Lurker King I didn't say PoE was great because of sales. I said it sold because it's great.

Why is that any different? If the number of sales can attest the quality, then the number of sales of Skyrm can attest its quality. The game sold because it’s great, right. That is a fallacy.

I see that someone skipped logic lessons.
A -> B does not mean that B -> A.

I see someone skipped epistemology lessons, because we are discussing what is a good evidence for the quality of a game, which is another subject. Saying that a big number sales is evidence for the quality of PoE implies that a big number of sales is evidence for the quality of any game, especially popamoles.

I think I am going to wait for patching of 3.0 to be done before I play again. I hope the IEEMod will also be available for that version because I want to play more similar to a better game.

They really needed it. With the 3.0 chanter buff every class was atleast worth using with the exception of the them. Provided that the buff is decent, all the classes will be pretty good now imo.

Delayed until it's ready for showing.

I'd guess next Friday. Four days from release, so it'd be at its most polished and fresh in people's minds when it's ready for playing.

That does not sound that well. I guess we will need to wait for version 4.0 until it is all fixed and patched :D

In written form:
Stronghold fluff for the timer content and a questline as addition.

Injuries: when a character is knocked down in a fight they'll get an injury. The video's example was a -25 Reflex malus until the next rest. Someone who remembers the numbers might be able to comment on how significant that is. Prime Junta Its not yet clear though if multiple knockdowns lead to multiple injuries.

Story Mode: the same old rebranding of the easiest difficulty mode.

Athletics and Survival got special abilities. Athletics gives you a personal heal. Survival gives you options for special bonuses when camping.

Better organization and some more info for the Beastiary.

Per encounter and per rest abilities are labeled and organized as such in the action bar.

Less trash mobs in late game maps and Od Nua. Infinitron
Has any other character ability received similar care as Athletics and Survival?

For PotD, I'd be very pleased with applying a debuff like that to an enemy. But I don't think it's a massive problem for your party members, as you're probably doing everything you can to prevent reflex targeting abilities (mostly spells) from going off anyway. Endgame the average party member is at ~80 ref/fort/will, so it is a significant drop.

-25 is a lot. One advantage of PoE's system is that the consistent +3 Accuracy and Defenses increase per level allows you conceptualize every single bonus/malus in terms of equivalent level gain/loss. A -25 bonus is equivalent to the loss of over 8 levels in terms of your Reflex defense score.

(So in a way, PoE does have BG2-style level draining. This puts the lie to claims that "the only thing that matters in PoE is leveling up". That's only true at early levels before you gain significant "level boosting/draining" abilities. And it's equally true in D&D - when you're low level, the single best thing you can do for your character is levelling up. I mean, duh.)

Wonder if they've thought o doing tiered wounds, so as to make em a bit more significant, say normal minor wounds you can get rid by resting in wild while middling ones you need better resting conditions, and perhaps a few healing products. You could even have serious injuries necessitate a period of bedrest and convalescence, maybe need to have an animancer transfer some life energy from a dying creature or someat into you?

Oh man, it is such a good feeling looking and listening to this game. Although it was a bit underwhelming when I first played it, it still had such a good atmosphere. I can't wait to play it again after the last expansion comes out, with all the improvements made in the last year.

I have spent 250 hours on Pillars and reading here a lot made me more disappointed then I should. Sure it could have been better in story and combat but as it is I'm happy the way it turned out and can't wait for part 2 and a sequel. Until Torment kicks in this is the best choice as a party based CRPG. I still think higher of Underrail but that's another story.

These kinds of suggestions popped up in beta often. There were many calls to expand the wound system.

On a related note, I saw a post by them possibly making conditions tiered in a sequel (Daze -> Stun, etc). This is something that I and others suggested during beta. So, instead of a graze leading to a half duration stun, it would be a Daze instead, etc.

It's good that they are so self reflective and open to feedback. The game is already good and it keeps getting better. I can't wait till WM2 is released. It should be a blast.
