I haven't paid too much attention to the sound effects, but Sawyer being Sawyer it's possible he may have opted for balanced sounds over unbalanced ones

Strap Yourselves In Pathfinder: Wrath
Anyone tried it with god challenges?
I did briefly. Of the god challenges, I found Galawain’s the most interesting. Each beast has a random buff, such as regeneration. It made otherwise forgettable encounters into something more interesting. If you combine it with Woedica’s challenge (abilities per rest again), I think early game will be more lively.

Eothas and Skaen challenges should be base gameplay anyway imo.

Actually since it's a standard action I've been trying to avoid it so far, probably sometimes to my detriment

Hi everyone! (Sorry to post in such an old thread but didn't really know where else to put this!) Another Microsoft insider has revealed the company plans for 2019!!!: https://www.resetera.com/threads/mi...h-good-intentions.94058/page-42#post-17261458

One of the highlights:

2019 will very much be a continuation of what we saw last year from Microsoft.

In terms of software, Microsoft's strategy for this year is to release the titles that have already been announced and issue updates / expansions for titles that are already on the market. Further expanding the company's GaaS strategy for first party titles. As I mentioned last year, a lot of the projects that Microsoft are working on are for 'next gen' so don't expect tons of new first party games be announced and released this year. The same goes for the studios that Microsoft acquired as a lot of them already have known games in development or are working on something for next gen. Although, I do know of one first party studio that will announce their new project this year.

Could Savaf be right and Microsoft are going to fund even more expansions for Deadfire! (Since Pillars of Eternity is totally now a 1st party game like Minecraft!!!)

Super (potentially) exciting news! Deadfire totally deserves to become even more fierce and snatched in 2019, sis!!!

bye!

Deadfire's still tied to Versus Evil(if its an obstacle for MS), don't think MS sees it as "first party" yet, it'll be interesting to see if they'll even see PoE a worthy franchise to invest into whether to make an aRPG out of it or preserving same style for gamepass and shit. They are probably hinting at Sea of Thieves' expansions and such.

Sounds like they'll just release the Definitive Edition for consoles and be done with it:

So, Safav Hamon, how do you square this:

As Josh said in his video, please send us feedback and any bugs that you might find! The team is much smaller now and we need to lock up our code for console ports, but we will definitely try to get to as much as we can. We will continue to take feedback until the end of February

With indications of future DLCs? "Much smaller" team, code freeze. Doesn't sound like it's happening unless this mysterious additional DLC is already mostly done.

Deadfire isn't "tied to Versus Evil" in any definitive capacity. Dark Rock Industries is the holder and owner of the intellectual property. Whether Microsoft also acquired the IP or Dark Rock Industries when they bought Obsidian is, to me at least, a mystery.

This particular game in the GREAT SAGA of Pillars of Eternity is tied to VE to some capacity, ofc VE doesn't have rights to the IP.

It will be interesting to see if windows manages to steal the Star wars IP from EA. A Kotor 3 made by Diversity Obsidian, that will be a shit show to see. It will sell like crazy for certainty.

Sailor Woedica why is not possible to talk on your profile? I wasn't even going to ask you anything dirty.

If what Safav saw in the game files wasn't just cut content or something, then it's probably going to be some sort of bonus DLC they put together for the console release. It would have to be something they started working on concurrently with the development of The Forgotten Sanctum, I think.

Why do you assume it is not both? Most likely a bunch of cut content that they were intending to make it a DLC and microsoft could give the ok on it. Still i find it baffling that they intend to make anything out of the PoE universe. It could have been interesting place to make games if they didn't fuck the lore sideways in the first game. Only thing that could save is some warhammer level of fuckary like making a bunch of real dark gods and/or demons trying to wipe those one and their place. Or having the gods being a pillars of wall that keeps the world isolated from the cosmic horrors of the warp and the demons! They kind off hint at this during the whole game, like whael and the observatory archmage talking about how the stars are wrong and disappearing. Any way,if they decide to make more DLCs i do hope that they keep and promote the writers from the Forgotten one,it pretty much incline compared to the rest of the game.

It's probably another Deck Of Many Things, maybe with a soulbound item or two for sale.

One thing I'm really curious about is why they went to the trouble of making a soul-bound sketch for the Mask of the Weyc. It wasn't in the game when the Forgotten sanctum was released, so did they do it since then?

There are some unused icons in the game files and also one file with the prefix "laxi", which could indicate an I DLC (we have A to H so far).

This relates with some of Safav images/ videos. The main theme (Woedica) is the same, so maybe its really something.

I don't want to read half the thread, so please indulge me: is the new TB-mode good? I had ignored PoE 2 until now, but this is very intriguing.

I'd say it has potential. It's not exactly good just yet, but they intend to improve on it for another month or so.

the reasons that make it shit are (1) longstanding issues with the base game, (2) TB-specific systems they probably aren't going to rework in just 1 month
If they dedicate more than 1 month to work on the TB mode then yeah it has potential to be ok, but as it stands not really.

I've just started my virgin run now and need some advice pls.

Due to other commitments, I probably won't have time for another one soon, so I have to avoid endless restarts and squeeze the most out of this :negative:

1. Are there any companions incompatible Korgan/Aerie style, i.e demand you to chose between them or have mutually exclusive side quests?
2. Is POTD any hard now, or like in PoE1 - tough for first 1-4 lvls and then a cakewalk?
3. Which npcs are most carcinogenic and should be avoided at all costs?
4. Is level scaling recommended? Don't want to get OPd 1/3rd into the main story and go on autopilot through the rest, but I'm worried about some obscene shit like lvl 15 xaurips with daedric weapons etc.
