I will finally play this when Obsidian backports the pronoun system from Avowed
Maybe one day instead of having mods that remove pronouns and woke shit we will have mods that add that shit.
We had something similar in the past, there it was romance mods.

Each level-up gives +3 Accuracy (as well as +3 to all saves). Each point of PER above 10 gives +1 Accuracy. In Deadfire, all classes start with 20 Accuracy. So by level 13, you could have 66 base (20 + (12*3) + (10*1)) if you took the right race and background for PER. Bring a Priest along for buffs (Devotions for the Faithful + Blessing gives 15 Accuracy in an AoE).

The only thing I ever googled about Deadfire is how much Sworn Enemy adds to your damage (it's +20%), and a couple items that are vague with their effects, everything else is explained very well by tooltips.

Let me rephrase that: not everything (i.e. the "duration" on chant effects is blatant lie), but good enough that I finished main game and DLC without having to look up every little thing.

Yeah sure but there are a hell of a lot of mechanics and hidden things that are not explained at all, and they have an extremely powerful effect on how your character performs in some cases

Yeah, there are some cryptic/hidden mechanics in some cases, but it's no Wiz 7.
All you need to know to roll on POTD without any problems is explained either in combat log or char screen.

Guys, now I'm having another problem.

This dragon, I'm fighting him. He stays in ground doing nothing and this spell is never cast.

Reloaded the game twice and same problem. "Stone and Flame" wouldn't cast and I can't do anything as the turns wouldn't progress... Any way to fix it?

With max focus, how much damage can soul annihilation dish in Pillars 2? At exactly 10:55 of this video, he OHKills a dragon boss with it. In the PotD difficulty. I'm not watching the entire playlist, but I'm watching some "segments" to see how he dealt with certain monsters in the challenge.

The problem is Expert Mode obscuring all the information, even the combat log, which is fucking stupid. I'd be interested to know how he managed that.

Yep. But I also struggle to get some stuff even without Expert Mode. I researched a bit in the Obsidian forum; it seems like it is the typical stacking of an endless amount of "buffs.".

That said, Death of thousands cuts + Disintegration + Concelhaut's Corrosive Skin. How much damage am I dishing out against him in this screenshot? Yes, I have beaten the game in Path of the Damned, and honestly, I didn't find it THAT hard. IMO, Knights of the Chalice 2 in normal difficulty was much harder.

Dominating few allies of him trivialized the fight.

IMHO, in harder difficulties, enemies should try to dispel charm/domination more often.

Dire Blessing

Buff from stealth to get 85% off of recovery time. The second level Resolve one is good too.

Druid with Woodskin or Chanter with the cone AR thingy also great openers to take advantage of quick recovery from Stealth.

I'm playing Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire in PotD + Solo challenge + Ondra's Challenge as a pure Psion (Cipher subclass), and I recently got to level 11 in 18 in-game days. Some questions

kv20J5j.png

  • 1 - How much more XP am I getting than with a full party? Doesn't seem to be 6x like BG2 nor seems to be merely 2x.
I'm using figurines to deal with certain challenges that have a limited amount of enemies.
  • 2 - Where can I find items that wouldn't run out of summons after 3 or more usages? And allow me to summon monsters to distract enemies a lot?
  • 3 - Where I can find items to boost my starting Focus. Out of combat, I have only 40 Focus. I want to be able to cast "Ringleader" out of combat to deal with some encounters.

I chose this class as a pure RP experience. If I wanted to really try the challenge, I would have multiclassed into a Chanter only for the summons and believed that it would have made the game ludicrously easier. Honestly, IDK if I can solo the game in this difficulty as a Psion, but I want to try and see how far I can get into.

Summon items:

Shipwreck NE of Port Maje, three for sale in Neketaka (Spindle, Herbalist, Dark Cupboard), one from scripted event on Neketaka street, one NW of Hag tree in Motare off the top of my head. Think I’ve got seven or so at lvl 12 rn.

Solo single-class Psion is not great. One thing you can do is get your Arcana up and use Scrolls to supplement your action econ. Sink merchant ships to top up.

Yes, the shades from Spindle are amazing. Sadly has a 3 usage limit. Herbalist and Dark Cupboard I will check. In my previous run, I had a item that summons a drake with no limit on usage. I'm trying to save item usage as much as possible. The last time that I have used Brine imp, I was surrounded by all sides by thugs in a encounter that I couldn't even dominate one of them without being killed.

But thanks anyway, two figurines that I got thanks from you is already +10 encounters that I can beat and wouldn't otherwise.

Honestly. I'm not thinking that I will be able to solo the game as a Psion in PotD. I just want to see how far I can go. If I was trying hard, I would have picked Chanter subclass.

I know, but I want to be a pure psion.

And I know that I'm making my game exponentially harder.

441 damage in a single spell

Still didn't found Dragon Pendant for perma summon and couldn't solo the Decay Boss in PotD so no way to get the sword that summons a drake without charges.
