Funnily enough, wife played PoE beta a little and asked me to make a... an interesting mod... She's a purist and usually plays IE games w/o mods, but is considering to use the ie mod if I fulfill her unusual request.

She said those backer names were ruining her immershun, because "Vasily Roskolnikov - a russian dude, Hiro something - a jap, Reirnu Halxijrei - some weaboo fag... if I wanted to meet all these people, I'd go to a naruto forum". And so she proposed I find a pool of good fantasy names and replace the backer names with the names from the pool, randomly.

I'm considering it, as an optional mod ofc, but I'm a bit concerned at the backsplash of butthurt it might cause on the obsidian forums. :D

Bester does Karkarov's solid UI work correctly for 16:10 resolutions such as 1920x1200? I'd imagine that since the width is identical to the 1920x1080 version, and only the height increased, it should work correctly.

No, of course not, you will need to adjust things in the .png and in the related text file.

Karkarov is doing 1440x900 and 1680x1050 frames for his mod. He said he would prefer to make the frames because

Karkarov: I will try the edit myself
Karkarov: going up = not so bad
Kardashian Kollection: kk cool
Karkarov: going down = WTF why is this space 5 pixels but this one 4 WTF!!!

Implemented the names mod, all that's left is to supply a large pool of names (preferably at least 100 per race and gender). If anyone knows a good place to get a simple list of such names, leave me a link.

I wonder what names to use for Orlans and Aumaua. Not even with this generator, but generally speaking. I'd be tempted to use halfling names for orlans, but those are very different races in reality. And for aumaua - no idea at this point.

For Aumaua, maybe pacific islander names? Or Maori names (indigenous New Zealanders)?

I'm pretty sure I found a list of "typical names" or some such written by Sawyer not too long ago... Maybe on his tumblr. I'll look for a bit, but maybe someone remembers exactly where it was.

Good mod btw. I don't like backer names in the game.

For those who want a different res of IE mod - we need to know what layout you want

A - default layout with left portraits, right log
B - left log, menu, portraits
C - attack, portraits, log, menu
D - menu, log, portraits, attack etc

That custom portrait texture is just the one Karkarov likes, it's not the default

With the new combat log and portrait frames texture, the UI pretty much looks perfect now. I prefer the layout in the screenshot for 1440x900.

Ooh, that's a damn shiny solid interface.

But no, first time through will be a clean play aside from the IE mod to get rid of the flashing green/red characters in combat.

I am not sure this question belongs in this thread, but how does Holy Radiance actually scale with a priest's reputation? What is the math behind it? I can only find a general description and no specifics.

Also, can that reputation scaling mechanic be given to the other deity spells, such as Hope Eternal? Please excuse my ignorance of code.
