setting doesn't feature big titted succubi and big burly men for casuals to fap to like in the Witcher, though.

Why would they make another game when no one wanted a sequel in the first place, beside the rabid fans that wanted to bang Palleginas cloaca or whatever. It's a bad franchise, Obsidian played it too safe, instead of going willy nilly with the creative process, which was the fucking point of the kickstartarter, also knowing that they don't have publisher breathing down their neck, what did they do instead? They made the safest bet in the world and created the most mundane pile of shit I have ever seen, not a single ounce of risk was taken, none.

The ruleset still needs some tweaks, but it's not bad now. We'll see how it adjusts to turn-based, but I don't think it should be abandoned.

The main problem with the setting is that the God and Engwithan stuff is very boring. The cultures themselves are quite detailed, but not compelling enough on their own to redeem the universe.

Do normies even still want to play a game with TES gameplay? I thought this was out of fashion and the hype is around RDR/Witcher 3 clones nowadays.

The most interesting aspect of the Pillars universe is the 16th-18th century theme. They should triple down on that.

Alternatively, they could expand the magical/divine aspect of the universe. The idea for there to be a true god and the Engwithans false gods was a really good one.

Why does this need to be a trilogy. This didn't need to be a duology in the first place and they shot themselves in the foot by making it a direct continuation. Making a second direct continuation is stupid.

What direct continuation? What plots archs and stories are continued exactly? None. It's a completely standalone story that just carries over MC and couple of companions.

It is a direct continuation in the sense that it continues the shitty god storyline from the first one. If it wasn't the protagonist from the first game, it would've been harder to justify a new one being the chosen of the gods. Imagine if it was a whole game only of faction politics and infighting, with scarcely a mention of gods anywhere. But we've been over this.

Fenstermaker had this dumb idea that the only stories worth telling in the Pillarsverse are ones that "can't be told in any other." Hence (fake) gods gods gods.

Peter Principle. He had no business being a creative lead, and his leaving Obsidian was best for both himself and Obsidian; too bad they didn't have anyone better to replace him with.

Why would i chose level scaling? If i wanted to play Skyrim i would just install it with loverslab mods.
You can choose to scale lower-than-your level enemies up to your level, but not scale higher-than-your level encounters down. Also PotD means +15 to all enemy defenses and +2 to their Armor Rating. Make sure you prepare foods that boost your penetration, and keep an eye on abilities which lower enemy AR.

On a sidenote - pardon my sexism, but I couldn't help but notice how all the male archmages are portrayed as either bufoons or evildoers, while all the female ones are sensible and striving to maintain peace and order.

If the world were ruled by women, there would be no war. Just a bunch of nations not talking to eachother.

Except, statistically speaking, the most bloodthirsty, vicious and warmongering rulers in history were women.

Got new pc in 2018 and never used cloud saves, so my berath points are gone for some reason. Spent few hours collecting them from scratch preparing for proper challenge run. Finished game already.
So starting island>few ship battles for kaptin rank>mapped one island>Deadlight>grabbed Rekke>vault, to get Fassina>meet queen and recruit all companions>Hasongo>Ashen>independent raid to Ukaizo. Also got most of minor achievements. Still ended with lvl 16 party just from main quest. ~45 or something points in the end. Lowered difficulty to story mode for final fight, because i sold almost everything to buy ships for achievement.
Now i'm ready.

Using this approach, we find that polities ruled by queens were 27% more likely to participate in inter-state conflicts, compared to polities ruled by kings. At the same time, queenly reigns were no more likely to experience internal conflicts or other types of instability.
That doesn't necessarily support your conclusion though. With that many more kings than queens, its that much more likely for kings to rule in times of geopolitical stability, no?

Huh. Interesting article. 28 instances is fewer than I liked but I guess within the data available it does hold. Thanks.

It was a joke guys. You can stop sperging now.
