I remember people were displeased about that potion implementation when Witcher 3 did it, but in the end it doesn't look like it was that big of a deal.

I'm puzzled why they didn't want to experiment with some new design for potions. It's perhaps the one feature where even the biggest autists wouldn't mind some innovation. I have yet to meet one person who thinks potion hoarding wasn't a problem.

The game was trash from top to bottom, except of course for the tops and bottoms of the female characters, but that's what SFM is for. No one's going to be bothered by potion implementation if tasteless console-tier retards are the only ones actually playing it.

I sort of vaguely remember being pissed that TW3's alchemy only needed herbs the first time you made each potion. Is that how it worked? Because that was lame. Otherwise I have no problem with it.

You didn't quote. Why didn't you quote? These two sentences alone are pure gold.

Where Pillars 1 had a European feel to its landscapes, the Deadfire more closely resembles the southern Pacific island chains of Asia. Expect to see many different forms of foliage, fauna, and architecture, with little that would blend in on the set of The Lord of the Rings.

"The southern Pacific island chains of Asia." Mm-hm.

Edit: it gets better

Pillars of Eternity II, like all great RPGs, places a great emphasis on curious travel, but this time both the lands and sea will be available for your perusal.

Is Obsidian sponsoring worst gaming sites to shift the expectations of the game lower, while they themselves hype it? Are they playing goodcop-badcop in marketing? Are they trying to set up the fall for the failure that will be dumpsterfire by making even the articles incompetent thus subconsciously adjusting our critical analysis standards?

Witcher 3 is an excellent game, as long as you don't ask of it things it can't do.

Such as actually require the player to think rather than laying out a line of glowing LEGOs leading directly to every investigative objective courtesy of Batman Detective Vision Witcher Sense.

Yes. It's an interactive movie with twitch combat and the ritual of puzzle solving instead of actual puzzle solving.
